Psalms 22:1-31
1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?
2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and in the night, and am not silent.
3 Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.
4 In You our fathers trusted; They trusted, and You delivered them."
5 They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.
6 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by humankind and despised by people.
7 All who see me deride me; they bust out the lip, they shake the head,
8 "He trusts in the LORD; let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him."
9 But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother's breasts.
10 On you I was cast from the womb. From my mother's belly you have been my God.
11 Don’t be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is no one to help.
12 Many bulls have surrounded me, strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.
13 they gape on me with their mouths as a tearing and a roaring lion.
14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted within me.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; and you have brought me into the dust of death.
16 For dogs have surrounded me; a gang of evil-doers has encircled me. They pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I can count all my bones. People stare and gloat over me.
18 They divide My garments among them and cast lots for My clothing.
19 But You, O LORD, be not far off; O My Strength, hurry to help Me!
20 Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog.
21 Save me from the mouth of the lion, and from the horns of the wild oxen answer me.
22 I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you.
23 You who fear the LORD, praise him. All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him. Revere him, all you descendants of Israel.

1 Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
3 I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail looking for my God.
4 Those who hate me without cause are more than the hairs of my head. My persecutors are mighty, and they want to destroy me. Must I be forced to return what I did not steal?
5 God, you know my sins, and my guilt is not hidden from you.
6 Let those who wait for you not be put to shame because of me, O Sovereign LORD Almighty. Let those who seek you not be disgraced because of me, O God of Israel.
7 For I have suffered reproach for Your sake; shame has covered my face.
8 I am a stranger to my brothers, a foreigner to my mother's sons.
9 Zeal for your house consumes me, and the mockeries of those who insult you fall on me.
10 I weep and fast, and I am mocked for it.
11 When I put on the clothing of grief, they said evil of me.
12 Those who sit at the gate talk of me and I am the song of the drunkards.
13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O LORD, at a time of favor, O God! in the plentitude of Your mercy answer me, in the truth of Your salvation.
14 Rescue me from the mud and do not let me sink. Rescue me from those who hate me, and from the deep waters.
15 Do not let the torrent of waters flood over me, or the deep swallow me, or the pit close its mouth over me.
16 Answer me, O LORD, because your loyal love is good; according to your abundant mercies, turn to me,
17 Do not hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily.
18 Draw near and redeem me; ransom me because of my enemies.
19 You know my reproach and my shame, and my dishonor; my enemies are all before You.
20 Reproach hath broken my heart, and I am overwhelmed: and I looked for sympathy, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
21 They gave me also gall for my food, and made me drink vinegar for my thirst.
22 Let their table before them become a snare, may it become a retribution and a trap.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see. Let their backs be continually bent.
24 Pour out Your wrath on them; and let the glow of Your anger overtake them.
25 Let their palace be desolate, and let no one dwell in their tents.
26 For they persecute those whom you have struck, and they brag about the pain of those you have wounded.
27 Charge them with crime upon crime. Do not let them come into your righteousness.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.
29 But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me.
30 I will praise the name of God in song, and magnify him with thanksgiving.
31 That will please the LORD more than oxen and bulls with horns and hooves.
32 The humble have seen and are glad; you who seek God, your heart shall live.
33 For the LORD hears the needy and does not despise his captive people.
34 Let heavens and earth praise him, the seas and all that moves in them,

Psalms 72:1-20
1 By Solomon. God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.
2 He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.
3 The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
4 May he defend the afflicted of the people and deliver the children of the poor, but crush the oppressor.
5 and continue, as long as the sun and moon, through all generations.
6 May he descend like rain on mown grass, like showers watering the earth.
7 In His days the righteous shall flourish, and plenty of peace, till the moon is not.
8 He shall also rule from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 The dwellers in the desert shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will bring tribute (presents). The kings of Sheba and Seba will offer gifts.
11 Yes, all kings will bow down before him. All nations will serve him.
12 For he will deliver the needy who crieth, and the afflicted, who hath no helper;
13 He will have pity on the poor and needy, he will save the needy persons.
14 He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight:
15 And he shall live, and the gold of Sheba shall be given to him. Men shall pray for him continually. He shall bless him all day long.
16 Abundance of grain shall be throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.
17 His name endures forever, his name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed in him, all nations will call him blessed.
18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.
19 Blessed be to his glorious name forever. May the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen!

Psalms 88:1-18
1 A song. A psalm of the sons of Korah. For the music director; according to Mahalath Leannoth. A maskil of Heman the Ezrahite. O LORD, God of my salvation, I cry out by day and through the night before you.
2 Let my prayer come before you: incline your ear to my cry;
3 For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near the grave.
4 I am counted among those who go down into the pit. I am like a man who has no help,
5 set apart among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more. They are cut off from your hand.
6 You have laid me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths.
7 Your wrath lies heavily upon me; You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Selah.
8 You have taken my friends from me. You have made me an abomination to them. I am confined, and I can’t escape.
9 My eye languishes from misery. I call on you, O LORD, every day; I spread out my hands to you.
10 Do you show wonders to the dead? Do the dead rise up and praise you? Selah.
11 Is Your grace declared in the grave? Or Your faithfulness in Destruction?
12 Are your wonders known in the darkness, or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
13 I cry out to you for help, O LORD, and in the morning my prayer will come before you.
14 Why, LORD, have you rejected me? Why have you hidden your face from me?
15 Ever since I was young, I have been suffering and near death. I have endured your terrors, and now I am in despair.
16 Your burning anger has swept over me. Your terrors have destroyed me.
17 They came around me like water all day long. They completely engulfed me.
18 You have taken my loved ones and friends far away from me. Darkness is my only friend!
Psalms 109:4-20
4 In return for my love they accuse me, though I am in prayer.
5 And they repaid me evil for good: and hatred for my love.
6 Appoint the evil one to oppose him. Let an accuser stand at his right hand.
7 When he is judged, let him come out guilty, and let his prayer become as sin.
8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office of overseer.
9 May his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 may his children be wandering beggars, let them be sought from their ruins.
11 Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.
12 May no one extend gracious love to him, or show favor to his fatherless children.
13 Let his descendants be cut off. Let their name be blotted out in the next generation.
14 Let the iniquity of his ancestors be remembered before the LORD, and let the sin of his mother not be blotted out.
15 let them be always before the LORD, so that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth;
16 For he didn't think to extend gracious love; he harassed to death the poor, the needy, and the broken hearted.
17 Yea, he loved cursing, and it came to him; he also had no pleasure in blessing, and it was far from him.
18 He put on cursing like a robe, and it has come into his body like water, and into his bones like oil.
19 May those curses wrap around him like a garment, or like a belt that one always wears.
20 May this be the way the LORD repays my accuser, those who speak evil against me.
Psalms 110:1-7
1 A Psalm by David. the LORD says to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.
2 the LORD will send out your mighty scepter from Zion; rule in the midst of your enemies.
3 Your people will volunteer in the day of your power. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, you will have the dew of your youth.
4 The LORD has sworn, and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek."
5 The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath.
6 He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth.
7 He will drink of the brook in the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

3 His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears;
4 but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all humankind together shall see it, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken."

8 "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever."

3 He said to me: "You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will show my glory."
