²² “What then should I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” Pilate asked. They all answered, “Crucify Him!”

³¹ If the men of my tent did not say, Who has not had full measure of his meat?

⁸ "He trusts in the LORD; let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him." ⁹ But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother's breasts.

¹² "What should I do with the one you call the King of the Jews?" Pilate asked. ¹³ And again they cry out, Stake! ¹⁴ "Why, what crime has he committed?" asked Pilate. But they vehemently shouted, "Crucify Him!"

²⁰ Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate addressed them again, ²¹ But they kept on shouting, "Crucify him! Crucify him!" ²² A third time he appealed to them: "Why, what crime has the man committed? I have discovered in him nothing that deserves death. I will therefore give him a light punishment and release him." ²³ But they kept shouting the more insistently, demanding that he should be crucified, and their shouts won the day. ²⁴ So Pilate decided to grant their demand.

¹⁴ (it was the day of Preparation for the passover, about noon). "There is your king!" he said to the Jews. ¹⁵ At this, they shouted, “Away with Him! Away with Him! Crucify Him!” “Shall I crucify your King?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” replied the chief priests.

³⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.
