14 because you rebelled against my word in the desert of Zin when the community quarreled regarding my holiness at the waters." (These are the waters of Meribah-Kadesh in the desert of Zin.)
15 And Moses said to the Lord,
16 "Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the community
17 And may go out and in before them, and may lead them out, or bring them in: lest the people of the Lord be as sheep without a shepherd.
18 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and place your hand on him.
19 Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before the entire community, and commission him in their sight.
20 "Give him some of your authority, so that the whole congregation of Israel will obey him.
21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before LORD. At his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the sons of Israel with him, even
22 Moses did as the LORD commanded him. He had Joshua stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation.
23 and he laid his hands on him, and commissioned him, as the LORD spoke by Moses.

5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord.
6 There are different ways of working, but the same God works all things in all men.
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who apportions them to each one as He determines.

5 And whenever you go into a house, first say, Peace be to this house.
6 If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.
7 Stay at the same house, eating and drinking whatever you are offered. For the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
8 If you enter a town and they welcome you, eat whatever is set before you.
9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’
10 But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say,
11 ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off as a testimony against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.’
