Romans 3:2 Cross References - VIN

² Much in every way. First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.

⁷ For what great nation is there, that has a god so near to them, as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him? ⁸ And what other great nation has for it just rules and regulations just like this whole law that I am setting before you today?

¹³ "You came down also on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments, ¹⁴ and made known to them your holy Sabbath, and commanded them commandments, statutes, and a law, by Moses your servant,

⁴ We will not hide them from their children, telling the next generation the praises of the LORD, and his power and his wonders that he has done. ⁵ He established a decree in Jacob, and established the Law in Israel, that he commanded our ancestors to reveal to their children ⁶ so that the next generation might know— children yet to be born— that they might rise up and tell their children, ⁷ that they might set their hope in God, and not forget God's deeds, but keep his commandments,

¹⁴⁰ Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them.

¹⁹ He speaks his word to Jacob, his laws and judgments to Israel. ²⁰ He has not done this for just any nation. They do not know his ordinances. Praise the LORD.

²⁰ To the Law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because no light is in them.

¹¹ and I gave them my statutes and declared unto them my rights, by which the man that does them shall live by them. ¹² '""I also gave them certain days to worship me as a sign between us so that they would know that I, the LORD, made them holy.

²¹ But I will tell you that which is inscribed in the Book of Truth. And there is no one who contends with me against them except Michael, your prince."

²⁹ Abraham answered, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them listen to them.' ³⁰ And he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent!' ³¹ He said to him, 'If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced, not even if one rose from the dead."

³⁹ You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very words that testify about Me,

³⁸ He was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers. And he received living words to pass on to us.

² which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures,

¹⁸ if you know His will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the Law;

³ What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness?

⁴ the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory and the covenants; theirs the giving of the Law, the temple worship, and the promises.

¹ I ask then, did God reject His people? Certainly not! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. ² God did not reject His people, whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says about Elijah, how he appealed to God against Israel:

¹⁵ For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? ¹⁶ If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole lump is holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. ¹⁷ Now if some branches have been broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others to share in the nourishment of the olive root, ¹⁸ do not boast over those branches. If you do, remember this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. ¹⁹ You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” ²⁰ That is correct: They were broken off because of unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. ²¹ For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. ²² Take notice, therefore, of the kindness and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. ²³ And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

²⁸ As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake, but as far as election is concerned, they are loved for the sake of their ancestors. ²⁹ For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable.

¹⁷ For if I transact this voluntarily, I have a reward: but if involuntarily, an administration is entrusted to me.

¹⁹ that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

⁷ On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted to preach the gospel to the Gentiles, just as Peter had been to the Jews.

²⁰ O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge,

¹⁵ From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, ¹⁷ so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

¹² Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to reteach you the basic principles of God’s word. You need milk, not solid food!

¹¹ If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁹ And we have the prophetic word made more sure, and you will do well to pay attention to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. ²⁰ Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from the prophet’s own interpretation. ²¹ for prophecy never came by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren, who hold to the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

⁶ And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants the things which must soon take place."
