²⁶ See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?

²⁹ God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food. ³⁰ To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food;” and it was so. ³¹ God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

⁴¹ Who provides for the raven his prey, when his young ones cry to God, and wander for lack of food?

¹¹ They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst. ¹² The birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.

²⁷ These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. ²⁸ You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.

¹⁵ The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season. ¹⁶ You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

⁹ He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.

³² For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

⁹ Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?

²⁹ “Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, ³⁰ but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. ³¹ Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.

How much more valuable are you than birds! ²⁵ Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height? ²⁶ If then you aren’t able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest? ²⁷ Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ²⁸ But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith? ²⁹ Don’t seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious. ³⁰ For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things. ³¹ But seek God’s Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you. ³² Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.
