⁸ The centurion answered, “Lord, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

¹⁰ I am not worthy of the least of all the loving kindnesses, and of all the truth, which you have shown to your servant; for with just my staff I crossed over this Jordan; and now I have become two companies.

When he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof. ⁷ Therefore I didn’t even think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant will be healed.

¹⁹ I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants.”’

²¹ The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

²⁷ He is the one who comes after me, who is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I’m not worthy to loosen.”

⁶ Then he came to Simon Peter. He said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” ⁷ Jesus answered him, “You don’t know what I am doing now, but you will understand later.” ⁸ Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I don’t wash you, you have no part with me.”
