⁹ Israel, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.

⁵ Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;

²⁹ You are happy, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by Yahweh, the shield of your help, the sword of your excellency? Your enemies will submit themselves to you. You will tread on their high places.”

²⁰ Our soul has waited for Yahweh. He is our help and our shield. ²¹ For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

³ Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.

⁸ Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.

¹¹ For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.

² Let Israel now say that his loving kindness endures forever. ³ Let the house of Aaron now say that his loving kindness endures forever. ⁴ Now let those who fear Yahweh say that his loving kindness endures forever.

¹ A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in Yahweh are as Mount Zion, which can’t be moved, but remains forever.

⁷ Israel, hope in Yahweh, for there is loving kindness with Yahweh. Abundant redemption is with him.

¹⁹ House of Israel, praise Yahweh! House of Aaron, praise Yahweh! ²⁰ House of Levi, praise Yahweh! You who fear Yahweh, praise Yahweh!

⁵ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God: ⁶ who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;

⁵ “Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

¹⁷ Don’t be a terror to me. You are my refuge in the day of evil. ¹⁸ Let them be disappointed who persecute me, but let not me be disappointed. Let them be dismayed, but don’t let me be dismayed. Bring on them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
