¹⁰ always, wherever we go, carrying with us in our bodies the putting to death of Jesus, so that in our bodies it may also be clearly shown that Jesus lives.

¹⁹ Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me: because I live, you also shall live.

⁹ And, in a vision by night, the Lord said to Paul, "Dismiss your fears: go on speaking, and do not give up. ¹⁰ I am with you, and no one shall attack you to injure you; for I have very many people in this city."

⁵ For since we have become one with Him by sharing in His death, we shall also be one with Him by sharing in His resurrection.

⁸ But, seeing that we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him;

¹⁷ and if children, then heirs too--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ; if indeed we are sharers in Christ's sufferings, in order that we may also be sharers in His glory. ¹⁸ Why, what we now suffer I count as nothing in comparison with the glory which is soon to be manifested in us.

³⁶ As it stands written in the Scripture, "FOR THY SAKE THEY ARE, ALL DAY LONG, TRYING TO KILL US. WE HAVE BEEN LOOKED UPON AS SHEEP DESTINED FOR SLAUGHTER."

⁵ For just as we have more than our share of suffering for the Christ, so also through the Christ we have more than our share of comfort.

⁹ Nay, we had, as we still have, the sentence of death within our own selves, in order that our confidence may repose, not on ourselves, but on God who raised the dead to life.

⁴ For though it is true that He was crucified through weakness, yet He now lives through the power of God. We also are weak, sharing His weakness, but with Him we shall be full of life to deal with you through the power of God.

¹⁷ From this time onward let no one trouble me; for, as for me, I bear, branded on my body, the scars of Jesus as my Master.

¹⁰ I long to know Christ and the power which is in His resurrection, and to share in His sufferings and die even as He died; ¹¹ in the hope that I may attain to the resurrection from among the dead.

²⁴ Now I can find joy amid my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my own person whatever is lacking in Christ's afflictions on behalf of His Body, the Church.

¹¹ Faithful is the saying: "If we died with Him, we shall also live with Him;

¹³ On the contrary, in the degree that you share in the sufferings of the Christ, rejoice, so that at the unveiling of His glory you may also rejoice with triumphant gladness.

¹⁷ When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if I were dead. But He laid His right hand upon me and said, "Do not be afraid: I am the First and the Last, and the ever-living One.
