³⁸ Then He came to the synagogue ruler’s house and found a commotion—weeping and loud wailing.

²³ When Jesus came into the ruler’s house and saw the flutists and the crowd making a commotion, ²⁴ He says to them, “Go away, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping”. So they began to ridicule Him.

¹⁷ and saying, ‘We played the flute for you and you did not dance; we mourned for you and you did not lament’.

²² And then, one of the synagogue rulers, named Jairus, comes, and upon finding Him he falls at His feet
