⁷ The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: ⁸ But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn to your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bond-men, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

⁹ He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

³ To appoint to them that mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.

¹⁸ But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

¹³ As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known towards his servants, and his indignation towards his enemies.

⁶ And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.

¹⁷ And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst perform among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.

⁸ Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

⁷ Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; verily, I have made him.

¹⁹ So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.

²³ And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

⁹ And the LORD will be king over all the earth: in that day will there be one LORD, and his name one.

²⁵ For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, (lest ye should be wise in your own conceits) that blindness in part hath happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles shall be come in.

⁹ And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing to thy name.

⁹ But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

³ Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey. ⁴ Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God is one LORD:

³⁹ See now that I, even I am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, ¹⁹ Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and around to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

⁴ Therefore as concerning the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

⁶ One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

⁴ God also bearing them testimony, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?

³² That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

⁸ (5:7)But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship towards thy holy temple.

⁴ Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. ⁵ Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

¹² What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

³ For thy loving-kindness is before my eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

¹¹ Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.

³⁰ I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.

³³ HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it to the end.

⁷³ JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

⁸ Cause me to hear thy loving-kindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way in which I should walk; for I lift up my soul to thee. ⁹ Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies: I flee to thee to hide me. ¹⁰ Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

³⁸ And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: ³⁹ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

² Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.

⁸ (14:7)They that dwell under his shade shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent of it shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

⁵ And them that worship the host of heaven upon the house-tops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham;

⁶ The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and turned many away from iniquity.

²² The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light. ²³ But if thy eye be evil, thy whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee is darkness, how great is that darkness! ²⁴ No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught from God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned from the Father, cometh to me. ⁴⁶ Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he who is from God, he hath seen the Father.

²⁰ Neither pray I for these alone; but for them also who shall believe on me through their word. ²¹ That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

⁴⁶ And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, ate their food with gladness and singleness of heart,

¹⁷ But he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit.

²¹ Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of demons.

³ But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

²¹ If indeed ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

¹⁷ And whatever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

²² Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: ²³ And whatever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;

⁴ I rejoiced greatly, that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

³ For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. ⁴ I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

⁵ And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

¹³ Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

²⁰ And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed their heads, and worshiped the LORD, and the king.

¹ Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. ² While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.

⁵ Trust in the LORD with all thy heart; and lean not to thy own understanding. ⁶ In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths.

¹ And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thy anger is turned away, and thou hast comforted me.

³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

⁶ That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁰ For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

³¹ Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

¹⁹ Speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,

⁹ And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals of it: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and language, and people, and nation; ¹⁰ And hast made us to our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. ¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and the living beings, and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. ¹³ And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be to him that sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb for ever and ever.

¹⁸ He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

²² Yes, his soul draweth near to the grave, and his life to the destroyers.

²⁴ Then he is gracious to him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.

²⁸ He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

¹⁰ For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.

⁸ The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in mercy. ⁹ He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. ¹⁰ He hath not dealt with us according to our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. ¹¹ For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy towards them that fear him. ¹² As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

⁴ (108:3)I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises to thee among the nations.

⁸ For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

¹⁷ Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.

³ (2:2)And said, I cried by reason of my affliction to the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardst my voice. ⁴ (2:3)For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods encompassed me: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. ⁵ (2:4)Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again towards thy holy temple. ⁶ (2:5)The waters encompassed me, even to the soul: the depth inclosed me on every side, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

⁵⁸ And her neighbors and her cousins heard that the Lord had shown great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

And he said, Thy servant is one of the tribes of Israel. ³ And Absalom said to him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed by the king to hear thee. ⁴ Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man who hath any suit or cause might come to me, and I would do him justice! ⁵ And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him. ⁶ And in this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel. ⁷ And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said to the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed to the LORD, in Hebron. ⁸ For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD. ⁹ And the king said to him, Go in peace, So he arose, and went to Hebron. ¹⁰ But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron. ¹¹ And with Absalom went two hundred men from Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing. ¹² And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counselor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

²⁰ Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

¹⁴ And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.

⁴ The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

¹¹ He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.

¹³ Why doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

⁴ Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

⁵¹ The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet I have not declined from thy law.

⁶⁹ The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.

⁸⁵ The proud have digged pits for me, which are not according to thy law.

⁵ (140:4)Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

¹² Then said he to me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.

⁹ Then said he to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.

³ Then assembled the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, in the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, ⁴ And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

¹ When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death. ² And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

²⁷ For in truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were assembled, ²⁸ To do whatever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

⁶ And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all that are wise-hearted I have put wisdom; that they may make all that I have commanded thee: ⁷ The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy-seat that is upon it, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,

¹⁸ The LORD is long-suffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation.

¹⁰ (85:9)Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

⁵ For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and abundant in mercy to all them that call upon thee.

³ He hath remembered his mercy and his truth towards the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

⁴ He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

⁸ The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

⁸ Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers: ⁹ And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing to thy name.

⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, ⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, hath made us alive together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) ⁶ And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places, in Christ Jesus: ⁷ That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness towards us, through Christ Jesus.

¹⁶ Turn thee to me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

⁷ The LORD is my strength, and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. ⁸ The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

¹³ Return, O LORD, how long? and repent thou concerning thy servants.

¹⁶ O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

¹³² Look thou upon me, and be merciful to me, as thou usest to do to those that love thy name.

³ In the day when I cried thou didst answer me, and strengthen me with strength in my soul.

¹⁶ That he would grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

¹⁷ And he said to him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then show me a sign that thou talkest with me.

⁹ Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth. ¹⁰ For my enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together, ¹¹ Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him. ¹² O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help. ¹³ Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.

²⁰ Thou, who hast shown me great and severe troubles, wilt revive me again, and wilt bring me again from the depths of the earth. ²¹ Thou wilt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

⁹ We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.

²⁹ Let my adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

²² Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?

⁸ Rejoice not against me, O my enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me. ⁹ I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he shall plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness. ¹⁰ Then she that is my enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said to me, Where is the LORD thy God? my eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

⁵ To deliver such one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
