² For I determined not to know any thing among you save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

⁸ Yea doubtless, and I account all things to be loss, for the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord; for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do account them but dung, ⁹ that I may gain Christ, And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith: ¹⁰ That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable to his death:

³ And this is life eternal, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

²² For whereas the Jews demand signs, and the Greeks seek wisdom, We preach Christ crucified, ²³ to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness: ²⁴ But to them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. ²⁵ Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

¹ O thoughtless Galatians, who hath bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you!

¹⁴ But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world is crucified to me, and I unto the world.
