² The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, being in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran, And said to him,

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁴ and on earth peace; goodwill toward men.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.

⁴¹ These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

¹ Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye now my defence unto you.

⁷ And when he had said this, there arose a contention between the Pharisees and the Saducees: and the multitude was divided.

⁸ Which none of the rulers of this world knew; for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

⁴ Whose unbelieving minds the god of this world hath blinded, lest the illumination of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them. ⁵ For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. ⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to inlighten us with the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹³ Looking for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God, even our Saviour Jesus Christ.

³ Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and sustaining all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high,

¹¹ saying, Worthy art thou, O Lord our God, to receive the glory, and the honour, and the power, for thou hast created all things, and through thy will they are, and were created.

¹² Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive the power, and the riches, and the wisdom, ¹³ and the strength, and the honour, and the glory, and the blessing. And every creature which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that are in them, I heard them all saying, To him that sitteth on the throne, and to the Lamb, is the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the power, for ever and ever.
