¹³ Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his beloved Son,

¹⁷ And lo a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight.

²⁹ How can one enter into the strong one's house, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong one? ³⁰ And then he will plunder his house. He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.

⁵ While he yet spake, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight: hear ye him.

³⁴ Then shall the king say to them on his right-hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you, from the foundation of the world.

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

²⁴ And he said to him, Strive to enter in thro' the strait gate; for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

⁵³ When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched not forth your hands against me: but this is your hour and the power of darkness.

³⁵ The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

²⁴ Verily, verily I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and cometh not into condemnation, but is passed from death to life.

³¹ Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. ³² And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to me.

²⁴ Father, I will that these also whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

¹⁸ and the Gentiles, to whom I now send thee, To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God; that they may receive through faith which is in me, forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among them that are sanctified.

¹⁷ But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were the servants of sin, ye have now obeyed from the heart the form of doctrine into which ye have been delivered. ¹⁸ Being then set free from sin, ye are become the servants of righteousness. ¹⁹ I speak as a man, because of the weakness of your flesh. As ye have presented your members servants to uncleanness and iniquity, unto iniquity, so now present your members servants of righteousness, unto holiness. ²⁰ For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. ²¹ What fruit had ye then from those things whereof ye are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. ²² But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

⁹ Know ye not, that the unjust shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor the effeminate, ¹⁰ nor sodomites, Nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor revilers, nor the rapacious shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

²³ But every one in his own order: Christ the first-fruit, afterward they who are Christ's, at his coming. ²⁴ Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power. ²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

⁴ Whose unbelieving minds the god of this world hath blinded, lest the illumination of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them.

¹⁷ Therefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, and touch not the unclean person, saith the Lord, and I will receive you, ¹⁸ And will be to you a Father, and ye shall be to me sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

⁶ To the praise of the glory of his grace,

³ in the desires of the flesh, doing the will of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the others. ⁴ But God who is rich in mercy, ⁵ through his great love wherewith he loved us, Hath quickened us together with Christ, even when we were dead in trespasses, (by grace ye are saved) And hath raised us up together, ⁶ and made us sit together in heavenly places through Christ Jesus: ⁷ That he might shew in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. ⁸ For by grace ye are saved through faith; and this not of yourselves: ⁹ it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. ¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created through Christ Jesus unto good works, which God had before prepared, that we might walk in them.

¹⁸ Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, by the ignorance that is in them, through the hardness of their hearts:

⁸ For ye were once darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord:

¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world, of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.

¹² as a father his own children, And charged you to walk worthy of God, who hath called you to his kingdom and glory.

³ For we also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, inslaved to various desires and pleasures, living in wickedness and envy, hateful, hating one another: ⁴ But when the kindness and philanthropy of God our Saviour appeared, ⁵ Not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. ⁶ Which he poured forth richly upon us,

¹⁴ Since then the children partake of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner took part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil:

⁹ But ye are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a purchased people, that ye may shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Who in time past were not a people, but now are the people of God;

¹¹ For so an entrance shall be ministered to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

⁸ Again, I do write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you: for the darkness is past away, and the true light now shineth.

⁸ He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning: to this end the son of God was manifested, to destroy the works of the devil.

¹⁴ We know, that we are passed from death to life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
