⁸ Philip saith to him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

⁸ Happy are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.

⁴³ The day following he was minded to depart into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith to him, Follow me. ⁴⁴ Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. ⁴⁵ Philip findeth Nathanael and saith to him, We have found him, whom Moses in the law and the prophets described, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. ⁴⁶ And Nathanael saith to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith to him, Come and see.

⁵ Jesus then lifting up his eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming to him, saith to Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? ⁶ (But this he said, trying him; for he himself knew what he intended to do.) ⁷ Philip answered him, Two hundred penny-worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that each of them may take a little.
