⁵ But they were the more violent saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching through all Judea, beginning from Galilee, to this place.

¹² But when Jesus heard, that John was cast into prison, he retired into Galilee. ¹³ And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt at Capernaum, which is on the sea coast, in the borders of Zebulon and Naphthali: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, ¹⁴ saying, The land of Zebulon and the land of Naphthali, ¹⁵ by the way of the sea, ¹⁶ beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, The people who walked in darkness, saw a great light, and to them who sat in the region of the shadow of death, light is sprung up.

²³ And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease, and all manner of malady among the people.

²⁴ But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. Then Pilate, seeing, that he could prevail nothing, but rather a tumult was made, took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just man: see ye to it.

¹⁴ Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

¹⁴ And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and there went out a fame of him, thro' all the region round about. ¹⁵ And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

⁵³ And as he said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began fiercely to fasten upon him, and to urge him to speak of many things,

²³ But they insisted with loud voices, requiring that he should be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

⁴³ The day following he was minded to depart into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith to him, Follow me.

¹¹ Jesus wrought this beginning of miracles in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory, and his disciples believed on him.

⁴¹ Others said, This is the Christ.

⁵² They answered and said to him, Art thou also a Galilean?

¹⁵ But they cried out, Away with him, away with him. Pilate saith to them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cesar.

³³ When they heard this, they gnashed their teeth, and took counsel to slay them.

⁵⁴ And hearing these things, they were cut to the heart, and gnashed their teeth upon him.

⁵⁷ Then they cried with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed upon him with one accord,

³⁷ Ye know the word which was published through all Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached:

¹⁰ And as a great disturbance arose, the tribune fearing lest Paul should be torn in pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and take him by force from among them, and bring him into the castle.
