² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

³⁴ A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. ³⁵ For by this shall all know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

¹⁷ These things I command you, Love one another.

⁵ But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

²² And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. ²³ And this is his commandment, that we believe on the name of Jesus Christ himself, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. ²⁴ And he that keepeth his commandments, dwelleth in him, and he in him: and hereby we know that he abideth in us,by the spirit which he hath given us.

²¹ And this commandment have we from God, that he who loveth God, love his brother also.
