¹ PAUL an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, according to the promise of life, which is in Christ Jesus; ² To Timothy [my] dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, peace from Go the Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord. ³ I thank my God, whom I serve from [my] forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day: ⁴ Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy: ⁵ When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. ⁶ Wherefore I put thee in remembrance, that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. ⁷ For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. ⁸ Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; ⁹ Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus, before the world began, ¹⁰ But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light, through the gospel: ¹¹ Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. ¹² For the which cause I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. ¹³ Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁴ That good thing which was committed unto thee, keep, by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us. ¹⁵ This thou knowest, that all they who are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. ¹⁶ The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain. ¹⁷ But when he was in Rome, he sought me out diligently, and found [me]. ¹⁸ The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of God in that day: And in how many things he ministred unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life.

³⁹ Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testifie of me. ⁴⁰ And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life eternal.

⁴⁰ For this is the will of my Father that sent me, that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

⁵⁴ Whoso eateth his flesh, and drinketh his blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

²⁸ And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any one pluck them out of my hand.

³ And this is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent into this world.

¹ PAUL a servant of Jesus Christ, the called apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

²¹ That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord.

²³ For the wages of sin [is] death: but the gift of God [is] eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹ PAUL an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, and Timothy a brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

²⁰ For all the promises of God in him [are] yes, and in him amen, unto the glory of God by us.

⁶ That the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs; and of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ, by the gospel:

¹⁹ To lay up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on that life which is real.

² In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before eternal ages;

¹⁵ And for this cause he is the Mediator of the new covenant, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions tht were under the first covenant, they who are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

³ According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us by his own glory and virtue : ⁴ Whereby are given unto you exceeding great and precious promises; that by these you might be partakers of a divine nature, having escaped the Corruption that is in the world through lust.

²⁵ And this is the promise that he hath promised us, eternal life.

¹¹ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life: and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son, hath life; he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life. ¹³ These things have I written unto you that ye may know that you who believe on the name of the Son of God have eternal life; and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

¹ But when he had passed over these nations he came to Derbe and Lystra: and behold a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a woman who was a Jewess, and believed; but his father a Greek:

⁷ To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, the called saints: Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁹ Dearly beloved, avenge not your selves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine, I will repay, saith the Lord.

¹ Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, [my] dearly beloved.

² Unto Timothy, [my] own son in the faith: grace, mercy, peace from God the Father, and Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹ My son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

³⁷ And she [was] a widow of eighty and four years old: who departed not from the temple, serving with fastings and prayers night and day.

³ I am a man who am a Jew, born in Tarsus, of Cilicia, but brought up in this city, at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, being zealous towards God, as ye all are this day.

¹ And Paul earnestly beholding the council, said, Men, brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God, until this day.

¹⁴ But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call an heresy, so worship I my Father, and my God; believing all things which are written in the law and the prophets:

¹⁶ And herein do I exercise my self to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

⁴ My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews.

²³ For there stood by me this night, the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing, I make mention of you always in my prayers,

¹ I say the truth in Christ Jesus, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

¹² For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-wards.

¹⁴ And profited in the Jews religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

¹⁶ I will not cease to give thanks for you, making mention in my prayers;

² We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, ³ Remembring without ceasing the work of your faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God, and our Father:

¹⁰ Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

⁵ Now the end of the commandment is charity, out of a pure heart, and a good conscience, and faith unfeigned:

¹⁹ Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away, concerning faith have made shipwreck.

⁵ When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

¹⁵ And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

⁸ Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever: Amen.

²² And ye now therefore shall have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one taketh from you.

²⁴ Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

¹⁹ Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with tears, and temptations which befel me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

³¹ Therefore watch, and remember that for three years night and day I ceased not to warn every one of you with tears.

³⁷ And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him, ³⁸ Sorrowing most of all for the word which he spake, [that] they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.

¹¹ For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end you may be established:

³⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; ³¹ And I may be de- livered from them that do not believe in Judea; and that my present for Jerusalem, may be accepted of the saints: ³² That I may come unto you with joy by the will of Christ Jesus, and may with you be refreshed.

⁸ For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all, in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

²⁶ For he longed to see you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.

¹⁷ But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time, in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.

⁹ Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me.

²¹ Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

⁴ And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

¹⁷ For the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne, shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

⁴ And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; the former things are passed away.

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathaniel coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile.

²⁶ For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him: Nor was this thing done in a comer.

²¹ And being fully persuaded, that what he had promised he was able also to perform.

³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angel, nor authority, nor principality, nor power, nor things present, nor things to come,

⁵ One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

¹⁴ I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of it self: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him [it is] unclean.

¹⁴ And I my self also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye are full of goodness, and filled with all knowledge, able to admonish one another.

⁶ In purity, in knowledge, in long-suffering, in kindness, in the Holy Ghost, in love unfeigned,

⁶ If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith, and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

¹² For the which cause I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

⁹ But beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though, we thus speak.

¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners and pilgrims on the earth.

²² Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth, unto unfeigned love of the brethren; love one another with the heart fervently:

¹⁵ And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to every one according to his ability, and straightway took his journey. ¹⁶ Then he that had received the five talents, went and traded with them and gained other five talents. ¹⁷ And likewise he that had received the two talents, he also gained other two. ¹⁸ But he that had received one, digged in the earth and hid his lords money: ¹⁹ After a long time, the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. ²⁰ And so he that had received five talents, came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained besides them five talents more. ²¹ His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant; because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. ²² He also that had received two talents, came and said Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents. ²³ His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. ²⁴ Then he who had received the one talent, came and said, Lord, I knew that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering from whence thou hast not strawed: ²⁵ And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth, lo, there thou hast thy [talent]. ²⁶ His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and sloathful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: ²⁷ Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. ²⁸ Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him who hath the five talents. ²⁹ For unto him that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but of him that hath not shall be taken away, even that which he hath. ³⁰ And cast ye forth the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

¹³ And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Trade till I come.

¹⁷ Then laid they hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. ¹⁸ And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles hands, the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money.

⁶ And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost presently fell on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

⁶ Having then gifts, differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, according to the analogy of the faith. ⁷ Or ministry, on ministring; or he that teacheth, on teaching; ⁸ He that exhorteth on exhortation: he that giveth, with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

¹⁹ Quench not the Spirit.

¹⁴ Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by Prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

¹⁴ Of these things put [them] in remembrance, charging [them] before the Lord, that they strive not about words, to no profit, to the subverting of the hearers.

² Preach the word, be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.

² Of the doctrine of baptisms; and of laying on of hands; of resurrection of the dead; and of eternal judgment.

¹⁰ As every man hath received the gift, minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. ¹¹ If any man speak, as the oracles of God; if any man minister, as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹² Wherefore I will be ready to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

¹ This second epistle, Beloved, I now write unto you, in [both] which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

⁵ I will therefore put you in remembrance, who once knew all things, how that Jesus having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

³⁵ But when they went out of the city and saw what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the daemoniack, sitting at the feet of Jesus, in his right mind and clothed; they were afraid.

¹⁹ Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents, and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy;and nothing shall hurt you,

¹⁷ And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my fathers have bread more than enough, and I here perish with hunger!

⁴⁹ And behold I send the promise upon you; but tarry ye in the city until ye be endued with power from on high.

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

⁸ But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

⁸ And Stephen full of grace and power, did great wonders and miracles by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

²² But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.

³⁸ Jesus of Nazareth; whom God anointed with the Holy Ghost, and with power: He went about doing good, and healing all that were brought into subjection by the devil: for God was with him.

²⁴ But this I do not value, neither count I my life dear unto my self, so that I may finish my course, and the ministry of the word, which word I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify to Jews and Gentiles the gospel of the grace of God.

¹³ Then Paul said unto us; What mean ye to weep, and to disturb mine heart? for I am not only willing to be bound, but also am ready to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹¹ And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled [them] to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted [them] even unto strange cities.

²⁵ But Paul said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

⁵ And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.

¹⁵ For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

⁴ And my speech, and my preaching [was] not with enticing words of wisdom, but in the revelation of the Spirit, and of power:

¹³ For whether we be besides our selves, [it is] for God: or whether we be sober, [it is] for your cause. ¹⁴ For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judge, that [if] one died for all, then were all dead;

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

⁸ Who also hath declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

¹⁵ And deliver them who through fear of death, were all their life time subject to bondage.

¹⁸ There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment: he that feareth, is not made perfect in love.

³⁸ But Whosoever shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in the glory of his Father, with the holy angels.

²⁶ For whosoever shall be ashamed of me, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Fathers, and of the holy angels.

²⁷ And bear ye witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

³⁵ And he that saw [it], bear record, and his record is true: and he knoweth [Read: we know, as 21:24] that he saith true, that ye also might believe.

⁴¹ The apostles therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for [his] name.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the Gospel: for it is the Power of God unto salvation, to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek,

¹⁷ And if children, then fellow heirs; heirs of God, and fellow heirs with Christ: if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together. ¹⁸ For I reckon, that the sufferings of this present time, [are] not comparable to the glory which shall be revealed in us.

³⁶ As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

³³ As it is written, Behold I lay in Sion a stumbling stone, and rock of scandal, and he that believeth on him, shall not be ashamed.

²⁵ Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

⁶ Even as the Testimony of Christ was confirmed in you.

⁹ For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death. For we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. ¹⁰ We [are] fools for Christ's sake, but ye [are] wise in Christ: we weak, but ye strong: ye honourable, but we despised. ¹¹ Even unto this present hour, we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling-place; ¹² And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless: being persecuted, we suffer it: ¹³ Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, the off-scouring of all things unto this day.

⁷ In the word of truth, in the power of God, in the armour of righteousness, on the right hand, and on the left,

²³ Are they ministers of Christ? I speak as a fool, I [am] more: in labours more abundant, in prisons more frequent, in stripes above measure, in deaths oft. ²⁴ Of the Jews five times received I forty [stripes] save one. ²⁵ Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck; a night and a day I have been in the deep: ²⁶ In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; ²⁷ In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

¹ For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ, am an ambassador for you Gentiles;

¹³ Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

¹ I therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you, that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as the Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

⁷ Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace,

¹⁰ That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his suffering, being made conformable unto his death;

¹³ I can do all things through Christ who strengthneth me.

¹¹ Strengthened with all might according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness;

²⁴ Who now rejoice in sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh, for his body's sake, who is the church:

⁴ For verily when we were with you, we told you before, that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

⁶ Who gave himself a ransom for all; whose testimony was given in his own times.

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain.

³ Thou therefore endure hardness with [them], as a good fellow-soldier of Jesus Christ.

⁹ Wherein I suffer trouble as an evil-doer, unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

¹¹ [It is] a faithful saying. For if we be dead with [him], we shall also live with [him]: ¹² If we suffer, we shall also reign with [him]: if we deny [him], he also will deny us;

⁵ But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

¹⁷ Notwithstanding, the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

⁵ Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹³ But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. ¹⁴ If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy [are ye]; for the spirit of glory and power, and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. ¹⁵ But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or [as] a thief, or [as] an evil doer, or as an overseer in other mens matters.

¹⁴ And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father sent the Son, the Saviour of the World.

¹¹ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life: and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son, hath life; he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life.

²⁴ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

² Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, [and of] all things that he saw.

⁹ I John, who am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience in Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, [for] the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus

¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him: And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not; I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

²¹ And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid there things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes, ²⁶ Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight.

²¹ But in that hour he rejoyced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so Father, for so was thy good pleasure.

³⁷ All that the Father giveth me, will come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast away.

²⁸ And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any one pluck them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father who gave [them] me, is greater than all: and none is able to pluck [them] out of my Fathers hand.

⁹ I ask for them: I ask not for the world; but for them whom thou hast given me, for they are thine.

²⁴ Father, I will that what thou hast given me, they many be with me where I am, that they may behold the glory which thou has given me, for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

⁴⁷ Praising God, and having favour with all the world. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

¹⁸ Known unto the Lord is his work from the beginning of the world.

²⁰ Therefore by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are called according to [his] purpose. ²⁹ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethren. ³⁰ Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. ³¹ What shall we then say to there things? if God [be] for us, who is against us? ³² He that did not so much as spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? ³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth: ³⁴ Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather that is risen again; who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? tribulation, or distress, persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ³⁶ As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. ³⁷ Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors on account of him that loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angel, nor authority, nor principality, nor power, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹¹ For [the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth.

²⁴ Even us whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles.

⁵ Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. ⁶ And if by grace, then [is it] no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.

¹⁸ For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness: but unto us who are saved, it is the power of God.

²¹ Therefore let no man glory in men: for all things are yours: ²² Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things in Christ: ⁴ According as he hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy, and without blame before him in love:

⁹ Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to the good pleasure, which he hath purposed in himself:

¹¹ In whom also we have been called; being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickned us together with Christ, by whose grace ye are saved.

⁸ For by his grace are we saved, through faith and that not of our selves; [it is] the gift of God: ⁹ Not of works, lest any man should boast;

¹¹ According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

⁷ For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren, beloved of God; because God hath from the beginning chosen us to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth: ¹⁴ Whereunto he called you by our gospel to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹ PAUL an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Jesus Christ, [who is] our hope;

⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, ⁵ Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Ghost;

¹ Wherefore, Holy Brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and high priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

¹⁵ But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; ¹⁶ Because it is written, Ye shall be holy, for I am holy.

²⁰ Who verily was fore-ordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in this last of times for us;

⁹ But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

²⁰ For what glory [is it],if when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if when ye do well, and suffer, ye take it patiently; for this [is] acceptable with God. ²¹ For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps:

⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose name is [not] written in the book of life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world.

⁸ The wild beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the abyss, and goes into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and shall come,

¹¹ For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Saviour, Who is Christ the Lord.

³¹ Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people: ³² A light for a revelation [to the Gentiles] and the glory of thy people Israel.

³⁶ --

⁷ And he said unto the dresser of his vineyard, behold, these three years, It is now that I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: Bring the Ax; cut it down, why cumbreth it the ground?

⁹ He was the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

⁴² And said unto the woman, We do not know believe because of thy testimony; for we have heard him our selves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life. ²⁵ Verily verily I say unto you, That the hour cometh and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live. ²⁶ For as the living Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself: ²⁷ And hath given him authority to execute judgement, because he is the Son of man. ²⁸ Marvel not at this; for the hour cometh in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice. ²⁹ And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that do evil, unto the resurrection of condemnation.

⁴⁰ And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life eternal.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; ²⁶ And whosoever liveth, and believeth on me, shall never die. Believest thou this?

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

³¹ But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that believing ye might have eternal life in his name.

³¹ Him hath God exalted in glory, a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins in him.

²³ God therefore from his seed hath, according to [his] promise, raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

⁷ To them who by patient continuance in well-doing, seek for glory, and honour, and immortality; eternal life:

³¹ Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

¹⁷ For if by one offence, death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ Therefore as by one offence [it came] upon all men to condemnation: even so by one righteousness [it came] upon all men unto justification of life.

⁶ Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

²⁶ But now is made manifest, by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.

⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come; who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall every one have praise of God.

²⁶ For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under [him, it is] manifest that he is excepted who did put all things under him.

⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal put on immortality. ⁵⁴ So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. ⁵⁵ O death, where [is] thy sting? O death, where [is] thy victory?

⁴ For we that are in this tabernacle do grone, being burdened: inasmuch as we would not be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality may be swallowed up of life.

⁴ Christ is become of no effect unto you; whosoever of you are justified by the law, ye are fallen from grace.

¹⁸ The eyes of your heart being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

²⁶ The mystery which hath been hid from ages, and from generations, but now made manifest to his saints: ²⁷ To whom God would make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

⁸ And then shall that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

¹ PAUL an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, according to the promise of life, which is in Christ Jesus;

³ But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me, according to the commandment of God our Saviour: ⁴ To Titus [mine] own son after the common faith; Grace and peace from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus our Saviour.

¹¹ For the grace of God that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men:

¹³ Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children were partakers of blood and flesh, he also himself likewise took part of the same sufferings: that thro death he might destroy [death] that hath the power of death, that is, the devil; ¹⁵ And deliver them who through fear of death, were all their life time subject to bondage.

³² But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions:

²⁰ Who verily was fore-ordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in this last of times for us; ²¹ Who by him are faithful unto God that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.

¹ SYMEON Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us, through the righteousness of God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

³ According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us by his own glory and virtue :

¹¹ For so an entrance shall be ministred unto you abundantly, into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

²⁰ For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome; the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

² That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

¹⁸ But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: to him [be] glory, both now and for ever. Amen.

² For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you also that eternal life which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.

⁷ He that hath an ear, let him hear, what the Spirit saith unto the seven churches, To him that overcometh wilt I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

¹ After these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightned with his glory.

¹⁴ And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire: This is the second death, the lake of fire.

¹ And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lamb. ² In the midst of the street of it, and on this side and on that side of the river, the tree of life, which bare twelve fruits, yielding her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations.

¹⁴ Blessed [are] they that wash their garments, that they may have power over the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth, say, Come. Let him that is athirst, come: And he that will, let him take the water of life freely.

¹⁵ But the Lord said unto him, Go: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel.

⁷ Whereof I have been made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me, by the effectual working of his power. ⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

⁷ Desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

⁷ Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, I speak the truth, I lie not, a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

²² Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out dæmons? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

²¹ And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

³⁶ But of that day and hour knoweth no one, no, not the Angels of the heavens, neither the Son, but the Father only.

¹² But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable for Sodom in the kingdom of God than for that city,

⁴⁶ But the sun was darkned, and the vail of the temple was rent.

³⁹ And this is the will of him that sent me, that of all which he hath given me, I should lose nothing, but that I should raise it up again at the last day. ⁴⁰ For this is the will of my Father that sent me, that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

⁴⁴ No one can come to me, except the father who hast sent me, draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

²⁸ And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any one pluck them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father who gave [them] me, is greater than all: and none is able to pluck [them] out of my Fathers hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one.

¹¹ And I am no longer in this world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. I am no longer in the world, and I am in the world: Holy Father, keep them in thy name. ¹² What thou gavest me, that they they may be one as we are. While I was with them, I kept them in thy name. Those that thou gavest me I have kept: And none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

¹⁵ I ask not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil one.

⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen, invocating and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

¹⁶ For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

⁴⁶ But Paul and Barnabas waxed bold,and said unto them, The word of God was to be first spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge your selves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

⁵⁰ But the Jews stirred up the devout honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised affliction and persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled then out of their coasts.

⁵ And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and of the Jews, with their rulers, to use [them] despitefully, and to stone them, ⁶ They were ware of [it], and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the whole region that lieth round about:

²⁷ But when the seventh day was fulfilled, the Jews who were of Asia, came, when they saw him in the temple, [and] stirred up the whole multitude and laid hands on him, ²⁸ Crying out, Men of Israel, help: this is the man that teacheth all every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and hath brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place. ²⁹ For they had seen before with him in the city, Trophimus an Ephesian, whom we (read: they) supposed that Paul had brought into the temple. ³⁰ And the whole city was moved, and there was a concourse of the people; and they seiz'd upon Paul, and drew [him] out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut. ³¹ But as they sought to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uprore.

²¹ And he said unto me, Depart: for I send thee far unto the Gentiles. ²² And they hearkened as far as this word, and lift up their voice, and said, Take away such an one from the earth: for it is not fit he should live. ²³ And as they cried out, and cast off [their] cloaths, and threw dust to heaven, ²⁴ The chief captain commanded him to be brought into the castle, and bade that he should be examined by stripes; that he might know wherefore they cried so against him.

⁴ And patience, experience; and experience, hope: ⁵ And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.

¹² And again Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. ¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace; that ye may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.

¹³ He that doeth this work shall be made manifest. For the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work, of what sort it is.

¹² That we should be to the praise of [his] glory, who first hoped in Christ. ¹³ In whom ye also did so, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

¹ For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ, am an ambassador for you Gentiles; ² If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God, which is given me to you-ward: ³ How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery, as I wrote afore in few words, ⁴ Whereby when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ. ⁵ Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Holy Spirit; ⁶ That the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs; and of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ, by the gospel:

²⁰ According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

⁸ Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss, for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung that I may win Christ,

²¹ Who shall change our vile body, [to be] like unto his glorious body; according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

¹⁶ Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles, that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath of God is come upon them to the uttermost.

⁴ But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

²⁰ O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane vain bablings, and oppositions of science falsly so called:

⁸ Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

¹⁸ The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of God in that day: And in how many things he ministred unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

¹⁰ But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, charity, patience, ¹¹ Persecutions, afflictions which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconiun, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all God delivered me. ¹² Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus, will suffer persecution.

⁸ Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto them also that love his appearing.

¹⁶ At my first Apology no man stod with me, but all men forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge. ¹⁷ Notwithstanding, the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

¹⁸ For in that he himself hath suffered, being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

²⁵ Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost, that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

² Looking unto Jesus theauthor and finisher of the faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹⁶ Yet if [it be] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this name.

¹⁹ Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit the keeping of their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.

²⁰ An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, who hast the form of knowledge, and of the truth in the law.

¹⁷ But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin: but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which ye were delivered.

²⁷ Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel;

⁹ Those things which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

⁴ Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saits;

²¹ Prove all things: hold fast that which is good.

¹⁰ For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for men-stealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,

¹⁴ But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith, and love which is in Christ Jesus.

³ If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholsome words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

¹⁴ That good thing which was committed unto thee, keep, by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

² And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

¹⁴ But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned, and hast been assured of; knowing of whom thou hast learned;

⁹ Holding fast the faithful word, as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine, both to exhort and to convince the gain-sayers.

¹ But speak thou the things which bcome sound doctrine:

⁸ Sound Speech that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part, may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.

⁶ But Christ as a Son over his own house: which house are we, if we hold fast the confidence, and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession.

²³ Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for he [is] faithful that promised:

³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you, that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

²⁵ But that which ye have; hold fast till I come.

³ Remember therefore how thou hast received, and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

¹¹ I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

¹¹ If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true?

¹⁷ The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him, for he abideth with you, and is in you.

² Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

⁹ But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now is any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

¹¹ But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead, dwell in you; he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead, shall also quicken your mortal bodies, by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

¹³ For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but is ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the flesh, ye shall live.

¹⁶ Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

¹⁹ What, know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

¹⁷ For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation is committed unto me.

¹⁶ Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we [him] no more after the flesh.

¹⁹ To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of the gospel of reconciliation. ²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech by us: we pray in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled unto God.

⁷ But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as that of the circumcision was unto Peter;

²² In whom you also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

¹⁸ And be not drunken with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit:

¹¹ And Jesus, who is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, who have been a comfort unto me.

¹¹ Which is according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, that was committed to my trust.

⁶ And they passed through Phrygia, and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to speak the word of God to any in Asia.

¹⁰ And this was for two years; [And] all they which dwelt in Asia, heard the words of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

²⁷ So that not only this part of our trade is in danger to be under reproach, but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be set at nought, and destroyed, whom all Asia, and the world worshippeth.

³¹ And certain of the Asiarchs, who were his friends, sent unto him, [and] besought [him] that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.

¹⁶ For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, lest somewhat should detain him in Asia: for he hasted to be at Jerusalem against the day of Pentecost.

¹⁹ The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house, with whom also I sojourn.

²¹ For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.

¹⁰ For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica: Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. ¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

¹⁶ At my first Apology no man stod with me, but all men forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge.

⁷ Blessed [are] the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

⁴¹ He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophets reward. ⁴² And whosoever shall give to drink to one o the least of these, a cup of cold water, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, his reward shall not be lost.

³⁵ For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in: ³⁶ Naked; and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. ³⁷ Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thisty, and gave [thee] drink? ³⁸ When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? and naked, and clothed [thee]? ³⁹ Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? ⁴⁰ And the King shall answer, and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

²⁰ For this cause therefore have I called foryou, to see and to speak with [you]: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.

¹⁸ For they have refreshed both my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.

¹² For the administration of this service, not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; ¹³ Whiles by the experiment of this ministration, they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men. ¹⁴ And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.

²⁰ For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

¹⁹ Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.

⁷ For we have had great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, Brother.

²⁰ Yea, Brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

¹⁰ For God [is] not unrighteous, to forget your work of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministred to the saints, and do minister.

³⁴ For ye had compassion of those in bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in your selves that ye have a better and an enduring substance.

³⁰ But Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, ³¹ Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

³⁴ Than shall the king say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the World.

⁷² To perform the mercy to our fathers, to remember his holy covenant;

⁷⁸ Through the bowels of the mercy of our God;whereby the day-spring from on high hath visited us,

³ And Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herods steward, and Susanna, and many others, who also ministred unto them of their substance.

¹ But when Paul was desirous according to his own will, to go to Jerusalem, the spirit said to him that he should return into Asia, but having passed through the upper parts he comes to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

²³ For all have sinned; and come short of the glory of God; ²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ:

¹⁵ For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. ¹⁶ So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. ¹⁷ For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. ¹⁸ Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will, and whom he will, he hardneth. ¹⁹ Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he therefore find fault? For who hath resisted his will? ²⁰ O man, who art thou that repliest against God? shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou formed me thus? ²¹ Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? ²² [What] if God, willing to shew [his] wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: ²³ And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory?

⁸ But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

¹ For as touching the ministring to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you.

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for the great love wherewith he loved us,

¹⁹ For what [is] our hope, or joy, or cron of rejoicing? [are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus, at his coming?

³ As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

¹² And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

¹⁰ Of which salvation the prophets have enquired, and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace unto you:

¹ Unto the angel of the church, who is at Ephesus, write, These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
