¹ Children, obey your parents: for this is right. ² Honour thy father and mother, which is the first commandment, with promise, ³ That it may be well with thee, and thou mayst live long on the earth. ⁴ And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. ⁵ Servants, be obedient to them that are masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart; as unto Christ: ⁶ Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; ⁷ With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: ⁸ Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether bond or free. ⁹ And ye masters do the same things unto them, forbearing threatning: knowing that their and your master also is in heaven, neither is there respect of persons with God. ¹⁰ Finally, Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. ¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹² For ye wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. ¹³ Wherefore, take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day; and having done all, ¹⁴ Stand, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; ¹⁵ And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ¹⁶ Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye are able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. ¹⁷ And the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: ¹⁸ Praying always, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching unto him, always in supplication for all the saints; ¹⁹ And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel: ²⁰ For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. ²¹ But that ye also may know my affairs, how I do, Tychicus a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make them known to you: ²² Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. ²³ Peace [be] to the brethren, and love with faith from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. ²⁴ Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

⁵¹ And he went down with them, to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: And his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

¹² Wherefore the law [is] holy; and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

² And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of the mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

² That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of my self, and of many also.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my loved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

⁵ Servants, be obedient to them that are masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart; as unto Christ: ⁶ Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God. ¹⁷ Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

⁴ But if any widow have children or grandchildren, let them learn first to teach their own houses piety, and to requite their parents: for that is acceptable before God.

¹³ Submit your selves to every human creature for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

⁴ For God said, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. ⁵ But ye say, Whosoever shall say to father or mother, [It is] a gift by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me, ⁶ He shall not relieve his father or mother. Thus have ye made the word of God of none effect by your tradition.

⁹ And he said unto them, Well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may confirm your own tradition! ¹⁰ For Moses said Honour thy father and mother: and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death. ¹¹ But ye say, If a man shall say to his father, or mother, [It is] Corban, that is, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightst be profited by me; ¹² Ye suffer him not to do ought for his father or mother: ¹³ Making the word of God of none effect through your foolish tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

⁷ Render to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute, custom to whom custom, fear to whom fear, honour to whom honour.

²¹ Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

⁵ When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

¹⁵ And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

⁷ If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons: for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? ⁸ But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards and not sons. ⁹ Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh, who corrected us, and we gave [them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? ¹⁰ For they verily for a few days chastned us, after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

²² The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

²⁴ No one can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon:

⁹ For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and say to this [man], Go, and he goeth: and to another, Come, and he cometh: and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

⁴⁶ And they all continued in the temple, and from house to house, and breaking bread, partook of meat with gladness and singleness of heart.

⁷ And when the angel who spake unto him, was departed, he called two of his houshold-servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually: ⁸ And when he had declared all things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.

³ And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

²² For he that is called in the Lord, a servant, is the Lord's free-man: likewise also he that is called free, is Christ's servant.

¹² For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-wards.

¹⁵ And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling you received him.

² For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you a chaste virgin to Christ. ³ But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity and purity that is in Christ.

¹ PAUL an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, to the saints which are at [[Read] Laodicia.] Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: ² Grace [be] to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. ³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things in Christ: ⁴ According as he hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy, and without blame before him in love: ⁵ Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, ⁶ To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in his beloved Son. ⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ⁸ Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence, ⁹ Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to the good pleasure, which he hath purposed in himself: ¹⁰ That in the dispensation of the fulness of times, he would gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, in him: ¹¹ In whom also we have been called; being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: ¹² That we should be to the praise of [his] glory, who first hoped in Christ. ¹³ In whom ye also did so, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ Who is the earnest of our inheritance, until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. ¹⁵ Wherefore I also, after I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and love unto all the saints, ¹⁶ I will not cease to give thanks for you, making mention in my prayers; ¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the knowledge of him; ¹⁸ The eyes of your heart being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power towards you who believe, according to the working of his mighty power; ²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], ²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come: ²² And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him the head over all things to the church, ²³ Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

²² Wives, submit your selves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

²⁴ Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

¹ Let as many servants as are under te yoke, count their own masters worthy of all honour; that the name of the Lord, and the doctrine be not blasphemed. ² And they that have believing masters, let them not despise [them], because they are brethren: but rather do [them] service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. ³ If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholsome words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

⁹ Ye servants be obedient unto your own masters, please them well in all things; not answering again, ¹⁰ Neither purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

¹⁶ Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

¹⁸ Servants, [be] subject to masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. ¹⁹ For this [is] thank-worthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. ²⁰ For what glory [is it],if when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if when ye do well, and suffer, ye take it patiently; for this [is] acceptable with God. ²¹ For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps:

² While they behold your chaste conversation, with fear.

²¹ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens: but he that doeth the will of my father who is in the heavens, he shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

⁵⁰ For whosoever does the will of my Father who is in the heavens, the same is my brother, and father, and mother.

¹⁷ But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin: but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which ye were delivered.

¹⁰ For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

¹⁷ Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is].

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding:

²² Servants, obey in all things [your] masters according to the flesh; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord. ²³ And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you; always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect, and fully assured in all the will of Christ,

⁴ But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, who trieth our hearts.

³ For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

³⁶ For ye have need of patience; that after ye have done the will of God ye may receive the promise.

²¹ Make us perfect in every good work: that we may do his will; working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever: Amen.

¹⁵ For so is the will of God, that with well-doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

² That he no longer should live the rest of [his] time in the flesh, to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

¹⁷ And the world passeth away, and its lust: but he that doeth the will of God, abideth for ever.

³¹ Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

²³ And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

¹² Rejoyce, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.

¹ Take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father in the heavens.

⁴ That thine alms may be in secret: and thy father who seeth in scret, himself shall reward thee.

⁴¹ He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophets reward. ⁴² And whosoever shall give to drink to one o the least of these, a cup of cold water, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, his reward shall not be lost.

²⁷ For the Son of man will come in the glory of his Father, with his holy angels; and then he shall reward every one according to his practice.

³⁵ But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, desponding nothing: and your reward shall be great and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful, and the evil.

¹⁴ And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompence thee: for thou shalt be recompenced at the resurrection of the just.

⁶ Who will render to every man according to his deeds: ⁷ To them who by patient continuance in well-doing, seek for glory, and honour, and immortality; eternal life: ⁸ But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness; wrath and indignation; ⁹ Tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that doth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile. ¹⁰ Glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.

¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ, that every one may receive the things [done] by his body, what he hath done, whether good or bad.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

¹¹ Where there is neither male nor female, Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian and Scythian, bond and free: but Christ [is] all, and in all.

²⁴ Knowing, that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: ye serve the Lord Christ.

³⁵ Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

²⁶ Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

¹² Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

⁸ Then saith he to his servants, the marriage feast is ready, but they who were invited were not worthy.

¹⁰ So his Servants went out into the high-ways, and gathered together all those that they found, both bad and good: and the marriage feast was furnished with guests.

⁴⁸ But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delayeth to come.

⁵¹ And shall cut him in sunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

³¹ And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them.

⁴⁵ But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants, and maidens, both eating, and drinking, and being drunken: ⁴⁶ His lord will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

¹³ Ye call me Master, and Lord: and ye say well; for I am.

³⁴ But Peter opened [his] mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

¹¹ For there is no respect of persons with God.

² Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.

¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth; ¹¹ And that every tongue should confess, that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

⁸ If ye fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thy self, ye do well.

¹³ For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; [and] let mercy rejoice against judgment.

⁴ Behold the hire of the labourers, who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them who have reaped, are entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts.

¹³ Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

¹¹ Finally, brethren, farewell: be perfect, be of good comfort, be unanimous, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

¹⁹ And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power towards you who believe, according to the working of his mighty power;

¹⁶ That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might, by his Spirit in the inner man;

¹ Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed [is] not grievous, but for you [it is] safe.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things honest, whatsoever things just, whatsoever things pure, whatsoever things lovely, whatsoever things of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if any praise of knowledge think on these things.

¹³ I can do all things through Christ who strengthneth me.

¹¹ Strengthened with all might according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness;

¹ My son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ Notwithstanding, the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

⁸ Finally, [be ye] all unanimous, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, pitiful, humble:

¹⁰ But the God of all Grace, who hath called you unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, will make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].

²² For false prophets shall arise, and shall make signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, the elect.

²⁹ Lest perhaps after he hath laid the foundation, but is not able to build and finish [it,] all that behold [it], begin to mock him, and to say, ³⁰ This man began to build, and was not able to finish. ³¹ Or what king going to make war against another king, doth not presently sit down and consulteth first whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

¹² The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast away the works of darkness, but let us put on the armour of light.

¹⁴ But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, unto its lusts.

¹³ There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not leave you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

¹¹ Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine.

⁷ In the word of truth, in the power of God, in the armour of righteousness, on the right hand, and on the left,

⁴ For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

³ But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity and purity that is in Christ.

¹³ For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. ¹⁵ [It is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

¹⁴ That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the flight of men, the cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive:

²⁴ And that ye put on the new man, who after God is created in righteousness, and holiness, and truth.

¹³ Wherefore, take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day; and having done all,

¹⁰ And have put on the new one, which is renewed in knowledge, after the image of him that created him;

⁸ But let us who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breast-plate of faith, and love, and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

⁹ Whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and wonders of a lie. ¹⁰ And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness, in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth of Christ, that they might be saved. ¹¹ For this cause God sends them strong delusion, that they shall believe a lie:

²⁵ Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost, that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.

¹ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who privily will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction, ² And many will follow their filthiness, by reason of whom the glory of truth will be evil spoken of. ³ And through covetousness will they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their destruction slumbreth not.

²⁴ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

²⁴ Bat unto you I say, the rest in Thyatira, who have not this doctrine, who have not known the depths of satan, as they speak, I put upon you none other burden.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

¹¹ And I beheld another wild beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. ¹² And he exerciseth all the power of the first wild beast before him, and causeth the earth, and them who dwell therein, to worship the first wild beast, whose deadly wound was healed. ¹³ And he doeth great wonders, sothat he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth, in the fight of men, ¹⁴ And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth, by those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the wild beast, saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the wild beast who had the wound by a sword, and did live. ¹⁵ And he had power to give life unto the image of the wild beast, that the image of the wild beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the wild beast, should be killed.

²⁰ And the wild beast was taken, and those with him, the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the wild beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

² And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. ³ And cast him into the abyss, and shut [him] up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: after that he must be loosed a little season.

⁷ And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison. ⁸ And shall go out to deceive the nations, which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of them, as the sand of the sea.

¹⁷ But Jesus answered and said, Blessed are thou Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father who is in the heavens.

²⁴ Strive to enter in at the strait door: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not find it.

⁵³ When I was dayly with you in the temple, ye stretched not out hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

³¹ Now is the judgment of the world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

³⁰ Hereafter I will not talk many things to you: for the prince of the world cometh, and hath nothing to find in me.

¹¹ And of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn [them] from darkness to light, and[from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me.

³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angel, nor authority, nor principality, nor power, nor things present, nor things to come,

²⁵ And every one that striveth for the mastery, is temperate in all things: Now, they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. ²⁶ I therefore so run, not as uncertainly: so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: ²⁷ But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means when I have preached to others, I my self should be a castaway.

⁵⁰ For this I say, Brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither shall corruption inherit incorruption.

¹⁶ To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things in Christ:

²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come:

² Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

¹⁰ To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places], might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

¹³ Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son:

¹⁵ And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

⁵ And if a man also strive for masteries, he is not crowned except he strive lawfully.

¹ Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race which is set before us,

⁴ For ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

²² Who isgone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God, angels, and authorities, and powers, being made subject unto him.

¹³ They on the rock, when they hear, receive the word with joy;these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

³⁶ But Watch ye and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and ye shall stand before the Son of man.

⁶ Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

¹⁶ Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹² For ye wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. ¹³ Wherefore, take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day; and having done all, ¹⁴ Stand, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; ¹⁵ And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ¹⁶ Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye are able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. ¹⁷ And the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

¹⁰ And thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

¹⁷ For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

³⁵ Let your loyn be girded about, and lights burning;

⁹ For the fruit of the light [is] in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth.

¹³ Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end, for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

⁹ And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

¹⁷ And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinct, and bimstone: and the heads of the horses as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire, and smoke, and brimstone.

²² But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put [it] on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.

¹⁵ And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

¹⁸ And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of the gospel of reconciliation. ²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech by us: we pray in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled unto God. ²¹ He hath made him sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

²⁴ Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.

¹⁶ For which cause we faint not, but though our outward man perish, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. ¹⁷ For our light and short affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding eternal weight of glory; ¹⁸ While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen, [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen, eternal.

¹⁹ Quench not the Spirit.

¹⁷ Wherein God willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed [it] by an oath: ¹⁸ That with two immutable things, in which [it was] impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

²⁴ By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; ²⁵ Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; ²⁶ Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. ²⁷ By saith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. ²⁸ Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the first-born, should touch them. ²⁹ By faith they passed through the Red-sea, as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do, were drowned. ³⁰ By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. ³¹ By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. ³² And what shall I say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and [of] Barak, and [of] Samson, and [of] Jephthae, [of] David also and Samuel, and [of] the prophets: ³³ Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, ³⁴ Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour. ⁹ Whom resist stedfast in the faith; knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the World.

⁴ For whatsoever is born of God, overcometh the world; and this s the victory that overcometh the world, our faith. ⁵ Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

⁴ But Jesus answered an said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

⁷ Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

¹⁰ Then said Jesus unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only thou shalt serve. ¹¹ Then the devil leaveth him, and behold angels came and ministred unto him. ¹² For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart:

⁵ And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, [My] son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him. ⁶ For whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

⁵ [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [Be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. ⁶ So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

¹⁶ And in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance as the sun shineth in his strength.

¹⁶ Repent therefore; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the wine-press of the fierceness of the wrath of almighty God

²⁵ Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. ²⁶ But he answered and said, it is not lawful to take the childrens bread, and to cast it to dogs. ²⁷ And she said, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters table. ²⁸ Then he answered and said unto her, Woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt: And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

⁴¹ Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.

³³ Take ye heed therefore, watch: for ye know not when the time [is].

³⁸ Watch ye and pray; that ye enter not into temptation, the spirit truly [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.

⁵ And he said, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves. ⁶ For a friend in his journey is come from the field to me, and I have nothing to set before him. ⁷ But he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not; the door it already shut, and my children are with me in bed, I cannot rise and give thee. ⁸ I say unto you, He will not rise and give him, because he is his friend: yet because of his importunity, he will rise and give [him] whatsoever he needeth.

¹ He spake also a parable unto them, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; ² There was in a certain city a certain judge, who feared not God, neither regarded man. ³ And there was a widow in that city, and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. ⁴ And he would not for a certain time: but afterward he came to himself, and saith, Though I fear not God, and regard not man, ⁵ Yet because this widow causeth me trouble, I will go away and avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. ⁶ And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith, ⁷ And, shall not God avenge his own elect, while they cry day and night unto him, and he compassionates them? ⁸ I tell you, He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

⁴⁶ And said unto them, sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

¹⁴ These all continued with one accord in prayer, with the women, and children, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brethren.

⁴ But we will give our selves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

² Devout, and fearing God with all his house, giving many alms to the people, and praying to God alway.

⁵ Peter therefore was kept in prison; but great prayer was made with fervency of the church unto God for him.

¹⁵ For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

²⁶ Likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession, with groanings which cannot be uttered. ²⁷ And he that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to God.

¹² Rejoycing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer:

⁶ And because ye are ons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

¹⁶ I will not cease to give thanks for you, making mention in my prayers;

²² In whom you also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

¹⁸ May be able to comprehend with all saints, what [is] the breadth, and length, and height, and depth;

¹⁹ And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel:

⁴ Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy;

⁶ Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.

⁴ Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saits;

² Continue in prayer, and watch in the same.

¹⁷ Pray without ceasing.

¹ Exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks be made for all men:

³ I thank my God, whom I serve from [my] forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day:

⁵ Hearing of thy faith and love, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus Christ, and toward all saints;

⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears, unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard, in that he feared;

⁷ But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

²⁰ But ye, beloved, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

¹³ Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned men, they marvelled, but they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

²⁹ And now, Lord, behold their threatnings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

³¹ And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness to every one that would believe.

²⁷ But Barnabas took him, and brought [him] to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

²⁹ And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Helenists: but they went about to slay him.

⁴⁶ But Paul and Barnabas waxed bold,and said unto them, The word of God was to be first spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge your selves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

³ Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, who gave testimony unto the word of his grace, [and] granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

²⁶ He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. Whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him [this] way more perfectly.

⁸ But Paul entered into the synagogue with great power, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading what concerned the kingdom of God.

³¹ Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

³⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

⁵ That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and all knowledge:

⁷ But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] that which is hidden, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.

¹ Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

¹¹ You also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on your behalf.

¹² Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech.

⁴ Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great [is] my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in our manifold tribulation.

⁷ Therefore as ye abound in every thing, in faith, in utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us; that ye abound in this grace also.

⁹ Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to the good pleasure, which he hath purposed in himself:

³ How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery, as I wrote afore in few words, ⁴ Whereby when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ.

¹⁹ For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, ²⁰ According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

²⁶ The mystery which hath been hid from ages, and from generations, but now made manifest to his saints: ²⁷ To whom God would make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

² That their hearts might be comforted, they being knit together in love, unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

³ Withal, praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

² But after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.

²⁵ And brethren, pray for us.

¹ Finally brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have its course, and be glorified, even as [it is] with you;

¹⁶ And without controversy, great is the mystery [of the word]of godliness: who was manifested in the flesh, justified in Spirit, seen of angels, preached among Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

²² But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

¹⁸ Pray also for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

²⁷ What I tell you in darkness, speak ye in the light: and what ye hear in the ear, preach ye upon the house-tops. ²⁸ And fear not them who kill the body, but are nor able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

²⁹ [Then Peter and the apostles answered and said,] We ought to obey God rather than men.

³³ Then the chief captain came near and took him, and commanded [him] to be bound with two chains; and demanded, who he was, and what he had done.

²⁹ And Paul[said], I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

²⁰ For this cause therefore have I called foryou, to see and to speak with [you]: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.

²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech by us: we pray in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled unto God.

¹ For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ, am an ambassador for you Gentiles;

¹ I therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you, that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

⁷ Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace,

¹³ So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other [places]; ¹⁴ And many of the brethren in the Lord waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word of God without fear.

²⁰ According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

⁴ That I also may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain.

⁹ Wherein I suffer trouble as an evil-doer, unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

¹⁰ I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

¹⁶ Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brethren.

³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you, that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

⁴ And when he was about to go forth, Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus, and Gaius; Of Derbe, Timothy; and of the Ephesians Eutychus and Trophimus accompanied him as far as Asia.

¹⁷ For this cause have I sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ Jesus, as I teach everywhere in every church.

¹² But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things about me, have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the Gospel:

⁷ As ye learned of Epaphras our dear fellow-servant, who is for us a faithful minister of Christ;

⁷ All my state shall Tychichus declare unto you, [who is] a beloved brother, and a faithful minister, and fellow-servant in the Lord: ⁸ Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our estate, and to comfort your hearts; ⁹ With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you, who shall make known unto you all things which [are] here,

⁶ If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith, and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

¹² And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

¹² When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

¹² By Silvanus a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying, that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

¹⁵ And account the long-suffering of our Lord salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given unto him, hath written unto you;

¹⁹ But I trust in Christ Jesus, to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.

²⁵ Yet I supposed it necessary, so send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and fellow-soldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

⁷ All my state shall Tychichus declare unto you, [who is] a beloved brother, and a faithful minister, and fellow-servant in the Lord: ⁸ Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our estate, and to comfort your hearts;

² And sent Timothy our brother, and our fellow-worker with God in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith;

¹⁷ Comfort your hearts, and stablish [them] in every good work and word.

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

⁷ To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, the called saints: Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

³ Grace [be] unto you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁶ For in Jesus Christ, neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love:

¹⁶ And as many as walk according to this rule, peace [be] on them, and mercy, [and] upon the Israel of God.

³ We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all towards each other aboundeth:

¹⁶ Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always, in every place. The Lord [be] with you all.

³ As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

¹⁴ But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith, and love which is in Christ Jesus.

⁸ But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

⁵ Hearing of thy faith and love, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus Christ, and toward all saints; ⁶ That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing, which is in you in Christ Jesus. ⁷ For we have had great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, Brother.

¹⁴ Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace [be] with you all that are in Christ.

⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia: grace be unto you, and peace from him who is, and who was, and who is to come[;] and from the seven spirits which are before his throne;

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

³⁷ Jesus saith unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the age.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me more that these? Jesus (Read: Peter) saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁶ the Lord saith to him the second time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁷ He saith unto him the third time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Lord, thou knowest all men; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

²² If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, Maran-atha. ²³ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you.

⁸ I speak not by commandment, but on account of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

¹² For if there be first a willing mind, [it is] accepted according to that a man hath, not according to that he hath not.

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you all. Amen.

¹⁸ The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds, Grace [be] with you. Amen.

²² The Lord Jesus Christ [be] with thy spirit. Grace [be] with us: Farewel in peace: Amen.

⁷ In all things shewing thy self a pattern of good works: in doctrine, gravity, sincerity,

¹⁵ All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. The Grace of the Lord [be] with you all. Amen.

²⁵ Grace [be] with all the saints: Amen.
