¹⁵ Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

¹⁴ Then one of the twelve, called Judas Scarioth, went unto the chief priests,

⁴⁸ Now he that betrayed him, gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he, hold him fast. ⁴⁹ And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail master; and kissed him. ⁵⁰ And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. ⁵¹ And behold one of them who were with Jesus, stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priests, and smote off his ear. ⁵² Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into its place: for all they that take the sword, shall perish with the sword. ⁵³ Or thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angel? ⁵⁴ But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? ⁵⁵ In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come as against a thief with swords and staves to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me. ⁵⁶ But all this hath been done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook im, and fled. ⁵⁷ And they that had laid hold on Jesus, led [him] away to Caiphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. ⁵⁸ But Peter followed him afar off, unto the high priests palace, and went in, and sat with the servants to see the end. ⁵⁹ Now the chief priests, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus to put him to death.

¹ But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, ² And kept back [part] of the price, the wife also being privy; and brought a certain part, and laid [it] at the apostles feet. ³ But Peter said unto Ananias, Why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and for thee to keep back [part] of the price of the land?

¹² Wherefore, as by one man sin entred in the world, and death by sin; and so it passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. ¹³ For until the law, sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. ¹⁴ Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come: ¹⁵ But not as the offence, so also [is] the free gift. For if through the offence of one, the many be dead; much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. ¹⁶ And not as [it was] by one sin, [so is] the gift: for the judgment [was] by one to condemnation: but the free gift [is] of many offences unto justification of life, ¹⁷ For if by one offence, death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ Therefore as by one offence [it came] upon all men to condemnation: even so by one righteousness [it came] upon all men unto justification of life. ¹⁹ For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners: so by the obedience of one man, shall many be made righteous. ²⁰ Moreover, the law entered, that the offence might abound: But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ²¹ That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord.

²¹ What fruit had ye then in those things, whereof ye are now ashamed? for truly the end of those things [is] death. ²² But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. ²³ For the wages of sin [is] death: but the gift of God [is] eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹⁴ And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire: This is the second death, the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.
