⁹ But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

⁹ But every one of the Jews went out, beginning at the eldest, till all were gone out: and Jesus was left alone, the woman being in the midst.

⁸ And when he is come, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement:

²⁰ Therefore by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

⁷ What shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. ⁸ But sin taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin [is] dead. ⁹ For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. ¹⁰ And the commandment which [was] to life, I found [to be] unto death. ¹¹ For sin taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. ¹² Wherefore the law [is] holy; and the commandment holy, and just, and good. ¹³ Was then that which is good, made death unto me? By no means. But sin that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

²⁴ But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

¹⁹ For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

¹ My brethren, have not the faith of Jesus Christ our Lord of glory, with respect of persons. ² For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; ³ And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under the footstool of my feet[.] ⁴ Are ye not then partial in your selves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

⁴ Whosoever committeth sin, transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

¹⁵ To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly, of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
