³⁸ Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

¹⁸ For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. ¹⁹ When he was sat down on the Judgment-seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that righteous one, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream, because of him.

²⁴ When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this man, you shall see [to it].

¹⁴ Then Pilate said unto them, What evil hath he then done? And they cried out exceedingly, Crucifie him.

⁴ Pilate said to the chief priests and to the multitudes, I find no fault in this man.

⁶ When the chief priests therefore and the officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucifie, crucifie him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him and crucifie him; for I find no fault in him.

²¹ The chief priests of the Jews said therefore to Pilate, Write not, The king of the Jews, but that he said, I am king of the Jews. ²² Pilate answered, What I have written, I have written.
