⁴ And forgive us our debts; for we also forgive our debters. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

³⁵ So like-wise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother.

⁴¹ Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.

¹³ They on the rock, when they hear, receive the word with joy;these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

⁴⁶ And said unto them, sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

¹⁵ I ask not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil one.

¹³ There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not leave you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

⁷ And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me. ⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil-speaking be put away from you, with all malice. ³² Be ye therefore kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us.

¹³ Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as the Lord forgave you, so also do ye.

³ But God is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil.

¹⁸ The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom; to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹³ For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; [and] let mercy rejoice against judgment.

⁸ If we say we have no sin, we deceive our selves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

¹⁰ Fear not those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and may have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

¹⁰ And thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
