¹ Then said he unto [his] disciples, It is impossible but that scandals will come: but wo [unto him,] through whom they come. ² But it were better for him, that a milstone had been hanged about his neck, and he had been cast into the sea, than that he should scandalize one of these little ones. ³ Take heed to your selves: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he shall repent, forgive him. ⁴ And if he shall sin against thee seven times in a day, and seven times turn again to thee saying, I repent; forgive him. ⁵ And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. ⁶ But he said unto them, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might have said unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it should have removed;and unto this sycamine-tree, be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. ⁷ But which of you having a servant plowing, or seeding, when he is come from the field, will he say presently unto him, Go and sit down? ⁸ But he will say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thy self, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward eat and drink? ⁹ Doth he thank the servant because he hath done what he was bidden? I suppose not. ¹⁰ So likewise ye, when ye shall have done whatsoever I say, say ye, We are unprofitable servants: we have done what we ought to do. ¹¹ And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. ¹² And as he entred into a certain village where there were ten men that were lepers; they stood afar off: ¹³ And they cried with a loud voice, and said, Jesus Master, have mercy on us. ¹⁴ And when he saw them, he said unto them, Be ye healed: Go shew your selves unto the priests. And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed. ¹⁵ And one of them when he saw that he was cleansed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God. ¹⁶ And fell down on [his] face at his feet: and he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And Jesus answering said to them, Were there not ten cleansed? where [are] the nine? ¹⁸ None of them is found that will return to give glory to God, save this stranger. ¹⁹ And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way; For thy faith hath made thee whole. ²⁰ And when he was asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come; he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. ²¹ Neither shall they say, Lo here, or, lo there: do not believe [them], for behold, the kingdom of God is within you. ²² He said therefore unto the disciples, The days will come when ye shall desire one of these days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. ²³ And they will say to you See here, or, see there; you shall not go out, nor follow [them]. ²⁴ For as the lightning that lightneth out of the one [part] under heaven, shineth, so shall also the Son of man be in his day. ²⁵ But he must first suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. ²⁶ And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. ²⁷ They did eat, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entred into the ark: and the flood came, and destroyed them all. ²⁸ Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot, they eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded: ²⁹ On the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. ³⁰ Even thus shall it be in the day of the Son of man, when he shall be revealed. ³¹ In that day, he who shall be upon the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not come down to take them away: and he who is in the field, let him likewise not return back. ³² Remember Lot's wife. ³³ Whosoever shall save his life, shall lose [it:] and whosoever shall lose his life, shall preserve it. ³⁴ I tell you, in that night there will be two men upon one bed; the one will be taken, and the other will be left. ³⁵ Two women will be grinding together, the one will be taken, and the other left. ³⁶ Two men will be in the field; the one will be taken, and the other left. ³⁷ And they answered and said, Where, Lord? And, he said unto them, Where the body [is,] thither will the eagles be gathered together.

²³ But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan, thou art an Offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things of God, but of men.

⁷ Wo unto the world because of scandals: for it must needs be that scandals come: but wo to the man by whom the scandal cometh.

¹³ Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling-block, or an occasion to fall in the brother's way.

²⁰ For meat destroy not the work of God. All thing indeed [are] pure; but [it is] evil for that man who eateth with offence. ²¹ [It is] good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine nor that whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is scandalized, or is made weak.

¹⁷ Now I beseech you, brethren, mark diligently them who cause divisions and scandals, saying or doing things contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

¹³ Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

³² Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

¹⁹ For there must be also heresies, that they also which are approved, may be made manifest among you.

¹⁰ And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness, in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth of Christ, that they might be saved. ¹¹ For this cause God sends them strong delusion, that they shall believe a lie: ¹² That they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

¹⁴ But I have a few things against thee, because he hath there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac the king to cast a stumbling-block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication,

²⁰ Notwithstanding, I have against thee, because thou sufferest thy wise Jezabel, who calleth herself a prophetess, and she teacheth and seduceth my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

¹⁴ And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth, by those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the wild beast, saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the wild beast who had the wound by a sword, and did live. ¹⁵ And he had power to give life unto the image of the wild beast, that the image of the wild beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the wild beast, should be killed. ¹⁶ And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, that he may give them a mark in their right hand, or in the forehead: ¹⁷ And that no man might buy or sell save he that had the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name. ¹⁸ Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is 666.

³ And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of the heavens. ⁴ Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the Kingdom of the heavens. ⁵ And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me. ⁶ But whoso shall afford scandal to one of these little ones who believe in me, it were better for him that a milstone were hanged about his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

¹⁰ See that ye despise not one of these little ones that believe on me; for I say unto you, that their angels in the heavens do always behold the face of my Father who is in the heavens.

¹⁴ Even so it is not the will of our Father who is in the heavens, that one of these little ones should perish.

²⁴ Therefore the Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but wo unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed: it had been good on this account for that man it he had not been born.

⁴² And whosoever shall offend one of [these] little ones that have faith, it is better for him, that a milstone were hanged upon his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me more that these? Jesus (Read: Peter) saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

¹¹ And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? ¹² But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

¹⁵ But I have used none of there things. Neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for [it were] better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.

²² To the weak became I weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save all men.

¹ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who privily will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction, ² And many will follow their filthiness, by reason of whom the glory of truth will be evil spoken of. ³ And through covetousness will they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their destruction slumbreth not.

¹⁵ But if thy brother shall sin against thee, go, tell him his fault between thee and him alone; if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. ¹⁶ But if he will not hear, take with thee one of two more, that in the mouth of two or three every word may be established ¹⁷ And if he shall refuse to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he refuse to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man, and as a publican.

²¹ Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

³⁴ Take heed to your selves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come upon you unwares.

¹¹ But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. ¹² For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew, and separated himself, fearing them who were of the circumcision. ¹³ And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. ¹⁴ But when I saw that they walked not uprightly, according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before all, If thou, a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, How compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

¹⁵ See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

¹⁵ Looking diligently, that no one fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness spring up, with gall, and thereby many be defiled:

¹⁹ My brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

⁸ Look to your selves, that ye lose not those things which ye have wrought, but that ye receive a full reward.

⁴⁴ But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that do spitefully use and persecute you:

¹² And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debters.

¹⁴ For, if ye shall forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if ye shall not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.

¹⁶ But if he will not hear, take with thee one of two more, that in the mouth of two or three every word may be established

²¹ Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? ²² Jesus said unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, until seventy times seven.

³⁵ So like-wise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother.

²⁰ If thine enemy hunger, feed him; and if he thirst, give him drink; for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

⁴ Charity suffereth long, [and] is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not it self, is not puffed up, ⁵ Doth not behave it self unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, ⁶ Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth: ⁷ Covereth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil-speaking be put away from you, with all malice. ³² Be ye therefore kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us.

¹² Put on therefore as the elect of God holy and beloved bowels of mercies, also kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; ¹³ Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as the Lord forgave you, so also do ye.

¹³ But ye, brethren, be not weary in well-doing. ¹⁴ And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and so have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

³⁰ And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, what they had done, and what they had taught.

²⁴ And straightway the father of the child cries out, and says with tears, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

¹³ And when Jesus saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. ⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

¹³ I can do all things through Christ who strengthneth me.

³ We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all towards each other aboundeth:

² Looking unto Jesus theauthor and finisher of the faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

²² Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth, unto unfeigned love of the brethren; love one another with the heart fervently: ²³ Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth.

³¹ Another parable spake he unto them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field. ³² Which in deed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is greater than herbs and becometh a tree: so that the birds of heaven come and lodge in the branches thereof.

²⁰ And he saith unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye shall have faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

²¹ Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do this to the fig-tree, but if ye shall say also unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, it shall be done,

²³ Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth.

²² And Jesus answering saith unto them, If ye had the faith of God, ²³ Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but what he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.

¹⁹ It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden, and it grew, and became a tree: and the fowls of the air lodged under the branches of it.

⁴ And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore-tree to see him; for he was to pass by that way.

² And though I have prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have no charity, I am nothing.

¹¹ But he said unto them, What man is there among you, that shall have one sheep, and is shall fall into a pit on the sabbath, does he not lay hold on it, and lift [it] out?

¹⁵ But the Lord Jesus answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite; doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox and ass from the stall, and lead [him] away to watering?

⁵ And said unto them, Which of you shall have a sheep or an ox fallen into a pit on the sabbath-day and will not straightway pull him out?

³⁷ Blessed [are] those servants, whom the Lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I [say] unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

³⁰ And cast ye forth the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

³⁷ Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thisty, and gave [thee] drink? ³⁸ When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? and naked, and clothed [thee]? ³⁹ Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? ⁴⁰ And the King shall answer, and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

¹² They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that doeth good, no not one.

³⁵ Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

¹⁶ For if I should preach the gospel, I have no thanks for it: for necessity is laid upon me; For, wo is unto me, if I preach not the gospel. ¹⁷ For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation is committed unto me.

⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. ¹⁰ But by the grace of God, I am what I am: and his grace upon me has not been poor, but I laboured more abundantly than all: yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

⁸ Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss, for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung that I may win Christ, ⁹ And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

¹¹ Who in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me.

⁵ Likewise ye younger, submit your selves unto the elder: yea, and all one with another, be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. ⁶ Humble your selves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation.

⁵¹ And it came to pass, when the days were fulfilled that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, ⁵² And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entred into a village of the Samaritans to make ready for him.

³ He left the land of Judea, and departed again into Galilee. ⁴ And he must needs go through Samaria.

¹² And it came to pass, when he was in one of the cities, behold, a leprous man: who seeing Jesus, fell on [his] face, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

¹³ And the publican standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

²⁷ And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed, crying, and saying, Thou son of David have mercy on us.

²² And behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried after him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a dæmon.

³⁰ And behold, two blind men sitting by the way-side heard that Jesus passed by, and cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. ³¹ And the multitude rebuked them, that they might hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

²² And oft-times it casteth him into the fire, and into the waters to destroy him; but if thou canst do any thing, O Lord, have compassion on us, and help us.

⁵ But Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will not disobey.

³⁸ But he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. ³⁹ And they who went before, rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

¹⁵ And Jesus answering, said unto him, Suffer [it] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

³ And Jesus put forth [his] hand and touched him, saying, I will: Be thou clean. And immediately his leprosie was cleansed. ⁴ And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no one, but go away, shew thy self to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

¹⁴ And he charged him to tell no one: but go away, and shew thy self to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, that it may be a testimony unto you. But he went out; and began to proclaim and spread the fame of the matter; in so much that he could not openly enter into the city; but he was without in desert places; and they came together unto him. And he came again to Capharnaum.

⁵ His mother saith unto the servants; Whatsoever he saith unto you, do [it].

⁵⁰ Jesus saith unto him, Go, thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went. ⁵¹ And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told [him], saying, that Thy son liveth. ⁵² Then enquired he of them the hour, when he began to amend: and they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. ⁵³ So the father know that [it was] at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth; and himself believed, and his whole house.

⁷ And said, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is interpreted Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

¹⁰ But if any one walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is not light in him.

⁸ But when the multitude saw [it], they were affrighted, and glorified God, who has gived such power unto men.

¹⁷ And Jesus answering said to them, Were there not ten cleansed? where [are] the nine? ¹⁸ None of them is found that will return to give glory to God, save this stranger.

¹⁴ Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

³⁸ Be he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

¹¹ And when they were come into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and fell down and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

⁵ These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, and said, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into a city of Samaritans enter ye not.

³³ But the woman fearing and trembling, on account of what she had done secretly, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

⁸ But when Simon saw [it], he fell down to his feet saying, I beseech thee Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

⁵² And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entred into a village of the Samaritans to make ready for him. ⁵³ And they did not receive him, because his face was going to Jerusalem. ⁵⁴ And when his disciples James and John saw [this,] they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? ⁵⁵ But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. ⁵⁶ And they went to another village.

³² And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, seeing him, passed by on the other side. ³³ But a certain Samaritan as he journeyed, came to him: and when he saw him, he had compassion: ³⁴ And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oyl and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought [him] to an inn, and took care of him. ³⁵ And on the morrow he took out two denarii, and gave to the host, and said, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou shall spend more, when I return, I will repay [it.]

⁹ Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou being a Jew, askest drink of me, a woman of Samaria?

²¹ Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem worship the Father. ²² Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship; for salvation is of the Jews.

³⁹ And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him, for the word of the woman which testified, He told me all that ever I did. ⁴⁰ So when the Samaritans were come unto him, the besought him that he would abide with them: and he abode there two days. ⁴¹ And many more believed because of his own word: ⁴² And said unto the woman, We do not know believe because of thy testimony; for we have heard him our selves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

²³ That all should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son, neither honoureth he the Father who hath sent him.

⁴⁸ The Jews, answered and said unto him, Say we not well, that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a daemon?

⁸ But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

⁵ And Philip came to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. ⁶ But when all the multitudes with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing, and seeing the signs which he did. ⁷ Unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. ⁸ And there was great joy in that city. ⁹ But there was a certain man whose name was Simon, before in that city, who used magick, and distracted the nation of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one. ¹⁰ To whom they all gave heed from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is that power of God, which is called The Great. ¹¹ And to him they gave heed, because that of long time he had distracted them with magical arts. ¹² But when they believed Philip, preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized both men and women. ¹³ Then Simon himself also believed: and when he was baptized, [he] also continued with Philip, and beholding the miracles and signs which were done he was distracted. ¹⁴ Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem, heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John. ¹⁵ Who when they were come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost. ¹⁶ For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. ¹⁷ Then laid they hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. ¹⁸ And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles hands, the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money. ¹⁹ Beseeching him, and saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I also lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. ²⁰ But Peter said unto him, The money go to perdition with thee, because thou hast thought that the free gift of God may he purchased with money. ²¹ Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: thy heart is not right before God. ²² Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. ²³ For I see that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and the bond of iniquity. ²⁴ Then answered Simon and said unto them, I beseech you. Pray ye to God for me, that none of these evil things which ye have spoken to me come upon me: who did not leave off to weep greatly. ²⁵ They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem: But they preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

²⁵ But as Peter drew nigh to Cesarea, one of the servants ran before, and told that he was come. But Cornelius leaped up, and met him: and falling at his feet, worshipped him. ²⁶ But Peter raised him up, saying, What doest thou? I also am a man as thou art.

¹⁰ The twenty-four elders will fall down before him that sits on the throne, and will worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

¹⁴ And the four animals said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped.

⁴ And the twenty-four elders, and the four animals fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. ⁵ And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, small and great.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him: And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not; I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

⁷ So when they continued asking, he lift up himself and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. ⁸ And again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground. ⁹ But every one of the Jews went out, beginning at the eldest, till all were gone out: and Jesus was left alone, the woman being in the midst. ¹⁰ When Jesus had lift up himself, he said to the woman, Where are those men? hath no one condemned thee?

²¹ Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkned.

¹⁰ When Jesus heard [it], he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no not in Israel.

¹² But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

²⁴ But he answered and said, I am not sent, but unto these lost sheep of the house of Israel. ²⁵ Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. ²⁶ But he answered and said, it is not lawful to take the childrens bread, and to cast it to dogs. ²⁷ And she said, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters table. ²⁸ Then he answered and said unto her, Woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt: And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

³⁰ But many first shall be last; and the last first.

¹⁶ So the last shall be first, and the first last: for the called are many, but the chosen are few.

⁷ Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea and the fountains of waters.

²² But he turned him about; and stood still; and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath cured thee. And the woman was cured from that hour.

³⁴ But Jesus said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy stroke.

⁵² And Jesus said unto him, Go away; thy faith hast made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him in the way.

⁵⁰ And he said to the woman, woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

⁴⁸ But he said unto her, Daughter; Thy faith hath healed thee, go in peace.

⁴² And he answered him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

¹¹ Even the very dust of your feet which cleaveth to our feet we do wipe off against you. But know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh [you.]

¹⁶ The law and the prophets prophecyed until John: from thence the kingdom of God is preached, and every one forceth unto it.

²³ And they will say to you See here, or, see there; you shall not go out, nor follow [them]. ²⁴ For as the lightning that lightneth out of the one [part] under heaven, shineth, so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

¹¹ And as they heard these things, he added, and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because it seemed that the kingdom of God would immediately appear.

³⁶ Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: If my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not I be delivered to the Jews: but now my kingdom is not from hence.

⁶ When they therefore were come together, they asked of him saying, Lord, dost thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? ⁷ And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

²⁸ But if I cast out dæmons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

²³ Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or there: ye shall not believe [it]. ²⁴ For there will be raised false Christs, and false prophets, and will shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that if possible the very elect should be deceived. ²⁵ Behold, I have told you before. ²⁶ Wherefore, if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers, believe [it] not. ²⁷ For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth unto the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be. ²⁸ Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles also be gathered together.

²¹ And then, if any one shall say, Lo, here [is] Christ, or lo, there: believe it not.

⁹ And heal those that are sick therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you ¹⁰ But unto whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets of it, and say, ¹¹ Even the very dust of your feet which cleaveth to our feet we do wipe off against you. But know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh [you.]

²³ And they will say to you See here, or, see there; you shall not go out, nor follow [them].

⁸ But he said, See that ye be not deceived: for many will come in my name, saying, I am He, and the time draweth near: go ye not after them.

²⁶ John, answered them, saying I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

²⁷ To whom God would make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

¹⁵ And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridegroom fast, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the day will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them and then they shall fast in those days.

²⁰ But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast on that day.

³⁵ But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, then shall they fast, in those days.

³⁵ Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: But I say unto you, Ye shall by no means see me, until the time shall come when ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

³³ Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while I am with you, and I go unto him that sent me. ³⁴ Ye shall seek me, and shall not find [me]: and where I am, ye cannot come. ³⁵ The Jews therefore said among themselves. Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersion of the Greeks, and teach the Greeks? ³⁶ What saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find [me]: and where I am, ye cannot come?

²¹ Then said he again unto them, I go away and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go ye cannot come. ²² The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go ye cannot come. ²³ And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath, But I am from above: ye are of this world, I am not of this world. ²⁴ I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your Sins: for if ye believe not me that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.

³⁵ Jesus therefore said unto them, Yet a little while is the light among you: walk therefore while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

³³ Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, that Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say unto you.

⁵ But now I go to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? ⁶ But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. ⁷ But I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

¹⁶ A little while and ye shall see me no longer; and again, in a little while, and ye shall see me, [Because I go to the Father]. ¹⁷ Some of his disciples therefore said among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while and ye shall see me no longer: and again, a little while and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father? ¹⁸ What is this? A little while? we cannot tell what he saith. ¹⁹ Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him about this Matter, and said unto them, Do you enquire among your selves about what I said, A little while and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while and ye shall see me? ²⁰ Verily, verily I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament; The world shall rejoyce. Ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. ²¹ A woman when she is in travail, hath sorrow, because her day is come: but assoon as she has brought forth the child, she remembreth no more the sorrow, for joy that a man is born into the world. ²² And ye now therefore shall have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one taketh from you.

¹¹ And I am no longer in this world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. I am no longer in the world, and I am in the world: Holy Father, keep them in thy name. ¹² What thou gavest me, that they they may be one as we are. While I was with them, I kept them in thy name. Those that thou gavest me I have kept: And none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. ¹³ And now come I to thee, and these things I speak in this world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man who is in the heavens, and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming upon the clouds of heaven, with great power and glory.

³¹ When the Son of man shall come in [his] glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.

⁶⁴ Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: moreover I say unto you, that hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

² For your selves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

² That ye be not soon shaken from your meaning, or be troubled, neither by spirit, word, or letter, as by us, as that the day of the Lord is immediately at hand.

⁸ And then shall that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

⁸ Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat; the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burnt up

²¹ From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders, and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days arise again.

²² And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: ²³ And they shall kill him, and after three days he shall be raised: and they were exceeding sorry.

¹⁸ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be betrayed unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes, and they will condemn him to death, ¹⁹ And will deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucifie: and the third day he will rise again.

⁴² Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, he is become the head of the corner? this [head] is the Lord's doing, and is marvellous in our eyes.

³¹ And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and of the chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

³¹ For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him, and after three days he shall rise again.

³³ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes: and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the gentiles;

¹⁰ And have ye not read this scripture? The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner.

²² Saying, That the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and chief priests, and scribes and be slain, and rise again after three days.

³¹ Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man will be accomplished.

³³ And they will scourge [him,] and put him to death: and the third day he will rise again.

²⁵ But he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart as to all that the prophets have spoken! ²⁶ That Christ ought to have suffered these things, and to have entred into his glory?

⁴⁶ And said unto them, Thus it is written, that Christ should suffer, and rise the third day.

¹¹ He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

³⁸ That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

³⁷ For as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. ³⁸ For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, both marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noe entered into the ark. ³⁹ And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of man be.

²² He said therefore unto the disciples, The days will come when ye shall desire one of these days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

²⁴ For as the lightning that lightneth out of the one [part] under heaven, shineth, so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

⁸ I tell you, He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

⁷ By faith Noah being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

¹⁹ By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; ²⁰ which sometime were disobedient, when the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing; wherein few persons, that is, eight souls, were saved by water.

⁵ And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

⁶ Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.

¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods; Be merry. ²⁰ But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: [then] whose shall those things be which thou hast provided;

¹⁹ But he spake also another parable: There was a rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day. ²⁰ But a certain beggar named Lazarus, was laid at his gate full of ulcers. ²¹ And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich mans table: moreover, the dogs came and licked his ulcers. ²² And it came to pass that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abrahams bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried. ²³ And in hades he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus resting in his bosom.

¹ But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. ² For your selves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. ³ And when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

¹ Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon [you]. ² Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and the rust shall eat your flesh as fire: ye have heaped treasure together in the last days. ⁴ Behold the hire of the labourers, who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them who have reaped, are entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts. ⁵ Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, ye have been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts in days of slaughter.

²³ And thou, Capharnaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven, or shalt thou descend into Hades? for if the mighty works which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained unto this day. ²⁴ Moreover I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom, in the day of judgment, than for you.

⁶ And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes, condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

⁷ Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, in like manner with these, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the resemblance of eternal fire.

⁸ And their deadbody[shall be] in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

²⁷ For the Son of man will come in the glory of his Father, with his holy angels; and then he shall reward every one according to his practice.

³ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the age?

²⁷ For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth unto the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be. ²⁸ Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles also be gathered together. ²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sunbe darkned, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. ³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man who is in the heavens, and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming upon the clouds of heaven, with great power and glory. ³¹ And he shall send his angels with a trumpet, of a great sound and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. And when these things begin to come to pass, Look up, and lift up your heads for your redemption draweth nigh.

³⁷ For as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

³⁹ And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of man be.

²⁶ And then shall they see the Son of man coming upon the clouds; with great power and glory.

²² For these be the days of vengence, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

²⁷ And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with great power and glory.

³⁴ Take heed to your selves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come upon you unwares. ³⁵ For as a snare shall it come on them that dwell on the face of the whole-land. ³⁶ But Watch ye and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and ye shall stand before the Son of man.

⁷ So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

⁷ And to you who are troubled, rest with us; when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven, with his mighty angels,

⁷ That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might befound unto praise, and honour, and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

¹³ Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end, for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

¹³ But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

⁷ Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him: even so, Amen.

²⁵ Therefore I say unto you, Be not sollicitous for your life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on: Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

²⁶ For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

¹⁷ But let him who is on the house-top, not come down to take any thing out of the house: ¹⁸ Neither let him who is in the field return back to take his garment. ¹⁹ And wo unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days. ²⁰ But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath-day: ²¹ For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, nor may they ever be again.

¹⁴ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not, let him that readeth, mind what he readeth, then let them that be in Judea, flee to the mountains. ¹⁵ And let him that is on the house-top, not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house. ¹⁶ And let him that is in the field not turn back to take up his garment.

²¹ Then let them who are in Judea, flee to the mountains; and let them who are in the midst of it, [not] depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

⁷ But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. ⁸ Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss, for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung that I may win Christ,

⁶ Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil thing, as they also lusted. ⁷ Neither be ye idolaters, as [were] also some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. ⁸ Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell [Read [four and twenty thousand], from [Numb.] xxv. 9. and some [Greek] Copies.]three and twenty thousand. ⁹ Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. ¹⁰ Neither murmur ye, as some of them murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. ¹¹ Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. ¹² Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth, take heed lest he fall.

³⁸ Now the just shall live by my faith: but if he draw back, my foul shall have no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition: but of them that believe, to the saving of the soul.

¹⁸ For when they speak great swelling [words] of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that in some measure escape from them who live in error: ¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. ²⁰ For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome; the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. ²¹ For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after they have known [it], to return backward from the holy commandment delivered unto them. ²² It is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.

³⁹ He that findeth his life shall lose it: but he that loseth his life for my sake, shall find it.

²⁵ For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake, shall find it.

³⁵ For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose it for the gospels sake, the same shall save it. ³⁶ For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? ³⁷ For what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

²⁴ For whosoever will save his soul, shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. ²⁵ For what will it advantage a man to gain the whole world, and lose himself.

²⁵ He that loveth his life, shall lose it: and he that hateth his life in this world, shall keep it unto life eternal.

¹⁰ Fear not those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and may have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

²⁵ Behold, I have told you before.

⁴⁰ Then shall two be in the field, the one is taken, and the other left. ⁴¹ Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill, the one is taken, and the other left. Two shall be upon one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other left:

²³ But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

²⁹ But Peter saith unto him, If all shall be offended, yet will not I be offended.

³ I tell you, No; but except ye shall repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

⁵ And I tell you, No; but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

²⁴ Strive to enter in at the strait door: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not find it.

⁴ But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to my self seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to Baal. ⁵ Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. ⁶ And if by grace, then [is it] no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. ⁷ What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded:

¹⁶ For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: ¹⁷ Then we which are alive, and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

⁹ The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

⁴¹ Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill, the one is taken, and the other left. Two shall be upon one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other left:

²⁸ Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles also be gathered together.

¹⁶ Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles, that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath of God is come upon them to the uttermost.

¹⁷ And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come, gather your selves together unto the great supper of God; ¹⁸ That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both [free] and bond, both small and great.
