²² Yea, and certain women also made us astonished, who were early at the sepulchre:

⁷ And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee, there shall ye see him; I have told you. ⁸ And they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with fear and great joy, and did run to bring his disciples word.

⁹ NOW when he was risen early, the first [day] of the week, he made himself known first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven dæmons. ¹⁰ She went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

¹ But upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing what they had prepared, and certain with them. ² But they reasoned among themselves who now shall roll away the stone?But They found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. ³ And they entred in, and found not the body. ⁴ And it came to pass, as they were perplexed about it; behold two men stood by them in a shining garment. ⁵ And [they were] afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth; But they said unto them, Why seek ye him that is alive among the dead? ⁶ Remember how many things he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, ⁷ That the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. ⁸ And they remembred his words, ⁹ And returned, and told all these things unto the eleven, and all the rest. ¹⁰ Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary [the mother] of James, and other [women] with them, told these things unto the apostles, ¹¹ And these words seemed to them as an idle tale, and they believed them not.

¹ Now the first [day] of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, while it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. ² She runneth therefore and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher, and we know not where they have laid him.

¹⁸ Mary Magdalene cometh and telleth his disciples, that she had seen the Lord, and declared to them what he had said to her.
