⁷² And presently the cock crew the second time. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said. And when he thought thereon, he began to weep.

³⁴ Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, that this night before the cock crow, thou wilt deny me thrice.

⁷⁴ Then began he to curse and to swear, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. ⁷⁵ And Peter remembred the word of Jesus, who said, Before the cock crow, thou wilt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
