¹⁷ But Jesus answered and said, Blessed are thou Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father who is in the heavens.

³ Blessed [are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. ⁴ Blessed [are] the meek: for they all inherit the earth. ⁵ Blessed [are] they that mourn; for they shall be comforted. ⁶ Blessed [are] they who do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be filled, ⁷ Blessed [are] the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. ⁸ Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God. ⁹ Blessed [are] the peace-makers: for they shall be called the children of God. ¹⁰ Blessed [are] they who are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs shall be the kingdom of heaven. ¹¹ Blessed are ye when men shall persecute and revile you, and shall say all manner of evil against you for my sake.

²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid there things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes, ²⁶ Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight. ²⁷ All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth the Son but the Father: neither knoweth any one the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].

¹⁶ But blessed [are] your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. ¹⁷ For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and were not able to see them, and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard [them].

²¹ But in that hour he rejoyced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so Father, for so was thy good pleasure. ²² All things are delivered to me of the Father; and, and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is,but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal [him.] ²³ But he turned him unto the disciples, and said unto them, Blessed [are] the eyes which see what ye see, and the ears that hear things that ye hear. ²⁴ For I say unto you, that many prophets have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen [them];and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard [them] .

³² But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not; But when thou art converted, convert also thy brethren.

⁴² And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jonas: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is interpreted a Rock.

⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Everyone that heareth, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

⁶ I have manifest thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world; thine they were, and thou hast given them me; and they have kept thy word. ⁷ Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me, are from thee. ⁸ For I have given unto them thy words which thou hast given me; and they have received them truly, because I came out from thee; and they have believed that thou didst send me.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me more that these? Jesus (Read: Peter) saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁶ the Lord saith to him the second time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁷ He saith unto him the third time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Lord, thou knowest all men; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

⁹ But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. ¹⁰ But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. ¹¹ For what man hath known the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God no one hath known, but the Spirit of God. ¹² Now we have received, not the spirit of this world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

⁵⁰ For this I say, Brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither shall corruption inherit incorruption.

¹¹ For I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me, is not after man. ¹² For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: ¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the knowledge of him; ¹⁸ The eyes of your heart being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

⁸ For by his grace are we saved, through faith and that not of our selves; [it is] the gift of God:

⁵ Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Holy Spirit;

¹⁸ May be able to comprehend with all saints, what [is] the breadth, and length, and height, and depth; ¹⁹ And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge; that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

¹² For ye wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

²⁶ The mystery which hath been hid from ages, and from generations, but now made manifest to his saints: ²⁷ To whom God would make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children were partakers of blood and flesh, he also himself likewise took part of the same sufferings: that thro death he might destroy [death] that hath the power of death, that is, the devil;

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, ⁵ Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹ The elders therefore who are among you I exhort, who am a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

¹⁵ Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding that we may know the true God: and we are in him that is true, in his Son. This is the true God, and eternal life.
