¹⁵ And Jesus answering, said unto him, Suffer [it] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

⁶ Now they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord, blameless.

³⁴ Jesus saith unto them, My food is that I may do the will of him that sent me, and finish his work.

²⁹ And he that sent me, is with me: He hath not left me alone: for I do always those things that please him.

⁷ Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not yet, but thou shalt know hereafter. ⁸ Peter saith unto him, Lord, Thou shalt never wash [my] feet. Jesus answered, If I shall not wash thee, thou hast no part with me. ⁹ Peter saith unto him, Lord, not the feet only, but also the hands and the head.

¹⁵ For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

¹⁰ If ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I also have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in his love.

⁷ But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: ⁸ And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

²⁶ For such an high priest became us also, holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

²¹ For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps: ²² Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: ²³ Who when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatned not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously; ²⁴ Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to our sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose wound ye were healed.

⁶ He that saith he abideth in him, ought himself also to walk, even as he walked.
