¹⁴ And I my self also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye are full of goodness, and filled with all knowledge, able to admonish one another.

⁵ That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and all knowledge:

¹ Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

⁷ Howbeit [there is] not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour, eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak, is defiled:

¹⁰ For if any man see thee who hast knowledge sit at meat in the idols temple, shall not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols?

⁸ For to one is given by the Spirit, the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

² And though I have prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have no charity, I am nothing.

⁹ For the fruit of the light [is] in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth.

⁷ Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace,

¹¹ Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of Christ. [God.]

⁸ Who also hath declared unto us your love in the Spirit. ⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding: ¹⁰ That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the Knowledge of God;

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.

¹¹ Wherefore comfort your selves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

¹⁴ Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

⁵ When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

³ The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; ⁴ That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

²¹ Having confidence in thy obedience, I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

¹² For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the words of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

⁹ But beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though, we thus speak.

²⁴ And let us consider one another to provoke unto love, and to good works: ²⁵ Not forsaking the assembling of our selves together, as the manner of same [is]; but exhorting: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

⁵ And do ye give all diligence, add to your faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; ⁶ And to knowledge, temperance; and to temperance, patience; and to patience, godliness; ⁷ And to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, charity. ⁸ For if these things be present with you, and abound, they make [you] neither barren, nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹² Wherefore I will be ready to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

²¹ I have not written unto you, because ye know not the truth: but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

²⁰ But ye, beloved, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, ²¹ Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. ²² And reprove those that differ: ²³ And others save, pulling [them] out of the fire; but of some have compassion with fear, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
