⁹ These will receive the punishment of eternal destruction as exiles from the presence of the Lord and His glorious might,

²³ And then I will say to them openly, 'I never knew you at all. Go away from me, you who practiced doing wrong.'

²⁷ For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's splendor, with His angels, and then He will pay back to everyone in accordance with what he has done.

¹³ Then the king said to his attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot and throw him out into the darkness on the outside, where he will have to weep and grind his teeth.'

³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the nations of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky in overwhelming power and splendor.

⁴¹ "Then He will say to those at His left, 'Be gone from me, you who are now cursed, to the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

⁴⁶ Then these will go away to everlasting punishment, but the upright to everlasting life."

²⁴ The Son of Man is going away as the Scriptures say of Him, but a curse will be on that man by whom He is betrayed. It would have been better for that man, if he had never been born!"

⁴³ If your hand makes you do wrong, cut it off. ²⁵ But Abraham said, 'My child, remember that you received in full your blessings in your lifetime, and Lazarus his hardships in his, but now he is continuously comforted here, while you are continuously tortured there. ²⁶ Besides all this, between you and us there stands fixed a great chasm, so that those who want to cross from this side to you cannot, nor can they cross from your side to us.'

¹⁴ Afterward Jesus found him in the temple court, and said to him, "See! You are now well. Stop sinning or something worse may befall you."

¹⁹ Their doom is destruction, their stomach is their god, their glory is in their shame, and their minds are feeding on earthly things,

³ When people say, "Such peace and security!" then suddenly destruction falls upon them, like birth pains upon a woman who is about to become a mother, but they shall not escape, no, not at all.

⁸ Then the representative of lawlessness will be uncovered, and the Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of His mouth and put a stop to his operations by His appearance and coming;

¹³ while we are waiting for the realization of our blessed hope at the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Christ Jesus,

²⁹ How much severer punishment do you suppose that one deserves who tramples the Son of God underfoot, and counts as a common thing the blood of the covenant by which he was consecrated, and has insulted the Spirit that grants God's unmerited favor?

¹⁷ Such men are dried-up springs, clouds driven by the storm, and they are doomed to densest darkness.

⁷ But by the same command the present heavens and earth are stored up for fire and are kept for the day when godless men are to be doomed and destroyed.

¹³ wild waves of the sea foaming up their own shame; wandering stars that are forever doomed to utter darkness.

¹⁰ himself will have to drink the wine of God's vengeance, poured unmixed into the cup of His wrath, and be tortured with fire and brimstone before the eyes of the holy angels and the Lamb. ¹¹ The smoke of their torture will go up forever and ever, and they will have no rest day or night -- those who worship the wild beast and his statue, and anyone who bears the mark of his name."

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it, from whose presence earth and sky fled away, no more to be found.

¹⁴ Then death and the underworld were hurled into the fiery lake, This is the second death -- the fiery lake.

⁸ But the cowards, the unfaithful, the polluted, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the practicers of magic, the worshipers of idols, and all liars will have their portion in the lake that keeps on burning with fire and brimstone. This is the second death."

¹⁵ The dogs, that is, those who practice magic and immorality, murderers, idolaters, and those who love and practice lying, are on the outside.
