¹⁷ This girl kept following Paul and the rest of us, shrieking, "These men are slaves of the Most High God, and they are proclaiming to you a way of salvation."

¹³ "Go in by the narrow gate, for broad and roomy is the road that leads to destruction, and many are going in by it. ¹⁴ But narrow is the gate and hard is the road that leads to life, and few are they that find it.

²⁹ And they suddenly screamed, "What do you want of us, you Son of God? Have you come here before the appointed time to torture us?"

²⁴ "What do you want of us, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, God's Holy One!"

⁷ and screamed aloud, "What do you want of me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God's name, I beg you, do not torture me."

¹⁴ And they came up and said to Him, "We know that you always tell the truth, and pay no personal consideration to anyone, but teach the way of God honestly. Is it right to pay poll-tax to Caesar, or not?

⁷⁷ to give His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins.

³⁴ "Ha! What do you want of us, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are. You are God's Holy One."

⁴¹ Even demons came out of many people, shrieking and saying, "You are the Son of God!" But He reproved them and would not let them speak, because they knew that He was the Christ.

¹⁹ Since then, my brothers, we have free access to the real sanctuary through the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ the new and living way which He opened for us, through the curtain, that is, His physical nature, ²¹ and since in Him we have a Great Priest over the house of God, ²² let us continue to draw near to God with sincere hearts and perfect faith; with our hearts cleansed from the sense of sin, and our bodies bathed in clean water;

¹⁶ Live like free men, only do not make your freedom a pretext for doing evil, but live like slaves of God.
