²⁴ Yes, all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel down, have also foretold these days.

³⁷ It was this Moses who said to the descendants of Israel, 'God will raise up a prophet for you from among you, just as He did me.'

⁴³ To this very One all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in Him is to receive the forgiveness of sins through His name."

²⁷ For the people of Jerusalem and their leaders, because they were ignorant of Him, by condemning Him have actually fulfilled the utterances of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, ²⁸ and although they could not find Him guilty of a capital offense, they begged Pilate to have Him put to death. ²⁹ When they had carried out everything that had been written in the Scriptures about Him, they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a tomb. ³⁰ But God raised Him from the dead,

¹⁰ Then I fell before his feet to worship him, but he said to me, "You must take care not to do that. I am only a fellow-slave of yours and of your brothers who hold to the testimony borne by Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony borne by Jesus is the inspiring spirit of prophecy."
