² Ye are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men;

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is proclaimed in the whole world.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master-builder, I laid a foundation; and another builds thereon. But let each one take heed how he builds thereon;

¹ Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are ye not my work in the Lord? ² If to others I am not an apostle, yet to you at least I am; for the seal of my apostleship are ye in the Lord.

³ I say it not with the view to your condemnation; for I have said before that ye are in our hearts to die together and to live together.

¹¹ Wherefore? because I do not love you? God knoweth!

¹⁵ And I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I to be loved the less?

⁷ even as it is right for me to think this in behalf of you all; because ye have me in your heart, both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Gospel, all of you being partakers with me of the grace. ⁸ For from you has sounded forth the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith toward God has gone forth; so that we have no need to speak anything;
