¹⁷ and, if children, heirs also; heirs, indeed, of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if, indeed, we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified with Him. ¹⁸ For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are of no account in comparison with the glory about to be revealed for us.

³⁶ As it has been written, "For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

⁵ Because, as the sufferings of Christ abound toward us, so through Christ our consolation also abounds.

⁴ for, indeed, He was crucified through weakness, but He liveth through the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him through the power of God toward you.

¹⁷ Henceforth let no one occasion trouble to me; for I am bearing in my body the brand-marks of Jesus.

¹⁰ that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; ¹¹ if by any means I may attain to the out-resurrection from the dead.

²⁴ Now I rejoice in my sufferings in your behalf, and fill up in turn the deficiencies of the tribulations of Christ in my flesh for the sake of His body, which is the assembly;

¹¹ Faithful is the saying; for, if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him;

¹³ but, in so far as ye share in Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of His glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.
