¹ The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him, to show to His servants the things which must shortly come to pass; and, having sent, He signified them through His angel to His servant John; ² who testified of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, whatsoever things he saw. ³ Happy is he that reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things written therein; for the time is near. ⁴ John to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you, and peace, from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is coming; and from the seven Spirits Who are before His throne; ⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful Witness, the First-born of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him Who loveth, and loosed us from our sins in His own blood, ⁶ and made us a kingdom, and priests to God and His Father; to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. ⁷ Behold, He cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall lament over Him! Even so. Amen. ⁸ "I am the Alpha and the Omega," saith the Lord God, Who is, and Who was, and Who is coming, the Almighty. ⁹ I, John, your brother, and fellow-sharer in the tribulation, and kingdom, and patience in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos, because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. ¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day; and I heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet, ¹¹ saying, "What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven assemblies; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea." ¹² And I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me; and, having turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; ¹³ and, in the midst of the candlesticks, One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girded at the breasts with a golden girdle. ¹⁴ And His head and hair were white as white wool, as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire; ¹⁵ and His feet like burnished brass, as if glowing in a furnace; and His voice as the voice of many waters; ¹⁶ and having in His right hand seven stars; and a sharp, two-edged sword proceeding out of His mouth; and His countenance was as the sun shining in his power. ¹⁷ And, when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead! And He laid His right hand on me, saying, "Fear not; I am the First and the Last, ¹⁸ and the Living One; and I was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore; and I have the keys of death and of Hades. ¹⁹ Write, therefore, the things which you saw, and the things which are, and the things which are about to take place after these; ²⁰ the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of seven assemblies; and the seven candlesticks are seven assemblies."

³² What He hath seen, and what He heard, of this He bears testimony; and no man receives His testimony.

²⁶ I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. But He Who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him, these I speak to the world."

⁴⁹ For I spake not from Myself; but the Father, Who sent Me, Himself hath given Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

¹⁵ No longer do I call you slaves; because the slave knows not what his lord is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things which I heard from My Father I made known to you.

⁸ because the words which Thou gavest Me I have given to them, and they received them, and knew truly that I came forth from Thee, and believed that Thou didst send Me.

²⁵ Now to Him Who is able to establish you, according to my Gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept in silence during eternal ages,

¹² for neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through revelation of Jesus Christ.

³ that by revelation was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief;

¹⁹ Write, therefore, the things which you saw, and the things which are, and the things which are about to take place after these;

¹ After these things I saw, and, behold, a door opened in Heaven; and the first voice which I heard was as a voice of a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up hither, and I will show you the things which must take place after these."

² And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

⁶ And he said to me, "These words are faithful and true; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His servants the things which must shortly come to pass.

¹⁶ "I, Jesus, sent My angel to testify to you these things to the assemblies. I am the root and offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.

³² And John testified, saying, "I have beheld the Spirit descending as a dove out of Heaven, and He abode upon Him.

¹¹ Verily, verily, I say to you, We speak that which We know, and testify to that which We have seen; and ye receive not Our testimony.

¹⁷ The multitude, therefore, that was with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, was bearing testimony.

³⁵ And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he says what is true, that ye also may believe.

²⁴ This is the disciple who testifies concerning these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

²⁰ for we cannot but speak the things which we saw and heard."

¹⁵ because you shall be a witness for Him, to all men, of what you have seen, and heard.

¹⁶ But arise, and stand upon your feet; for I appeared to you for this end, to appoint you a minister and a witness both of the things in which you saw Me, and of the things in which I will appear to you;

⁶ even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you;

¹ And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God;

¹ That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we gazed upon, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life

¹⁴ And we have beheld, and testify, that the Father hath sent the Son, as Savior of the world.

⁷ And the Spirit is He Who beareth witness, because the Spirit is the Truth: ⁸ because there are Three Who bear witness; the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the Three agree in one. ⁹ If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; because this is the testimony of God, that He hath testified concerning His Son. ¹⁰ He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself; he that believes not God has made Him a liar; because he has not believed in the testimony that God testified concerning His Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

¹² To Demetrius testimony has been borne by all, and by the truth itself; and we also bear testimony, and you know that our testimony is true.

⁹ And, when He opened the fifth seal, I saw, underneath the altar, the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they were holding.

¹¹ and they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony, and they loved not their soul, even to death.

¹⁷ And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus;

²⁸ But He said, "Yea, rather, happy are those who hear the word of God, and keep it!"

¹¹ And this, knowing the season, that it is time already for you to be aroused out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when ye believed.

⁸ Be ye also patient; establish your hearts, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near. ⁹ Murmur not against one another, brethren, that ye be not judged: behold, The Judge has taken His stand before the doors!

⁷ But the end of all things has drawn near; be ye, therefore, of sound mind, and be sober unto prayers;

⁸ But, beloved, let not this one thing escape you, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

⁶ And he said to me, "These words are faithful and true; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His servants the things which must shortly come to pass. ⁷ And, behold, I come quickly! Happy is he that keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

¹⁰ And he says to me, "Seal not up the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is at hand.

¹² "Behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to render to each one according as his work is.

²⁰ He Who testifieth these things saith, "Yea; I come quickly." Amen; come, Lord Jesus!

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

¹⁰ And this continued for two years; so that all those dwelling in Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

⁷ to all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints: Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

³ Grace be to you, and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are diversities of ministries, and the same Lord. ⁶ And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, Who worketh all things in all. ⁷ And to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for profiting. ⁸ For to one, indeed, is given through the Spirit a word of wisdom; and to another, a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; ⁹ to another, faith, in the same Spirit; and to another, gifts of healings, in the one Spirit; ¹⁰ and to another, workings of mighty deeds; and to another, prophecy; and to another, discerning of spirits; to another, various kinds of tongues; and to another, interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ But all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, distributing to each one, severally, even as He willeth. ¹² For, as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is the Christ; ¹³ for, indeed, in one Spirit were we all immersed into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.

² Grace be to you, and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ and, "Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of Thy hands. ¹¹ They shall perish, but Thou continuest; and they will all become old as does a garment; ¹² and as a mantle Thou wilt roll them up, as a garment also they shall be changed; but Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail." ¹³ But to whom of the angels hath He ever said, "Sit on My right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?"

⁸ Jesus Christ is yesterday and today the same—and forever.

¹⁷ Every good gift, and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with Whom there is no variableness or shadow cast by turning.

¹ Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ to the sojourners of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, ² elect according to the fore-knowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: grace to you, and peace be multiplied.

⁸ "And to the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write these things," saith the First and the Last, Who became dead, and lived:

¹² "And to the angel of the assembly in Pergamum write these things," saith He Who hath the sharp, two-edged sword:

¹⁸ "And to the angel of the assembly in Thyatira write these things." saith the Son of God, Who hath His eyes as a flame of fire, and His feet like burnished brass:

¹ "And to the angel of the assembly in Sardis write these things," saith He Who hath the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name that you are living, and you are dead.

⁷ "And to the angel of the assembly in Philadelphia write these things," saith He Who is holy, He Who is true, He Who hath the key of David, He Who openeth, and no one shall shut; and shutteth, and no one opens:

¹⁴ "And to the angel of the assembly in Laodicea write these things," saith the Amen, the Faithful and the True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:

⁵ And out of the throne proceed lightnings and voices and thunderings; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;

⁸ And the four living creatures, having each one of them six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and they have no rest, day and night, saying, "Holy! Holy! Holy! the Lord God, the Almighty, Who was, and Who is, and Who is coming!"

⁶ And I saw, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

¹⁸ And Jesus, coming near, spake to them, saying, "All authority was given to Me in Heaven and on earth:

¹⁴ Jesus answered and said to them, "Even if I do testify concerning Myself, My testimony is true; because I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye know not whence I came, or whither I go. ¹⁵ Ye judge according to the flesh; I judge no man. ¹⁶ But, even if I judge, My judgment is true; because I am not alone, but I and the Father Who sent Me.

¹ Now, before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour came that He should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

⁸ Peter says to Him, "Thou shalt never wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I wash you not, you have no part with Me." ⁹ Simon Peter says to Him, "Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head." ¹⁰ Jesus saith to him, "He who has bathed has no need, except to wash his feet, but is wholly clean; and ye are clean, but not all;"

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; even as I loved you, that ye love one another.

⁹ Even as the Father loved Me, I also loved you; abide in My love.

³⁷ Pilate, therefore, said to Him, "Art Thou, then, a King?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a King. To this end have I been born, and to this end have I come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears My voice."

²⁸ Take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock in which the Holy Spirit appointed you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God, which He purchased with His own blood.

²³ that the Christ was destined to suffer; that He, first out of a resurrection of the dead, is destined to declare light both to the people and to the gentiles."

³⁷ Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us.

¹¹ And such were some of you; but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

²⁰ But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the First fruit of those who have fallen asleep. ²¹ For since through man came death, through Man came also the resurrection of the dead. ²² For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive; ²³ but each in his own rank; Christ, the First-fruit; then those who are Christ's at His coming.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ; and no longer am I living, but Christ is living in me; and, in so far as I am now living in flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.

²⁰ which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the Heavenly places, ²¹ far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that to come; ²² and He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as Head over all things to the assembly,

⁴ but God, being rich in mercy, on account of His great love wherewith He loved us,

² and walk in love, as Christ also loved you, and delivered Himself up for you, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of sweet smell.

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the assembly, and delivered Himself up for it, ²⁶ that He might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of the water in the word, ²⁷ that He might present to Himself the assembly, glorious, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing, but that it may be holy and without blemish.

¹⁸ And He is the Head of the body, the assembly; Who is the Beginning, the First-born from the dead, that in all things He may be preeminent;

¹³ I charge you before God who preserves alive all things, and Christ Jesus Who before Pontius Pilate testified a good confession,

¹⁵ which in His own times the Happy and Only Potentate will show, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

¹⁴ how much more shall the blood of Christ, Who through the Eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot;

⁷ but, if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with One another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

¹⁰ Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son, to be a propitiation for our sins.

⁷ And the Spirit is He Who beareth witness, because the Spirit is the Truth: ⁸ because there are Three Who bear witness; the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the Three agree in one. ⁹ If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; because this is the testimony of God, that He hath testified concerning His Son. ¹⁰ He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself; he that believes not God has made Him a liar; because he has not believed in the testimony that God testified concerning His Son.

¹⁴ And I have said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are those who come out of the great tribulation; and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in Heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world became our Lord's and His Christ's; and He will reign forever and ever."

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them; because He is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful."

¹⁶ And He hath on His garment, and on His thigh, a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

¹³ And bring us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.'

²³ that all may honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He that honors not the Son honors not the Father Who sent Him.

³⁶ Because, of Him, and through Him, and for Him, are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

⁶ that with one accord ye may, with one mouth, glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹¹ and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁶ Who only hath immortality, inhabiting light unapproachable, Whom no man ever saw or is able to see; to Whom be honor and dominion eternal. Amen.

²¹ make you perfect in every good thing to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to Whom be the glory forever. Amen.

⁵ ye yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ⁶ Because it is contained in Scripture, "Behold, I lay in Zion a Chief Corner-Stone, Elect, Precious; and he who believes on Him shall in nowise be put to shame." ⁷ To you, therefore, who believe is the preciousness; but to those who disbelieve, a stone which the builders rejected, this was made into a head of a corner," ⁸ and "a stone of stumbling, and rock of offense"; who stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which also they were appointed. ⁹ But ye are "an elect race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation," a people for a possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

¹¹ if anyone speaks, as uttering the oracles of God; if anyone ministers, ministering as of the strength which God supplieth; that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to Whom is the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

¹¹ To Him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever.

²⁵ to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time, and now, and forever and ever. Amen.

¹¹ "Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power; because Thou didst create all things; and, because of Thy will, they were, and were created."

¹⁰ and didst make them, to our God, a Kingdom and priests, and they reign on the earth."

¹² saying with a great voice, "Worthy is the Lamb Who hath been slain, to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might, and honor, and glory, and blessing!" ¹³ And every created thing which is in Heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying, "To Him Who sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the might, forever and ever!" ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, "Amen." And the elders fell down and worshiped.

⁶ Happy and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

³⁰ and then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven; and then will all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

⁶⁴ Jesus saith to him, "You said it: nevertheless I say to you, henceforth ye shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."

²⁶ And then will they see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

⁶² And Jesus said, "I am; and ye shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven."

²⁷ And then will they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud, with power and great glory.

²⁸ But, turning towards them, Jesus said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for Me; but weep for yourselves, and for your children; ²⁹ for, behold, the days are coming in which they will say, 'Happy the barren, and the wombs which bore not, and breasts that gave not suck.' ³⁰ Then will they begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us;' and to the hills, 'Cover us;'

³⁴ but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and straightway there came out blood and water.

³⁷ And again another Scripture says, "They shall look on Him Whom they pierced."

⁹ And, having said these things, while they were beholding, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him from their sight. ¹⁰ And, as they were gazing intently into the heaven, while He was ascending, behold, also two men stood by them in white apparel, ¹¹ who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do ye stand looking into the heaven? This Jesus, Who was taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye beheld Him ascending into Heaven."

¹⁰ and to wait for His Son from Heaven, Whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, Who delivers us from the coming wrath.

¹⁷ after that we, the living who are left over, will be caught up together with them in clouds, into the air, to meet the Lord; and so shall we always be with the Lord.

⁶ and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they are crucifying to themselves the Son of God afresh, and putting Him to open shame.

²⁹ of how much worse punishment, think ye, shall he be accounted worthy, who trampled under foot the Son of God, and accounted the blood of the covenant with which He was sanctified an unholy thing, and treated with contempt the Spirit of grace?

² Beloved, now are we children of God, and never yet was it manifested what we shall be. We know that, if He shall be manifested, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.

¹⁴ And to these also Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord came with His holy myriads,

¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the magnates, and the commanders of thousands, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains; ¹⁶ and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him Who is sitting on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; ¹⁷ because the great day of their wrath came, and who is able to stand?"

¹⁴ And I saw, and, behold, a white cloud; and upon the cloud, One sitting, like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown; and, in His hand, a sharp sickle. ¹⁵ And another angel came forth out of the Temple, crying with a great voice to Him Who was sitting upon the cloud, "Send forth Thy sickle, and reap; because the hour to reap came, because the harvest of the earth was fully dried. ¹⁶ And He Who was sitting upon the cloud sent forth His sickle, and the earth was reaped.

¹⁵ The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, shall stand afar off because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning, ¹⁶ saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city, which was attired in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and was gilded with gold, and precious stone, and pearl; ¹⁷ because in one hour so great wealth was made desolate!' And every ship-master, and every one sailing to any place, and mariners, and as many as do business at sea, stood afar off; ¹⁸ and they cried out, when beholding the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What city is like the great city?' ¹⁹ And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city, wherein all who have ships in the sea became rich by reason of her costliness! because in one hour she was made desolate. ²⁰ Rejoice over her, O Heaven, and ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets; because God judged your judgment on her.'

¹ After these things I heard as it were a great voice of a great multitude in Heaven, saying, "Hallelujah! the salvation, and the glory, and the power, are our God's; ² because true and righteous are His judgments; because He judged the great harlot; who, indeed, corrupted the earth with her fornication, and He avenged the blood of His servants at her hand." ³ And a second time they say, "Hallelujah!" And her smoke ascends forever and ever.

⁴ and they will see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.

¹⁸ and I will be to you a Father, and ye shall be My sons and daughters." saith the Lord Almighty.

⁴ John to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you, and peace, from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is coming; and from the seven Spirits Who are before His throne;

¹⁷ And, when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead! And He laid His right hand on me, saying, "Fear not; I am the First and the Last,

¹⁷ saying, "We give thanks to Thee, O Lord God, the Almighty, Who art, and Who wast; because Thou hast taken Thy great power, and didst reign.

¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, working signs; which go forth unto the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.

¹⁵ And out of His mouth proceeds a sharp sword, that with it He may smite the nations, and He will govern them with a rod of iron; and He treadeth the wine-press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.

⁶ And He said to me, "It has come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give to him that thirsted of the fountain of the water of life freely.

²² And I saw no temple in it; for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple thereof.

¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

³³ These things have I spoken to you, that in Me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to abide in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the Kingdom of God.

⁷ to those who, by patience in well-doing, are seeking for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life; ⁸ but to those who are contentious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there shall be wrath and indignation,

³ And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations; knowing that tribulation works out patience; ⁴ and patience, approval; and approval, hope;

¹⁷ and, if children, heirs also; heirs, indeed, of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if, indeed, we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified with Him.

²⁵ But, if we hope for that which we see not, we wait for it with patience.

⁹ For, I think, God did set forth us the apostles last, as doomed to death; because we became a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. ¹⁰ We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are highly esteemed; but we are without honor. ¹¹ Even until this present hour, we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place; ¹² and we toil, laboring with our own hands; being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; ¹³ being defamed, we entreat; we were made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things, until now.

⁷ even as it is right for me to think this in behalf of you all; because ye have me in your heart, both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Gospel, all of you being partakers with me of the grace.

¹⁴ Notwithstanding, ye did well, in sharing with me in my tribulation.

⁴ so that we ourselves glory in you in the assemblies of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations which ye endure; ⁵ a proof of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that ye may be accounted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer;

⁵ And the Lord guide your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.

⁸ Be not ashamed, therefore, of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner; but suffer hardship with me for the Gospel, according to the power of God,

³ Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. ⁴ No one, serving as a soldier, entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier. ⁵ And, if also one contends in the games, he is not crowned, unless he contends lawfully. ⁶ The toiling husbandman must first partake of the fruits. ⁷ Consider what I am saying; for the Lord will give you discernment in all things. ⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, of the seed of David, according to my Gospel; ⁹ wherein I am suffering hardship, even to bonds, as a malefactor; but the Word of God has not become bound. ¹⁰ Therefore, I suffer all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. ¹¹ Faithful is the saying; for, if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him; ¹² if we endure, we shall also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He will also deny us;

³⁶ For ye have need of patience, that, after having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

⁷ Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth; being patient over it, until it receives the early and latter rain. ⁸ Be ye also patient; establish your hearts, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near.

² who testified of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, whatsoever things he saw.

⁹ "I know your tribulation, and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. ¹⁰ Fear not the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the Devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

¹⁰ Because you kept the word of My patience. I also will keep you from the hour of trial, which is about to come upon the whole inhabited earth, to try those who dwell upon the earth.

⁷ And when they finish their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.

¹⁰ If anyone is for captivity, into captivity he goes; if anyone shall kill with a sword, with a sword he must be killed. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

¹² Here is the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

¹⁰ And I fell down before his feet to worship him. And he says to me, "See that you do it not: I am a fellow-servant of you and of your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

⁴³ He saith to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying,

¹⁹ When, therefore, it was evening, on that day, the first day of sabbaths; and, when, through fear of the Jews, the doors were shut, where the disciples were; Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith to them, "Peace be to you!"

²⁶ And, after eight days, again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace be to you!"

¹⁰ And he became very hungry, and wished to eat; and, while they were making ready, there came upon him a trance; ¹¹ and he beholds the heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending, as a great sheet, let down by four corners upon the earth; ¹² in which were all the four-footed beasts, and creeping things of the earth, and birds of the heaven. ¹³ And there came a voice to him, "Arising, Peter, kill and eat." ¹⁴ But Peter said, "By no means, Lord! because never at any time did I eat anything common or unclean." ¹⁵ And a voice came to him again, a second time, "What God cleansed, count not common." ¹⁶ Now this happened three times, and straightway the vessel was taken up into heaven. ¹⁷ Now, as Peter was much perplexed in himself as to what the vision which he saw might mean, behold, the men who were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon's house, stood at the gate; ¹⁸ and, calling, were inquiring whether Simon who was surnamed Peter, was lodging there. ¹⁹ And, while Peter was earnestly considering the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are seeking you. ²⁰ But, arising, go down, and journey with them, nothing doubting; because I have sent them." ²¹ And Peter, going down to the men, said, "Behold, I am he whom ye are seeking; what is the cause for which ye are present?" ²² And they said, "Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man, and one fearing God, well reported of also by all the nation of the Jews, was divinely warned by a holy angel to send for you to his house, and to hear words from you." ²³ Having called them in, therefore, he lodged them. And, on the morrow, arising, he went with them; and some of the brethren from Joppa went with him. ²⁴ And on the following day they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius was expecting them, having called together his kinsmen and near friends. ²⁵ And when it came to pass that Peter entered, Cornelius, meeting him, and falling at his feet, worshipped him. ²⁶ But Peter raised him up, saying, "Stand up! I myself also am a man." ²⁷ And, while talking with him, he entered, and finds many who had come together; ²⁸ and he says to them, "Ye know that it is unlawful for a Jew to join himself with, or come to, one of another race; and yet God showed me that I should call no man common or unclean. ²⁹ Wherefore, also, having been sent for, I came without gainsaying. I ask, therefore, with what intent ye sent for me." ³⁰ And Cornelius said, "Four days ago, until this hour, I was praying during the ninth hour in my house; and, behold, a man stood before me in bright apparel, ³¹ and says, 'Cornelius, your prayer was heard, and your alms were remembered before God. ³² Send, therefore, to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is surnamed Peter; the same is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.' ³³ At once, therefore, I sent to you; and you did well, in coming. Now, therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things that have been commanded you by the Lord."

⁷ And on the first day of the sabbaths, we having come together to break bread, Paul was discoursing to them (being about to depart on the morrow), and continued the discourse until midnight.

² On the first day of the sabbaths, let each one of you lay by him, treasuring it up, as he may prosper, that no collections be made, when I come.

² I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body I know not, or whether out of the body I know not, God knoweth), such a one caught up even to the Third Heaven. ³ And I know such a man (whether in the body, or apart from the body, I know not, God knoweth), ⁴ that he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unutterable sayings, which it is not lawful for a man to speak.

¹ After these things I saw, and, behold, a door opened in Heaven; and the first voice which I heard was as a voice of a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up hither, and I will show you the things which must take place after these." ² Straightway I was in the Spirit, and, behold, there was a throne set in Heaven, and One sitting upon the throne;

³ and he cried with a great voice, as a lion roars; and, when he cried, the seven thunders uttered their voices. ⁴ And, when the seven thunders spake, I was about to write; and I heard a voice out of Heaven, saying, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders spake, and write them not." ⁵ And the angel, whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land, lifted up his right hand to Heaven, ⁶ and swore by Him Who liveth forever and ever, Who created the heaven and the things therein, and the earth and the things therein, and the sea and the things therein, that there shall be delay no longer; ⁷ but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God was also finished, according to the good news He proclaimed to His servants the prophets. ⁸ And the voice which I heard from Heaven, I heard again, talking with me, and saying, "Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel, who is standing upon the sea and upon the land."

³ And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored beast, full of the names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the city, the holy Jerusalem, coming down out of the Heaven from God,

¹⁹ And they came down to Ephesus, and he left them there; but he himself, entering into the synagogue, reasoned with the Jews. ²⁰ And, though they asked him to remain a longer time with them, he consented not; ²¹ but, taking leave of them, and saying, "I will return to you again, God willing," he sailed from Ephesus;

²⁴ Now a certain Jew, Apollos by name, an Alexandrian by birth, a learned man, came down to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures.

¹ And it came to pass, while Apollos was in Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper districts, came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples; ² and he said to them, "Did ye receive the Holy Spirit, after having believed?" And they said to him, "Nay, we did not even hear whether there is a Holy Spirit." ³ And he said, "Into what, then, were ye immersed?" And they said, "Into John's immersion." ⁴ And Paul said, "John immersed with an immersion of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him coming after him; that is, on Jesus." ⁵ And, having heard this, they were immersed into the name of the Lord Jesus; ⁶ and, Paul having laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they were speaking with tongues, and prophesying. ⁷ And all the men were about twelve. ⁸ And, entering into the synagogue, he was speaking boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading as to the things concerning the Kingdom of God. ⁹ But, when some were hardening themselves and were disbelieving, speaking evil of the Way before the multitude, he, withdrawing from them, separated the disciples; reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. ¹⁰ And this continued for two years; so that all those dwelling in Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks. ¹¹ And God kept performing special miracles through the hands of Paul; ¹² So that there were even carried from his body to the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out. ¹³ But some also of the wandering Jews, exorcists, attempted to name over those having evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, "I adjure you by the Jesus Whom Paul preaches." ¹⁴ Now there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish high priest, who did this. ¹⁵ And the evil spirit, answering, said to them, "Jesus I know, and Paul I understand; but who are ye?" ¹⁶ And the man in whom was the evil spirit, leaping upon them, and, overcoming them both, prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. ¹⁷ And this became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who were dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was being magnified. ¹⁸ Many also of those who had believed were coming, confessing, and declaring their practices. ¹⁹ A considerable number, moreover, of those who had practiced the curious arts, having brought together the books, were burning them in the presence of all; and they counted the prices of them, and found them fifty thousand pieces of silver. ²⁰ So mightily grew the word of God, and prevailed. ²¹ Now, when these things were ended, Paul purposed in his spirit, after passing through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem; saying, "After I have been there, I must see Rome also." ²² And, having sent into Macedonia two of those ministering to him, Timothy and Erastus, he himself remained for a time in Asia. ²³ And about that time there arose no small stir concerning the Way. ²⁴ For a certain one, Demetrius by name, a silver-smith, making silver shrines of Diana, was bringing to the artisans no small business; ²⁵ gathering whom together, and the workmen of like occupation, be said, "Men, ye know that out of this business we have our wealth. ²⁶ And ye perceive and hear that, not only at Ephesus, but almost in all Asia, this Paul, having persuaded, turned away a great multitude, saying, that they are not gods that are made with hands. ²⁷ And not only is there danger to us that this branch of our business will come into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana be reckoned of no account, and also her magnificence will be destroyed, whom all Asia and the inhabited earth worship." ²⁸ And, hearing this, and becoming full of wrath, they were crying aloud, saying, "Great is Diana of the Ephesians!" ²⁹ And the city was filled with the confusion; and they rushed with one accord into the theater, having seized Gaius and Aristarchus—Macedonians—fellow-travelers of Paul. ³⁰ And, Paul purposing to enter in unto the people, the disciples were not permitting him. ³¹ And some also of the chief men of Asia, being his friends, sending to him, were beseeching him not to venture himself into the theater. ³² Some, therefore, were crying one thing, and some another; for the assembly had become confused, and the greater part knew not for what cause they had come together. ³³ And they brought Alexander out of the crowd, the Jews thrusting him forward. And Alexander, waving his hand, wished to make defense to the people. ³⁴ But, when they perceived that he was a Jew, one voice arose from all, crying aloud for about two hours, "Great is Diana of the Ephesians!" ³⁵ But the town-clerk, having quieted the multitude, says, "Men of Ephesus, who, indeed, of men is there that does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple-keeper of the great Diana, and of the image that fell down from Jupiter? ³⁶ These things, therefore, being incontrovertible, it is needful that ye be quiet, and do nothing rash. ³⁷ For ye brought hither these men, who are neither temple-robbers nor blasphemers of our goddess. ³⁸ If, indeed, therefore, Demetrius and the artisans with him have a matter against any one, court-days are held, and there are proconsuls; let them accuse one another. ³⁹ But, if ye seek anything about other matters, it shall be determined in the lawful assembly. ⁴⁰ For, indeed, we are in danger of being accused of riot respecting this day, there existing no cause for it, and regarding which we will be unable to give an account of this concourse." ⁴¹ And, having thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

¹⁷ And, having sent from Miletus to Ephesus, he called for the elders of the assembly.

³² If in human fashion I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what is the profit to me? If the dead rise not; "Let us eat and drink; for to-morrow we die."

⁸ But I will remain at Ephesus until the Pentecost;

¹ Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to the saints who are in Ephesus, and the faithful in Christ Jesus:

¹⁵ Salute the brethren in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the assembly in her house. ¹⁶ And, when the letter may be read among you, cause that it be read also in the assembly of the Laodiceans, and that ye also read the one from Laodicea.

³ As I exhorted you to continue in Ephesus, when I was journeying into Macedonia, that you might charge certain ones not to teach a different doctrine,

¹⁹ Write, therefore, the things which you saw, and the things which are, and the things which are about to take place after these;

⁴ And, when the seven thunders spake, I was about to write; and I heard a voice out of Heaven, saying, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders spake, and write them not."

¹³ And I heard a voice from Heaven, saying, "Write: Happy are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth! Yea," saith the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them."

⁹ And he says to me, "Write, Happy are those who have been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb." And he says to me, "These are true words of God."

⁵ And He Who sits upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He saith to me, "Write; because these words are faithful and true."

¹³ and, in the midst of the candlesticks, One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girded at the breasts with a golden girdle.

⁷ but emptied Himself, taking a slave's form, coming to be in the likeness of men; ⁸ and, being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

¹⁴ Since, therefore, the children have partaken of blood and flesh, He Himself also in like manner took part of the same; that, through death, He might bring to nought him who had the power of death, that is, the Devil; ¹⁵ and might release all those who, through fear of death, were all their lifetime subject to bondage. ¹⁶ For surely He doth not succor angels, but He succoreth Abraham's seed. ¹⁷ Wherefore, it behooved Him in all things to be made like His brethren, that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people;

¹⁵ for we have not a High Priest, unable to sympathize with our infirmities, but One Who hath been tempted in all points like as we, apart from sin.

¹⁴ And I saw, and, behold, a white cloud; and upon the cloud, One sitting, like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown; and, in His hand, a sharp sickle.

⁶ and there came out of the Temple the seven angels that had the seven plagues, clothed with linen pure and white, and girded about the breasts with golden girdles.

³ And his appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow;

¹² And His eyes are as a flame of fire; and on His head are many diadems; having a name written which no one knows but Himself;

² And I heard a voice out of Heaven, as a voice of many waters, and as a voice of great thunder; and the voice which I heard was as that of harpers, harping with their harps.

⁶ And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunders, saying, "Hallelujah! because the Lord our God, the Almighty, became King!

² and He was transfigured before them; and His face shone as the sun, and His garments became white as the light.

¹³ at midday, O King, I saw, in the way, a light from Heaven above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and those journeying with me.

¹⁷ And receive the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

¹² For the word of God is living, and effectual, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to a dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

¹⁶ Repent, therefore, or else I am coming to you quickly, and will make war with them with the sword of My mouth.

¹ And I saw another strong angel, descending out of Heaven, clothed with a cloud, and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire.

¹ And a great sign was seen in the heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;

²¹ And the rest were killed with the sword of Him Who was sitting on the horse, the sword that went forth out of His mouth; and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

² and He was transfigured before them; and His face shone as the sun, and His garments became white as the light. ³ And, behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah talking with Him. ⁴ And Peter, answering, said to Jesus," Lord, it is good that we are here. If Thou wilt, I will make here three tents—one for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah." ⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And, behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in Whom I delighted; hear Him." ⁶ And the disciples, hearing it, fell on their face, and were exceedingly afraid. ⁷ And Jesus came near, and, touching them, said, "Arise, and be not afraid."

⁴ and, from fear of him, those keeping watch were shaken, and became as dead.

⁵ And, entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe; and they were amazed. ⁶ But he says to them; "Be not amazed. Ye are seeking Jesus the Nazarene, the crucified. He arose; He is not here; behold, the place where they laid Him!

³⁷ But, being terrified and frightened, they were supposing that they were beholding a spirit. ³⁸ And He said to them, "Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do questionings arise in your heart? ³⁹ See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; handle Me, and see; because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as ye behold Me having."

²³ There was at the table reclining in Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.

²⁰ Peter, turning about, sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also at the Supper leaned back on Jesus' breast, and said, "Lord, who is he that betrays Thee?"

¹⁹ I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; and whatsoever you shall bind on the earth shall have been bound in Heaven, and whatsoever you shall loose on the earth shall have been loosed in Heaven."

¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world beholds Me no more; but ye behold Me; because I live, ye shall live also.

⁹ knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dieth no more; death no more has dominion over Him.

⁸ For, if we live, we live to the Lord; and, if we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live, therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. ⁹ For to this end Christ died, and lived, that He might be Lord of both dead and living.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ is constraining us; having judged this, that One died for all; consequently, they all died: ¹⁵ and He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to Him Who died for them, and rose again.

⁴ for, indeed, He was crucified through weakness, but He liveth through the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him through the power of God toward you.

³ for ye died, and your life has been hid with Christ in God.

³ Who, being an effulgence of His glory and an exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made a purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

¹⁶ Who hath been made Priest, not according to a law of a carnal commandment, but according to the power of an endless life;

²⁵ Whence also He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, since He is ever living to intercede in their behalf.

² looking away to the Author and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus; Who, in consideration of the joy lying before Him, endured the cross, despising shame, and hath taken a seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

⁹ And, when the living creatures shall give glory and honor and thanksgiving to Him Who sitteth on the throne—to Him Who liveth forever and ever,

¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, "Amen." And the elders fell down and worshiped.

¹ And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fallen out of the heaven to the earth, and there was given to him the key of the pit of the abyss.

¹ And I saw an angel coming down out of Heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain upon his hand. ² And he seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,

¹⁴ And Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire.

¹¹ saying, "What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven assemblies; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."

¹ After these things I saw, and, behold, a door opened in Heaven; and the first voice which I heard was as a voice of a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up hither, and I will show you the things which must take place after these." ² Straightway I was in the Spirit, and, behold, there was a throne set in Heaven, and One sitting upon the throne; ³ and He Who was sitting was, in appearance, like a jasper stone and a sardius; there was a rainbow round about the throne, in appearance, like an emerald; ⁴ and around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones twenty-four elders sitting, arrayed in white garments, and on their heads crowns of gold. ⁵ And out of the throne proceed lightnings and voices and thunderings; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God; ⁶ and before the throne, as it were a glassy sea like crystal; and, in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, four living creatures full of eyes before and behind. ⁷ And the first living creature was like a lion; and the second living creature like a calf; and the third living creature having a face as of a man; and the fourth living creature was like an eagle flying. ⁸ And the four living creatures, having each one of them six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and they have no rest, day and night, saying, "Holy! Holy! Holy! the Lord God, the Almighty, Who was, and Who is, and Who is coming!" ⁹ And, when the living creatures shall give glory and honor and thanksgiving to Him Who sitteth on the throne—to Him Who liveth forever and ever, ¹⁰ the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him Who sitteth on the throne, and will worship Him Who liveth forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ "Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power; because Thou didst create all things; and, because of Thy will, they were, and were created."

¹⁴ "Ye are the light of the world: a city, set upon a hill, cannot he hid. ¹⁵ Nor do they light a lamp, and put it under the measure, but on the lamp-stand; and it gives light to all who are in the house. ¹⁶ So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father Who is in Heaven.

¹¹ And He, answering, said to them, "Because to you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been given.

¹⁰ And He said, "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables; that, seeing, they may not see, and, hearing, they may not understand.

¹⁵ that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God, irreproachable in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye appear as luminaries in the world, ¹⁶ holding forth the word of life, for an occasion of glorying to me at the day of Christ, that I ran not in vain, neither labored in vain.

¹⁴ These things I write to you, hoping to come to you shortly; ¹⁵ but, if I delay, that you may know how you ought to behave yourself in a house of God, which, indeed, is an assembly of the living God, a pillar and basis of the truth, ¹⁶ And, confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifested in flesh, was justified in the Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

¹² And I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me; and, having turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; ¹³ and, in the midst of the candlesticks, One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girded at the breasts with a golden girdle.

¹⁶ and having in His right hand seven stars; and a sharp, two-edged sword proceeding out of His mouth; and His countenance was as the sun shining in his power.

¹ "To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write these things," saith He Who holdeth the seven stars in His right hand, He Who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks:
