²¹ you, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that men should not steal, do you steal?

¹³ And He saith to them, "It has been written, 'My house, shall be called a house of prayer; but ye are making it a den of robbers!'"

²³ And He said to them, "Ye will doubtless say to Me this parable, 'Physician, heal Thyself: whatsoever we heard of as done in Capernaum, do also here in Thy own country.'"

⁴⁶ And He said, "Woe to you lawyers, also! because ye burden men with burdens hard to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers!

⁴⁷ And that servant who knew his lord's will, and made not ready, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes;

²² He says to him, 'Out of your own mouth will I judge you, O evil servant! You knew that I am a harsh man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping where I did not sow;

²⁷ But I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage; lest, by any means, after having preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

¹³ For neither do those themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but they wish you to be circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

¹ But speak the things which become the healthful teaching; ² that aged men be temperate, grave, sober-minded, sound in faith, in love, in patience; ³ that aged women, in like manner, be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good; ⁴ that they may train the young women to be lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children, ⁵ to be sober, pure, workers at home, good, submitting themselves to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. ⁶ The younger men, in like manner, exhort to be sober-minded; ⁷ in all things showing yourself an example of good works; in teaching, showing incorruptness, gravity,
