¹⁶ For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with acclamation, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

²⁷ For the Son of man will come in the glory of his father, with his angels, and then he will recompense every one according to his practice.

³⁰ and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming as on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory: ³¹ and He will send forth his messengers with a trumpet of a loud voice, and they shall gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

³¹ So when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon his glorious throne:

⁶⁴ Jesus saith unto him, It is as thou hast said: and I tell you, hereafter ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.

¹¹ who said, Ye men of Galilee, why do ye stand gazing up to heaven? This Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in the manner ye have seen Him going into heaven.

²³ But each in their proper order: the first-fruits, Christ; afterwards they that are Christ's, at his coming.

⁵¹ Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep; but we shall all be changed in a moment, ⁵² in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet (for the trumpet shall sound) and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed:

⁷ and to you, who are in trouble, rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven,

¹ But as to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto Him,

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements being set on fire shall be dissolved, and the earth and the works therein shall be burnt up.

⁹ Whereas Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, did not presume to bring against him a railing accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke thee."

⁷ Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, even they that pierced Him: and all the tribes of the earth shall lament before Him. Even so, Amen!

¹⁰ Here I was in the Spirit on the Lord's-day: and heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet,

¹³ And I beheld, and heard an angel flying in the midst of heaven saying with a loud voice, Wo, wo, wo to the inhabitants on the earth from the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, that are yet to sound.

¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven, saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead, that die in the Lord, from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, for they rest from their labors and their works do follow them.

⁵ But the rest of the dead lived not again till the thousand years be finished. ⁶ This is the first resurrection. Happy and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on these the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
