³ And there appeared unto them divided tongues, as it were of fire, and it sat upon each of them:

¹¹ I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance; but He that cometh after me, is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry: He shall baptize you with the holy Spirit and with fire.

¹⁵ And Jesus answering said unto him, Permit it now; for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.

³² And He disappeared from them. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, as He was talking with us by the way, and while He was opening to us the scriptures?

³² And John testified saying, I saw the Spirit descending like a dove from heaven, and it abode upon Him. ³³ And I knew Him not: but He that sent me to baptize with water, said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on Him, the same is he that baptizeth with the Holy Spirit.

¹⁵ And in these days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, (now the number of the persons that were together was about an hundred and twenty,)

⁴ and they were all filled with the holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

¹¹ Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.

¹⁰ to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another the discerning of spirits; to another various kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

⁶ And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our several parts, defiling the whole body, inflaming the course of nature, and is set on fire by hell.

³ And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
