⁴ And if he trespass against thee seven times a day, and seven times in a day return to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

⁴⁴ but I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that abuse you and persecute you;

¹² and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;

¹⁴ For if ye forgive men their faults, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: ¹⁵ but if ye forgive not men their transgressions, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

¹⁶ but if he regard thee not, take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

²¹ Then Peter came to Him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother offend against me, and I forgive him? to seven times? ²² Jesus answereth him, I tell thee not, to seven times, but to seventy times seven.

³⁵ Thus will my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye forgive not every one his brother from your hearts their trespasses.

²⁰ Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

⁴ Charity beareth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity is not insolent, is not puffed up, ⁵ doth not behave indecently, is not selfish, is not easily provoked, ⁶ suspecteth no evil, rejoiceth not at injustice, but rejoiceth in the truth: ⁷ covereth all faults, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and fury, and clamor, and calumny, be put away from you, with all malice: and be kind one to another, ³² tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgiveth you.

¹² Put on therefore, as the elect of God holy and beloved, bowels of mercy, benignity, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering; ¹³ bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any one has a complaint against any: even as Christ hath forgiven you, so also do ye.

¹³ But be not you, my brethren, discouraged from well-doing. And if any obey not our order, ¹⁴ by this epistle, mark such a one, and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed.
