³² but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith may not fail; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

³ and said, Verily I declare unto you, unless ye be converted, and become like little children, ye shall never enter into the kingdom of heaven.

⁷⁵ And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, who had said to him, before the cock crow, thou wilt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

⁷² Then Peter called to mind the word which Jesus had said to him, Before the cock crow twice thou wilt deny me thrice. And he covered his face and wept.

⁷ But go, tell his disciples, and Peter particularly, that He is going before you into Galilee: there ye will see Him, as He told you.

¹³ And those on stony-ground are such as when they hear, receive the word with joy; but have no root, and so believe only for a while, and in the time of trial fall away.

⁶¹ And the Lord turned and looked upon Peter; and Peter called to mind the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, Before the cock crow thou wilt deny me thrice. ⁶² And Peter went out and wept bitterly.

¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world shall see me no more; but ye shall see me: and because I live, ye shall live also.

⁹ I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom Thou hast given me, for they are thine. ¹⁰ And all my concerns are thine, and thine are mine: and I am therefore glorified in them. ¹¹ And as I am to be no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to Thee, Holy Father, keep by thy name those whom Thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

¹⁵ I do not pray that Thou wouldest take them out of the world, but that thou wouldest keep them from the evil. ¹⁶ They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. ¹⁷ Sanctify them by thy truth: thy word is truth. ¹⁸ As Thou hast sent me into the world, so have I also sent them into the world. ¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified through the truth. ²⁰ Nor do I pray for these only, but for them also that shall believe on me through their word. ²¹ That they all may be one, as Thou, O Father, art in me, and I in Thee; that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

¹⁵ Now when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me more than these? He saith unto Him, Yes, Lord, Thou knowest that I love Thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. ¹⁶ He saith to him again the second time, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me? He saith unto Him, Yes, Lord, Thou knowest that I love Thee. ¹⁷ He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me? Peter was grieved, that He said to him the third time, Dost thou love me? And he said unto Him, Lord, Thou knowest all things, Thou knowest that I love Thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

¹⁹ Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out: that seasons of refreshing may come upon you from the presence of the Lord;

⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from wrath through Him. ¹⁰ For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more being reconciled shall we be saved by his life.

³² He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him freely give us all things?

³⁴ Who is he that condemneth? Is it Christ, that died for us? yea rather, that is risen again, who is also at the right hand of God, and who maketh intercession for us?

⁴ that we may be able to comfort those, that are in any trouble, by the consolation wherewith we ourselves are comforted by God. ⁵ For as the sufferings for the sake of Christ abound on us, so our consolation by Christ doth also abound. ⁶ And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is wrought out by the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or if we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

¹³ who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and an oppressor. But I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief: and the grace of our Lord superabounded, ¹⁴ with faith and love in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ It is a truth highly to be believed, and worthy to be received by all, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners:---of whom I am one of the chief. ¹⁶ But for this end I obtained mercy, that in me a chief sinner Jesus Christ might display his long-suffering, for an example to those who should afterwards believe on Him to eternal life.

¹⁸ saying that the resurrection is already past; and subvert the faith of some.

¹ Paul a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for promoting the faith of God's chosen people, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness:

²⁵ wherefore also He is able to save to the uttermost, those that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.

¹² Lift up therefore the hands that hang down, and strengthen the feeble knees. ¹³ And make strait paths for your feet, that what is lame may not be turned out of the way, but rather be healed.

¹⁵ looking to it, least there be any one falling short of the grace of God, least any root of bitterness springing up should be troublesome, and by it many be defiled:

¹ Peter an apostle of Jesus Christ to the strangers who are dispersed through Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia,

⁵ who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹³ Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober, and stedfastly hope for the grace to be conferred upon you at the appearing of Jesus Christ;

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; for your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: ⁹ whom resist, stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are endured by your brethren in the world. ¹⁰ But may the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a little while, make you perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

¹⁰ Wherefore, my brethren, be the more diligent thus to make your calling and election sure; for if ye do these things ye shall never fall. ¹¹ For so an entrance shall be administered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. ¹² Wherefore I will not neglect to put you always in mind of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the present truth.

¹⁴ Wherefore, beloved, seeing ye expect these things, give diligence to be found of Him in peace, spotless and blameless;

¹⁷ Do ye therefore, beloved, as ye know these things before, take heed least being seduced together with them by the error of the wicked, ye should fall from your own stedfastness. ¹⁸ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: to Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

¹ My little children, I write these things unto you, that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. ² And He is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been indeed of us, they would have continued with us; but this was done that they might be made manifest, because all, that are with us, are not indeed of us.
