²⁰ Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Him, together with her two sons, falling down before Him, and presenting a petition to Him.

¹¹ and coming into the house, they found the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshipped Him: and when they had opened their treasures, they brought Him presents, of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

²¹ And going on from thence He saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets;

And Jesus said unto them, The cup indeed which I drink, ye shall drink of; and with the baptism, that I am baptized with, shall ye be baptized: ⁴⁰ but to sit on my right hand and on my left, is not mine to give, but for whom it is prepared. ⁴¹ And when the other ten heard it, they were provoked at James and John. ⁴² But Jesus called them to Him, and said unto them, Ye know that those who rule among the Gentiles, lord it over them, and their grandees exercise authority upon them. ⁴³ But it shall not be so among you: but whoever would be great among you shall be your minister; ⁴⁴ and whoever of you would be first shall be servant of all. ⁴⁵ For the Son of man came not to be ministred unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many.
