2 Chronicles 11 And when Rehoboam had come to Jerusalem, he congregated of the house of Judah and Benjamin an hundred and eighty thousand chosen men, who were warriors, to fight against Israel, that he might bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam.

2 H1697 But the word H3068 of the LORD H8098 came to Shemaiah H376 the man H430 of God, H559 [H8800] saying,

3 H559 [H8798] Speak H7346 to Rehoboam H1121 the son H8010 of Solomon, H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H3478 and to all Israel H3063 in Judah H1144 and Benjamin, H559 [H8800] saying,

4 H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD, H5927 [H8799] Ye shall not go up, H3898 [H8735] nor fight H251 against your brethren: H7725 [H8798] return H376 every man H1004 to his house: H1697 for this thing H1961 [H8738] is done H8085 [H8799] by me. And they obeyed H1697 the words H3068 of the LORD, H7725 [H8799] and returned H3212 [H8800] from going H3379 against Jeroboam.

5 H7346 And Rehoboam H3427 [H8799] dwelt H3389 in Jerusalem, H1129 [H8799] and built H5892 cities H4692 for defence H3063 in Judah.

6 H1129 [H8799] He built H1035 even Bethlehem, H5862 and Etam, H8620 and Tekoa,

7 H1049 And Bethzur, H7755 and Shoco, H5725 and Adullam,

8 H1661 And Gath, H4762 and Mareshah, H2128 and Ziph,

9 H115 And Adoraim, H3923 and Lachish, H5825 and Azekah,

10 H6881 And Zorah, H357 and Aijalon, H2275 and Hebron, H3063 which are in Judah H1144 and in Benjamin H4694 fortified H5892 cities.

11 H2388 [H8762] And he fortified H4694 the strong holds, H5414 [H8799] and put H5057 captains H214 in them, and store H3978 of food, H8081 and of oil H3196 and wine.

22 H7346 And Rehoboam H5975 [H8686] made H29 Abijah H1121 the son H4601 of Maachah H7218 the chief, H5057 to be ruler H251 among his brethren: H4427 [H8687] for he thought to make him king.
