2 Samuel 9 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him mercy for Jonathan's sake?

1 H1732 And David H559 [H8799] said, H3426 Is there yet H3498 [H8738] any that is left H1004 of the house H7586 of Saul, H6213 [H8799] that I may show H2617 him mercy H3083 for Jonathan's sake?

2 H1004 And there was of the house H7586 of Saul H5650 a servant H8034 whose name H6717 was Ziba. H7121 [H8799] And when they had called H1732 him to David, H4428 the king H559 [H8799] said H6717 to him, Art thou Ziba? H559 [H8799] And he said, H5650 Thy servant is he.

3 H4428 And the king H559 [H8799] said, H657 Is there not H376 yet any H1004 of the house H7586 of Saul, H6213 [H8799] that I may show H2617 the mercy H430 of God H6717 to him? And Ziba H559 [H8799] said H4428 to the king, H3083 Jonathan H1121 hath yet a son, H5223 who is lame H7272 in his feet.

4 H4428 And the king H559 [H8799] said H375 to him, Where H6717 is he? And Ziba H559 [H8799] said H4428 to the king, H1004 Behold, he is in the house H4353 of Machir, H1121 the son H5988 of Ammiel, H3810 in Lodebar.

5 H4428 Then king H1732 David H7971 [H8799] sent, H3947 [H8799] and brought H1004 him from the house H4353 of Machir, H1121 the son H5988 of Ammiel, H3810 from Lodebar.

6 H4648 Now when Mephibosheth, H1121 the son H3083 of Jonathan, H1121 the son H7586 of Saul, H935 [H8799] had come H1732 to David, H5307 [H8799] he fell H6440 on his face, H7812 [H8691] and did reverence. H1732 And David H559 [H8799] said, H4648 Mephibosheth. H559 [H8799] And he answered, H5650 Behold thy servant!

7 H1732 And David H559 [H8799] said H3372 [H8799] to him, Fear H6213 [H8800] not: for I will surely H6213 [H8799] show H2617 thee mercy H3083 for the sake of Jonathan H1 thy father, H7725 [H8689] and will restore H7704 thee all the land H7586 of Saul H1 thy father; H398 [H8799] and thou shalt eat H3899 bread H7979 at my table H8548 continually.

8 H7812 [H8691] And he bowed H559 [H8799] himself, and said, H5650 What is thy servant, H6437 [H8804] that thou shouldest look H4191 [H8801] upon such a dead H3611 dog as I am?

9 H4428 Then the king H7121 [H8799] called H6717 to Ziba, H7586 Saul's H5288 servant, H559 [H8799] and said H5414 [H8804] to him, I have given H113 to thy master's H1121 son H1961 [H8804] all that pertained H7586 to Saul H1004 and to all his house.

10 H1121 Thou therefore, and thy sons, H5650 and thy servants, H5647 [H8804] shall till H127 the soil H935 [H8689] for him, and thou shalt bring H113 in the fruits, that thy master's H1121 son H3899 may have food H398 [H8804] to eat: H4648 but Mephibosheth H113 thy master's H1121 son H398 [H8799] shall eat H3899 bread H8548 always H7979 at my table. H6717 Now Ziba H2568 H6240 had fifteen H1121 sons H6242 and twenty H5650 servants.

11 H559 [H8799] Then said H6717 Ziba H4428 to the king, H113 According to all that my sovereign H4428 the king H6680 [H8762] hath commanded H5650 his servant, H5650 so shall thy servant H6213 [H8799] do. H4648 As for Mephibosheth, H398 [H8802] said the king, he shall eat H7979 at my table, H259 as one H4428 of the king's H1121 sons.

12 H4648 And Mephibosheth H6996 had a young H1121 son, H8034 whose name H4316 was Micha. H4186 And all that dwelt H1004 in the house H6717 of Ziba H5650 were servants H4648 to Mephibosheth.

13 H4648 So Mephibosheth H3427 [H8802] dwelt H3389 in Jerusalem: H398 [H8802] for he ate H8548 continually H4428 at the king's H7979 table; H6455 and was lame H8147 in both H7272 his feet.
