Exodus 33 And the LORD said to Moses, Depart, and go up from here, thou and the people which thou hast brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, To thy seed will I give it:

1 H3068 And the LORD H1696 [H8762] said H4872 to Moses, H3212 [H8798] Depart, H5927 [H8798] and go up H5971 from here, thou and the people H5927 [H8689] which thou hast brought H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt, H776 to the land H7650 [H8738] which I swore H85 to Abraham, H3327 to Isaac, H3290 and to Jacob, H559 [H8800] saying, H2233 To thy seed H5414 [H8799] will I give it:

2 H7971 [H8804] And I will send H4397 a messenger H6440 at the face of H1644 [H8765] thee; and I will drive out H3669 the Canaanite, H567 the Amorite, H2850 and the Hittite, H6522 and the Perizzite, H2340 the Hivite, H2983 and the Jebusite:

3 H776 To a land H2100 [H8802] flowing H2461 with milk H1706 and honey: H5927 [H8799] for I will not go up H7130 in the midst H7186 H6203 of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked H5971 people: H3615 [H8762] lest I consume H1870 thee in the way.

4 H5971 And when the people H8085 [H8799] heard H7451 these evil H1697 tidings, H56 [H8691] they mourned: H376 and no man H7896 [H8804] put H5716 on him his ornaments.

5 H3068 For the LORD H559 [H8799] had said H4872 to Moses, H559 [H8798] Say H1121 to the sons H3478 of Israel, H7186 H6203 Ye are a stiffnecked H5971 people: H5927 [H8799] I will come up H7130 into the midst H259 of thee in a H7281 moment, H3615 [H8765] and consume H3381 [H8685] thee: therefore now put off H5716 thy ornaments H3045 [H8799] from thee, that I may know H6213 [H8799] what to do to thee.

6 H1121 And the sons H3478 of Israel H5337 [H8691] stripped H5716 themselves of their ornaments H2022 by the mount H2722 Horeb.

7 H4872 And Moses H3947 [H8799] took H168 the tent, H5186 [H8804] and pitched H2351 it outside H4264 the camp, H7368 [H8687] far H4264 from the camp, H7121 [H8804] and called H168 it the Tent H4150 of meeting. H1245 [H8764] And it came to pass, that every one who sought H3068 the LORD H3318 [H8799] went out H168 to the tent H4150 of meeting, H2351 which was outside H4264 the camp.

8 H4872 And it came to pass, when Moses H3318 [H8800] went out H168 to the tent, H5971 that all the people H6965 [H8799] rose, H5324 [H8738] and stood H376 every man H168 at his tent H6607 door, H5027 [H8689] and looked H310 after H4872 Moses, H935 [H8800] until he had gone H168 into the tent.

9 H4872 And it came to pass, as Moses H935 [H8800] entered H168 into the tent, H6051 the cloudy H5982 pillar H3381 [H8799] descended, H5975 [H8804] and stood H6607 at the door H168 of the tent, H1696 [H8765] and the LORD talked H4872 with Moses.

10 H5971 And all the people H7200 [H8804] saw H6051 the cloudy H5982 pillar H5975 [H8802] stand H168 at the tent H6607 door: H5971 and all the people H6965 [H8804] rose H7812 [H8694] and worshipped, H376 every man H168 in his tent H6607 door.

11 H3068 And the LORD H1696 [H8765] spoke H4872 to Moses H6440 face H6440 to face, H376 as a man H1696 [H8762] speaketh H7453 to his friend. H7725 [H8804] And he turned again H4264 into the camp: H8334 [H8764] but his servant H3091 Joshua, H1121 the son H5126 of Nun, H5288 a young man, H4185 [H8686] departed H8432 not out H168 of the tent.

12 H4872 And Moses H559 [H8799] said H3068 to the LORD, H7200 [H8798] See, H559 [H8802] thou sayest H5927 [H8685] to me, Bring up H5971 this people: H3045 [H8689] and thou hast not let me know H7971 [H8799] whom thou wilt send H559 [H8804] with me. Yet thou hast said, H3045 [H8804] I know H8034 thee by name, H4672 [H8804] and thou hast also found H2580 grace H5869 in my eyes.

13 H4672 [H8804] Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found H2580 grace H5869 in thine eyes, H3045 [H8685] show H1870 me now thy way, H3045 [H8799] that I may know H4672 [H8799] thee, that I may find H2580 grace H5869 in thine eyes: H7200 [H8798] and see H1471 that this nation H5971 is thy people.

14 H559 [H8799] And he said, H6440 My face H3212 [H8799] shall go H5117 [H8689] with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15 H559 [H8799] And he said H6440 to him, If thy face H1980 [H8802] go H5927 [H8686] not with me, lead us not up from here.

16 H3045 [H8735] For how then shall it be known H645 here H5971 that I and thy people H4672 [H8804] have found H2580 grace H5869 in thine eyes? H3212 [H8800] is it not in that thou goest H6395 [H8738] with us? so shall we be separated, H5971 I and thy people, H5971 from all the people H6440 that are upon the face H127 of the soil.

17 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H4872 to Moses, H6213 [H8799] I will do H1697 this thing H1696 [H8765] also that thou hast spoken: H4672 [H8804] for thou hast found H2580 grace H5869 in my eyes, H3045 [H8799] and I know H8034 thee by name.

18 H559 [H8799] And he said, H4994 I beseech thee, H7200 [H8685] show H3519 me thy glory.

19 H559 [H8799] And he said, H2898 I will make all my goodness H5674 [H8686] pass H7121 [H8804] before thee, and I will call H8034 the name H3068 of the LORD H6440 at the face of H2603 [H8804] thee; and will be gracious H2603 [H8799] to whom I will be gracious, H7355 [H8765] and will fondle H7355 [H8762] whom I will fondle.

20 H559 [H8799] And he said, H3201 [H8799] Thou canst H7200 [H8800] not see H6440 my face: H120 for there shall no man H7200 [H8799] see H2425 [H8804] me, and live.

21 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said, H4725 Behold, there is a place H5324 [H8738] by me, and thou shalt stand H6697 upon a rock:

22 H3519 And it shall come to pass, while my glory H5674 [H8800] passeth by, H7760 [H8804] that I will put H5366 thee in a cleft H6697 of the rock, H5526 [H8804] and will cover H3709 thee with my palm H5704 while H5674 [H8800] I pass by:

23 H5493 [H8689] And I will take H3709 away my palm, H7200 [H8804] and thou shalt see H268 my back parts: H6440 but my face H7200 [H8735] shall not be seen.
