Ezekiel 21:1-23 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

3 H559 [H8804] And say H127 to the soil H3478 of Israel, H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD; H3318 [H8689] Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth H2719 my sword H8593 out of its sheath, H3772 [H8689] and will cut off H6662 from thee the righteous H7563 and the wicked.

4 H3282 Seeing H3772 [H8689] then that I will cut off H6662 from thee the righteous H7563 and the wicked, H2719 therefore shall my sword H3318 [H8799] go forth H8593 from its sheath H1320 against all flesh H5045 from the south H6828 to the north:

5 H1320 That all flesh H3045 [H8804] may know H3068 that I the LORD H3318 [H8689] have drawn H2719 my sword H8593 out of its sheath: H7725 [H8799] it shall not return any more.

6 H584 [H8734] Sigh H1121 therefore, thou son H120 of man, H7670 with the breaking H4975 of thy loins; H4814 and with bitterness H584 [H8735] sigh H5869 before their eyes.

8 H1697 Again the word H3068 of the LORD H559 [H8800] came to me, saying,

9 H1121 Son H120 of man, H5012 [H8734] prophesy, H559 [H8804] and say, H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD; H559 [H8798] Say, H2719 A sword, H2719 a sword H2300 [H8717] is sharpened, H4803 [H8803] and also polished:

10 H2300 [H8717] It is sharpened H2874 to make a grievous H2873 [H8800] slaughter; H4178 [H8794] it is polished H1300 that it may glitter: H176 should H7797 [H8799] we then make mirth? H3988 [H8802] it despiseth H7626 the rod H1121 of my son, H6086 as every tree.

11 H5414 [H8799] And he hath given H4803 [H8800] it to be polished, H3709 H8610 [H8800] that it may be handled: H2719 the sword H2300 [H8717] is sharpened, H4178 [H8794] and it is polished, H5414 [H8800] to give H3027 it into the hand H2026 [H8802] of the slayer.

12 H2199 [H8798] Cry H3213 [H8685] and wail, H1121 son H120 of man: H5971 for it shall be upon my people, H5387 it shall be upon all the princes H3478 of Israel: H4048 [H8803] terrors H413 by reason of H2719 the sword H5971 shall be upon my people: H5606 [H8798] smite H3409 therefore upon thy thigh.

13 H974 [H8795] Because it is a trial, H3988 [H8802] and what if the sword despise H7626 even the rod? H5002 [H8803] it shall be no more, saith H136 the Sovereign H3069 LORD.

14 H1121 Thou therefore, son H120 of man, H5012 [H8734] prophesy, H5221 0 and smite H3709 thy palms H5221 [H8685] together, H2719 and let the sword H3717 [H8735] be doubled H7992 the third H2719 time, the sword H2491 of the slain: H2719 it is the sword H1419 of the great H2491 men that are slain, H2314 [H8802] which entereth into their private chambers.

15 H5414 [H8804] I have set H19 the point H2719 of the sword H8179 against all their gates, H3820 that their heart H4127 [H8800] may melt, H4383 and their ruins H7235 [H8687] be multiplied: H253 ah! H6213 [H8803] it is made H1300 bright, H4593 it is sharpened H2874 for the slaughter.

16 H258 [H8690] Go thee one way or other, H7760 [H8685] either on H3231 [H8685] the right hand, H8041 [H8685] or on the left, H575 wherever H6440 thy face H3259 [H8716] is set.

19 H1121 Also, thou son H120 of man, H7760 [H8798] mark H8147 two H1870 ways, H2719 that the sword H4428 of the king H894 of Babylon H935 [H8800] may come: H8147 both ways H3318 [H8799] shall come forth H259 from one H776 land: H1254 [H8761] and choose H3027 thou a place, H1254 [H8761] choose H7218 it at the head H1870 of the way H5892 to the city.

20 H7760 [H8799] Mark H1870 a way, H2719 that the sword H935 [H8800] may come H7237 to Rabbah H1121 H5983 of the Ammonites, H3063 and to Judah H3389 in Jerusalem H1219 [H8803] the fortified.

21 H4428 For the king H894 of Babylon H5975 [H8804] stood H517 at the parting H1870 of the way, H7218 at the head H8147 of the two H1870 ways, H7080 [H8800] to use H7081 divination: H2671 he made his arrows H7043 [H8773] bright, H7592 [H8804] he consulted H8655 with images, H7200 [H8804] he looked H3516 in the liver.

22 H3225 At his right hand H7081 was the divination H3389 for Jerusalem, H7760 [H8800] to appoint H3733 captains, H6605 [H8800] to open H6310 the mouth H7524 in the slaughter, H7311 [H8687] to lift up H6963 the voice H8643 with shouting, H7760 [H8800] to appoint H3733 battering rams H8179 against the gates, H8210 [H8800] to cast H5550 a siege mound, H1129 [H8800] and to build H1785 a fort.

23 H7723 And it shall be to them as a false H7080 [H8800] divination H5869 in their eyes, H7650 [H8803] to them that have sworn H7621 oaths: H2142 [H8688] but he will call to remembrance H5771 the perversity, H8610 [H8736] that they may be taken.
