Jeremiah 19

  1 H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD, H1980 [H8800] Go H7069 [H8804] and get H3335 [H8802] a potter's H2789 earthen H1228 bottle, H2205 and take of the ancients H5971 of the people, H2205 and of the ancients H3548 of the priests;

  2 H3318 [H8804] And go forth H1516 to the valley H1121 of the son H2011 of Hinnom, H6607 which is by the entrance H2777 of the east H8179 gate, H7121 [H8804] and call H1697 there the words H1696 [H8762] that I shall tell thee,

  3 H559 [H8804] And say, H8085 [H8798] Hear H1697 ye the word H3068 of the LORD, H4428 O kings H3063 of Judah, H3427 [H8802] and inhabitants H3389 of Jerusalem; H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts, H430 the God H3478 of Israel; H935 [H8688] Behold, I will bring H7451 evil H4725 upon this place, H8085 [H8802] which whoever heareth, H241 his ears H6750 [H8799] shall tingle.

  4 H5800 [H8804] Because they have forsaken H5234 [H8762] me, and have estranged H4725 this place, H6999 [H8762] and have burned incense H312 in it to other H430 gods, H1 whom neither they nor their fathers H3045 [H8804] have known, H4428 nor the kings H3063 of Judah, H4390 [H8804] and have filled H4725 this place H1818 with the blood H5355 of innocents;

  5 H1129 [H8804] They have built H1116 also the high places H1168 of Baal, H8313 [H8800] to burn H1121 their sons H784 with fire H5930 for burnt offerings H1168 to Baal, H6680 [H8765] which I commanded H1696 [H8765] not, nor spoke H5927 [H8804] it, neither came H3820 it into my heart:

  6 H3117 Therefore, behold, the days H935 [H8802] come, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD, H4725 that this place H7121 [H8735] shall no more be called H8612 Tophet, H1516 nor The valley H1121 of the son H2011 of Hinnom, H1516 but The valley H2028 of slaughter.

  7 H1238 [H8804] And I will make void H6098 the counsel H3063 of Judah H3389 and Jerusalem H4725 in this place; H5307 [H8689] and I will cause them to fall H2719 by the sword H6440 at the face of H341 [H8802] their enemies, H3027 and by the hands H1245 [H8764] of them that seek H5315 their lives: H5038 and their dead bodies H5414 [H8804] will I give H3978 to be food H5775 for the fowls H8064 of the heaven, H929 and for the beasts H776 of the earth.

  8 H7760 [H8804] And I will make H5892 this city H8047 desolate, H8322 and an hissing; H5674 [H8802] every one that passeth H8074 [H8799] by it shall be astonished H8319 [H8799] and hiss H4347 because of all its plagues.

  9 H398 [H8689] And I will cause them to eat H1320 the flesh H1121 of their sons H1320 and the flesh H1323 of their daughters, H398 [H8799] and they shall eat H376 every one H1320 the flesh H7453 of his friend H4692 in the siege H4689 and distress, H341 [H8802] with which their enemies, H1245 [H8764] and they that seek H5315 their lives, H6693 [H8686] shall distress them.

  10 H7665 [H8804] Then shalt thou break H1228 the bottle H5869 in the eyes H582 of the men H1980 [H8802] that go with thee,

  11 H559 [H8804] And shalt say H559 [H8804] to them, Thus saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts; H3602 Even so H7665 [H8799] will I break H5971 this people H5892 and this city, H7665 [H8799] as one breaketh H3335 [H8802] a potter's H3627 vessel, H3201 [H8799] that cannot H7495 [H8736] be made whole again: H6912 [H8799] and they shall bury H8612 them in Tophet, H4725 till there be no place H6912 [H8800] to bury.

  12 H6213 [H8799] Thus will I do H4725 to this place, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD, H3427 [H8802] and to its inhabitants, H5414 [H8800] and even make H5892 this city H8612 as Tophet:

  13 H1004 And the houses H3389 of Jerusalem, H1004 and the houses H4428 of the kings H3063 of Judah, H2931 shall be defiled H4725 as the place H8612 of Tophet, H1004 because of all the houses H1406 upon whose roofs H6999 [H8765] they have burned incense H6635 to all the host H8064 of heaven, H5258 [H8687] and have poured out H5262 drink offerings H312 to other H430 gods.

  14 H935 [H8799] Then came H3414 Jeremiah H8612 from Tophet, H3068 where the LORD H7971 [H8804] had sent H5012 [H8736] him to prophesy; H5975 [H8799] and he stood H2691 in the court H3068 of the LORD'S H1004 house; H559 [H8799] and said H5971 to all the people,

  15 H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts, H430 the God H3478 of Israel; H935 [H8688] Behold, I will bring H5892 upon this city H5892 and upon all her towns H7451 all the evil H1696 [H8765] that I have pronounced H7185 [H8689] against it, because they have hardened H6203 their necks, H8085 [H8800] that they might not hear H1697 my words.
