Joshua 14 And these are the countries which the sons of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them.

1 H1121 And these are the countries which the sons H3478 of Israel H5157 [H8804] inherited H776 in the land H3667 of Canaan, H499 which Eleazar H3548 the priest, H3091 and Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun, H7218 and the heads H1 of the fathers H4294 of the tribes H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel, H5157 [H8765] distributed for inheritance to them.

2 H1486 By lot H5159 was their inheritance, H3068 as the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H3027 by the hand H4872 of Moses, H8672 for the nine H4294 tribes, H2677 and for the half H4294 tribe.

3 H4872 For Moses H5414 [H8804] had given H5159 the inheritance H8147 of two H4294 tribes H2677 and an half H4294 tribe H5676 on the other side H3383 of Jordan: H3881 but to the Levites H5414 [H8804] he gave H5159 no inheritance H8432 among them.

4 H1121 For the sons H3130 of Joseph H8147 were two H4294 tribes, H4519 Manasseh H669 and Ephraim: H5414 [H8804] therefore they gave H2506 no part H3881 to the Levites H776 in the land, H5892 except cities H3427 [H8800] to dwell H4054 in, with their common lands H4735 for their cattle H7075 and for their substance.

5 H3068 As the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H4872 Moses, H1121 so the sons H3478 of Israel H6213 [H8804] did, H2505 [H8799] and they divided H776 the land.

6 H1121 Then the sons H3063 of Judah H5066 [H8799] came H3091 to Joshua H1537 in Gilgal: H3612 and Caleb H1121 the son H3312 of Jephunneh H7074 the Kenezite H559 [H8799] said H3045 [H8804] to him, Thou knowest H1697 the thing H3068 that the LORD H1696 [H8765] said H4872 to Moses H376 the man H430 of God H182 concerning me H182 and thee H6947 in Kadeshbarnea.

9 H4872 And Moses H7650 [H8735] swore H3117 on that day, H559 [H8800] saying, H776 Surely the land H7272 on which thy feet H1869 [H8804] have trodden H5159 shall be thine inheritance, H1121 and thy son's H5704 for H5769 ever, H4390 [H8765] because thou hast wholly H310 followed H3068 the LORD H430 my God.

10 H3068 And now, behold, the LORD H2421 [H8689] hath kept me alive, H1696 [H8765] as he said, H705 these forty H2568 and five H8141 years, H227 even since H3068 the LORD H1696 [H8765] spoke H1697 this word H4872 to Moses, H3478 while the children of Israel H1980 [H8804] wandered H4057 in the wilderness: H3117 and now, lo, I am this day H8084 eighty H2568 and five H8141 years H1121 old.

11 H2389 As yet I am as strong H3117 this day H3117 as I was in the day H4872 that Moses H7971 [H8800] sent H3581 me: as my strength H3581 was then, even so is my strength H4421 now, for war, H3318 [H8800] both to go out, H935 [H8800] and to come in.

13 H3091 And Joshua H1288 [H8762] blessed H5414 [H8799] him, and gave H3612 to Caleb H1121 the son H3312 of Jephunneh H2275 Hebron H5159 for an inheritance.

14 H2275 Hebron H5159 therefore became the inheritance H3612 of Caleb H1121 the son H3312 of Jephunneh H7074 the Kenezite H3117 to this day, H4390 [H8765] because that he wholly H310 followed H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel.

15 H8034 And the name H2275 of Hebron H6440 at the face of H7153 was Kirjatharba; H1419 which Arba was a great H120 man H6062 among the Anakims. H776 And the land H8252 [H8804] had rest H4421 from war.
