Joshua 5 And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, who were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, who were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from the face of the sons of Israel, until we had passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the sons of Israel.

2 H6256 At that time H3068 the LORD H559 [H8804] said H3091 to Joshua, H6213 [H8798] Make H6697 thee sharp H2719 knives, H4135 [H8798] and circumcise H7725 [H8798] again H1121 the sons H3478 of Israel H8145 the second time.

3 H3091 And Joshua H6213 [H8799] made H6697 him sharp H2719 knives, H4135 [H8799] and circumcised H1121 the sons H3478 of Israel H1389 at the hill H6190 of the foreskins.

7 H1121 And their sons, H6965 [H8689] whom he raised up H3091 in their stead, them Joshua H4135 [H8804] circumcised: H6189 for they were uncircumcised, H4135 [H8804] because they had not circumcised H1870 them by the way.

8 H8552 [H8804] And it came to pass, when they had done H4135 [H8736] circumcising H1471 all the nation, H3427 [H8799] that they abode H4264 in their places in the camp, H2421 [H8800] till they were healed.

9 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H3091 to Joshua, H3117 This day H1556 [H8804] have I rolled away H2781 the reproach H4714 of Egypt H8034 from off you. Therefore the name H4725 of the place H7121 [H8799] is called H1537 Gilgal H3117 to this day.

10 H1121 And the sons H3478 of Israel H2583 [H8799] encamped H1537 in Gilgal, H6213 [H8799] and kept H6453 the passover H702 H6240 on the fourteenth H3117 day H2320 of the month H6153 at evening H6160 in the plains H3405 of Jericho.

11 H398 [H8799] And they ate H5669 of the old grain H776 of the land H4283 on the next day H6453 after the passover, H4682 unleavened cakes, H7033 [H8803] and roasted H6106 grain in the same H3117 day.

13 H3091 And it came to pass, when Joshua H3405 was by Jericho, H5375 [H8799] that he lifted up H5869 his eyes H7200 [H8799] and looked, H5975 [H8802] and, behold, there stood H376 a man H2719 opposite him with his sword H8025 [H8803] drawn H3027 in his hand: H3091 and Joshua H3212 [H8799] went H559 [H8799] to him, and said H6862 to him, Art thou for us, or for our constricters?

14 H559 [H8799] And he said, H8269 Nay; but as captain H6635 of the host H3068 of the LORD H935 [H8804] am I now come. H3091 And Joshua H5307 [H8799] fell H6440 on his face H776 to the earth, H7812 [H8691] and worshipped, H559 [H8799] and said H1696 [H8764] to him, What saith H113 my sovereign H5650 to his servant?

15 H8269 And the captain H3068 of the LORD'S H6635 host H559 [H8799] said H3091 to Joshua, H5394 [H8798] Loose H5275 thy shoe H7272 from off thy foot; H4725 for the place H5975 [H8802] on which thou standest H6944 is holy. H3091 And Joshua H6213 [H8799] did so.
