Joshua 6 Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the sons of Israel: none went out, and none came in.

2 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H3091 to Joshua, H7200 [H8798] See, H5414 [H8804] I have given H3027 into thine hand H3405 Jericho, H4428 and its king, H1368 and the mighty men H2428 of valour.

3 H5437 [H8804] And ye shall march around H5892 the city, H582 all ye men H4421 of war, H5362 [H8687] and go round H5892 the city H6471 H259 once. H6213 [H8799] Thus shalt thou do H8337 six H3117 days.

4 H7651 And seven H3548 priests H5375 [H8799] shall bear H6440 at the face of H727 the ark H7651 seven H7782 shofars H3104 of jubilee: H7637 and the seventh H3117 day H5437 [H8799] ye shall march around H5892 the city H7651 seven H6471 times, H3548 and the priests H8628 [H8799] shall blow H7782 with the shofars.

5 H4900 [H8800] And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long H3104 blast with the jubilee H7161 horn, H8085 [H8800] and when ye hear H6963 the sound H7782 of the shofar, H5971 all the people H7321 [H8686] shall shout H1419 with a great H8643 shout; H2346 and the wall H5892 of the city H5307 [H8804] shall fall down H8478 flat, H5971 and the people H5927 [H8804] shall go up H376 every man straight before him.

6 H3091 And Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun H7121 [H8799] called H3548 the priests, H559 [H8799] and said H5375 [H8798] to them, Take up H727 the ark H1285 of the covenant, H7651 and let seven H3548 priests H5375 [H8799] bear H7651 seven H7782 shofars H3104 of jubilee H6440 at the face of H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD.

7 H559 [H8799] And he said H5971 to the people, H5674 [H8798] Pass on, H5437 [H8798] and march around H5892 the city, H2502 [H8803] and let him that is armed H5674 [H8799] pass on H6440 at the face of H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD.

8 H3091 And it came to pass, when Joshua H559 [H8800] had spoken H5971 to the people, H7651 that the seven H3548 priests H5375 [H8802] bearing H7651 the seven H7782 shofars H3104 of jubilee H5674 [H8804] passed on H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD, H8628 [H8804] and blew H7782 with the shofars: H727 and the ark H1285 of the covenant H3068 of the LORD H1980 [H8802] followed H310 them.

9 H2502 [H8803] And the armed H1980 [H8802] men went H6440 at the face of H3548 the priests H8628 H8628 [H8802] that blew H7782 with the shofars, H622 [H8764] and the rear guard H1980 [H8802] came H310 after H727 the ark, H1980 [H8800] the priests going on, H8628 [H8800] and blowing H7782 with the shofars.

10 H3091 And Joshua H6680 [H8765] had commanded H5971 the people, H559 [H8800] saying, H7321 [H8686] Ye shall not shout, H8085 [H8686] nor make any noise H6963 with your voice, H1697 neither shall any word H3318 [H8799] proceed H6310 from your mouth, H3117 until the day H559 [H8800] I bid H7321 [H8685] you shout; H7321 [H8689] then shall ye shout.

11 H727 So the ark H3068 of the LORD H5437 [H8686] went around H5892 the city, H5362 [H8687] going about H6471 H259 it once: H935 [H8799] and they came H4264 into the camp, H3885 [H8799] and lodged H4264 in the camp.

12 H3091 And Joshua H7925 [H8686] rose early H1242 in the morning, H3548 and the priests H5375 [H8799] took up H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD.

13 H7651 And seven H3548 priests H5375 [H8802] bearing H7651 seven H7782 shofars H3104 of jubilee H6440 at the face of H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD H1980 [H8802] went on H1980 [H8800] continually, H8628 [H8804] and blew H7782 with the shofars: H2502 [H8803] and the armed men H1980 [H8802] went H6440 at the face of H622 [H8764] them; but the rear guard H1980 [H8802] came H310 after H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD, H1980 [H8800] the priests going on, H8628 [H8800] and blowing H7782 with the shofars.

14 H8145 And the second H3117 day H5437 [H8799] they marched around H5892 the city H6471 H259 once, H7725 [H8799] and returned H4264 into the camp: H6213 [H8804] so they did H8337 six H3117 days.

15 H7637 And it came to pass on the seventh H3117 day, H7925 [H8686] that they rose early H5927 [H8800] about the dawning H7837 of the day, H5437 [H8799] and marched around H5892 the city H4941 after the same manner H7651 seven H6471 times: H3117 only on that day H5437 [H8804] they marched around H5892 the city H7651 seven H6471 times.

16 H7637 And it came to pass at the seventh H6471 time, H3548 when the priests H8628 [H8804] blew H7782 with the shofars, H3091 Joshua H559 [H8799] said H5971 to the people, H7321 [H8685] Shout; H3068 for the LORD H5414 [H8804] hath given H5892 you the city.

17 H5892 And the city H2764 shall be secluded, H3068 even it, and all that are in it, to the LORD: H7343 only Rahab H2181 [H8802] the harlot H2421 [H8799] shall live, H1004 she and all that are with her in the house, H2244 [H8689] because she hid H4397 the messengers H7971 [H8804] that we sent.

18 H7535 And ye, in every way H8104 [H8798] keep H2764 yourselves from the secluded thing, H2763 [H8686] lest ye make yourselves secluded, H3947 [H8804] when ye take H2764 of the secluded thing, H7760 [H8804] and make H4264 the camp H3478 of Israel H2764 secluded, H5916 [H8804] and trouble it.

19 H3701 But all the silver, H2091 and gold, H3627 and vessels H5178 of brass H1270 and iron, H6944 are consecrated H3068 to the LORD: H935 [H8799] they shall come H214 into the treasury H3068 of the LORD.

20 H5971 So the people H7321 [H8686] shouted H8628 [H8799] when the priests blew H7782 with the shofars: H5971 and it came to pass, when the people H8085 [H8800] heard H6963 the sound H7782 of the shofar, H5971 and the people H7321 [H8686] shouted H1419 with a great H8643 shout, H2346 that the wall H5307 [H8799] fell down flat, H5971 so that the people H5927 [H8799] went up H5892 into the city, H376 every man H3920 [H8799] straight before him, and they took H5892 the city.

21 H2763 [H8686] And they utterly secluded H5892 all that was in the city, H376 both man H802 and woman, H5288 young H2205 and old, H7794 and ox, H7716 and sheep, H2543 and donkey, H6310 with the edge H2719 of the sword.

22 H3091 But Joshua H559 [H8804] had said H8147 to the two H582 men H7270 [H8764] that spied out H776 the land, H935 [H8798] Go H2181 [H8802] into the harlot's H1004 house, H3318 [H8685] and bring out H802 from there the woman, H7650 [H8738] and all that she hath, as ye swore to her.

23 H5288 And the young men H7270 [H8764] that were spies H935 [H8799] went in, H3318 [H8686] and brought out H7343 Rahab, H1 and her father, H517 and her mother, H251 and her brethren, H3318 [H8689] and all that she had; and they brought out H4940 all her kindred, H3240 [H8686] and left H2351 them outside H4264 the camp H3478 of Israel.

24 H8313 [H8804] And they burnt H5892 the city H784 with fire, H3701 and all that was in it: only the silver, H2091 and the gold, H3627 and the vessels H5178 of brass H1270 and of iron, H5414 [H8804] they put H214 into the treasury H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD.

25 H3091 And Joshua H2421 0 saved H7343 Rahab H2181 [H8802] the harlot H2421 [H8689] alive, H1 and her father's H1004 household, H3427 [H8799] and all that she had; and she dwelleth H7130 in H3478 Israel H3117 even to this day; H2244 [H8689] because she hid H4397 the messengers, H3091 which Joshua H7971 [H8804] sent H7270 [H8763] to spy out H3405 Jericho.

26 H3091 And Joshua H7650 [H8686] charged H6256 them at that time, H559 [H8800] saying, H779 [H8803] Cursed H376 be the man H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD, H6965 [H8799] that riseth up H1129 [H8804] and buildeth H5892 this city H3405 Jericho: H3245 [H8762] he shall lay its foundation H1060 in his firstborn, H6810 and in his youngest H5324 [H8686] son shall he set up H1817 the gates of it.

27 H3068 So the LORD H3091 was with Joshua; H8089 and his fame H776 was noised throughout all the land.
