³¹ Jesus therefore said to those Jews who have believed him: If ye continue in my word, ye are truly my disciples; ³² and ye shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; ¹⁹ because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it to them. ²⁰ For, from the creation of the world, his invisible things are clearly seen, being perceived by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

¹⁷ So then faith comes of hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

²¹ but prove all things, hold fast that which is good. ²² Abstain from every form of evil.

² And be not conformed to this world; but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may discern what is the will of God, the good, and well pleasing, and perfect.

³⁶ He that believes on the Son has everlasting life; and he that believes not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes on him, should not perish, but may have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God sent not his Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world through him might be saved. ¹⁸ He that believes on him is not judged; but he that believes not has already been judged, because he has not believed on the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

²² And some refute when they are contending; but others save, snatching them out of the fire;
