¹ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

⁷ He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth on nothing.

¹ Can you draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which you let down? ² Can you put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn? ³ Will he make many supplications to you? will he speak soft words to you? ⁴ Will he make a covenant with you? will you take him for a servant for ever? ⁵ Will you play with him as with a bird? or will you bind him for your maidens? ⁶ Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?

¹³ He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.

²³ Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hastens to the snare, and knows not that it is for his life.

¹ In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

¹² And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.

¹⁸ For truly I say to you, Till heaven and earth pass, one stroke or one pronunciation mark shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

⁴⁶ And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. ⁴⁷ And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me. ⁴⁸ And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, You son of David, have mercy on me. ⁴⁹ And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying to him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calls you. ⁵⁰ And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. ⁵¹ And Jesus answered and said to him, What will you that I should do to you? The blind man said to him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. ⁵² And Jesus said to him, Go your way; your faith has made you whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

¹ When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, ² (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) ³ He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. ⁴ And he must needs go through Samaria. ⁵ Then comes he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. ⁶ Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. ⁷ There comes a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus said to her, Give me to drink. ⁸ (For his disciples were gone away to the city to buy meat.) ⁹ Then said the woman of Samaria to him, How is it that you, being a Jew, ask drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. ¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that said to you, Give me to drink; you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water. ¹¹ The woman said to him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from where then have you that living water? ¹² Are you greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? ¹³ Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again: ¹⁴ But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. ¹⁵ The woman said to him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come here to draw. ¹⁶ Jesus said to her, Go, call your husband, and come here. ¹⁷ The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said to her, You have well said, I have no husband: ¹⁸ For you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband: in that said you truly. ¹⁹ The woman said to him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. ²⁰ Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and you say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. ²¹ Jesus said to her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when you shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. ²² You worship you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. ²³ But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. ²⁴ God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. ²⁵ The woman said to him, I know that Messias comes, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. ²⁶ Jesus said to her, I that speak to you am he. ²⁷ And on this came his disciples, and marveled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seek you? or, Why talk you with her? ²⁸ The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and said to the men, ²⁹ Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? ³⁰ Then they went out of the city, and came to him.

¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

⁸ And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things said the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

¹⁸ You shall not suffer a witch to live.

⁵ He sent messengers therefore to Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me: ⁶ Come now therefore, I pray you, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed. ⁷ And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came to Balaam, and spoke to him the words of Balak. ⁸ And he said to them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the LORD shall speak to me: and the princes of Moab stayed with Balaam. ⁹ And God came to Balaam, and said, What men are these with you? ¹⁰ And Balaam said to God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent to me, saying, ¹¹ Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covers the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out. ¹² And God said to Balaam, You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people: for they are blessed. ¹³ And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said to the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: for the LORD refuses to give me leave to go with you. ¹⁴ And the princes of Moab rose up, and they went to Balak, and said, Balaam refuses to come with us. ¹⁵ And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honorable than they. ¹⁶ And they came to Balaam, and said to him, Thus said Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I pray you, hinder you from coming to me: ¹⁷ For I will promote you to very great honor, and I will do whatever you say to me: come therefore, I pray you, curse me this people. ¹⁸ And Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more. ¹⁹ Now therefore, I pray you, tarry you also here this night, that I may know what the LORD will say to me more. ²⁰ And God came to Balaam at night, and said to him, If the men come to call you, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say to you, that shall you do. ²¹ And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab. ²² And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding on his ass, and his two servants were with him. ²³ And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way. ²⁴ But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side. ²⁵ And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself to the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again. ²⁶ And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. ²⁷ And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. ²⁸ And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said to Balaam, What have I done to you, that you have smitten me these three times? ²⁹ And Balaam said to the ass, Because you have mocked me: I would there were a sword in my hand, for now would I kill you. ³⁰ And the ass said to Balaam, Am not I your ass, on which you have ridden ever since I was your to this day? was I ever wont to do so to you? And he said, No. ³¹ Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. ³² And the angel of the LORD said to him, Why have you smitten your ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand you, because your way is perverse before me: ³³ And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain you, and saved her alive. ³⁴ And Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that you stood in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease you, I will get me back again. ³⁵ And the angel of the LORD said to Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak to you, that you shall speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak. ³⁶ And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him to a city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast. ³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, Did I not earnestly send to you to call you? why came you not to me? am I not able indeed to promote you to honor? ³⁸ And Balaam said to Balak, See, I am come to you: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God puts in my mouth, that shall I speak.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

¹⁷ Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

¹⁴ And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us:

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. ¹⁵ Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

¹⁶ All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

¹² For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

¹ Who has believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? ² For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he has no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. ³ He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. ⁴ Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. ⁵ But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. ⁷ He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opens not his mouth. ⁸ He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. ⁹ And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. ¹⁰ Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. ¹¹ He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. ¹² Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he has poured out his soul to death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

⁹ When you are come into the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. ¹⁰ There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. ¹¹ Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. ¹² For all that do these things are an abomination to the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD your God does drive them out from before you. ¹³ You shall be perfect with the LORD your God.

³¹ Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

⁷ Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.
